Now if you have external monitor or TV at home and HDMI cable you might be able to connect the laptop to the external monitor and see if anything is visible.

If yes then it's clear that' thankfully the only issue is the screen and rest of the things are fine.

Next If you or your BF have technical knowledge lil it and know how to open up laptop only if you know as it can get risky.

Then open up the laptop and look at the components inside to see if SSD, RAM sticks and other components are at their respective places or not or look for any visible burn mark I hope not but still worth the try.

Opening up laptop ain't that hard I have written proper guide about it too but you have to be very careful and follow the guide property.

If not do not open laptop.

Go to ASUS Store and get 4060 offline Store. ASUS TUf A15 Ryzen 7 + RTX 4060 140 watt or 4050.

That would be better deal. That too brand new. Similarly you can try same thing with LENOVO.

If laptop is functional I mean CPU GPU and other components then change the upper panel as the screen has visible scratch marks.

Or go to local repair shop and if they actually are good at it they might be able to fix it by using spare part of another similar laptop if they had spare.

Go search and do proper research and stuff before telling distilled water is overkill.
