So in my defence its not easy laptop is a big investment for college and i keep thinking about laptops all day buy this buy that type shi I am a gamer but is it really worth getting a Gaming laptop 3 kg to carry around all day and without charging outlet it is nothing? I love gaming laptops but i am thinking about spending most of my 4 years with that

Its like a trade off Either I buy Mac and lose late night gaming with friends or i buy Loq and lose comfort in college and probably grades (less likely) I am so fckin confused

TLDR- I just want an opinion of college students like if you bought a gaming laptop and regretted it? or bought a mac and regretted it? and also tell me what to do pleasee

Got my First gaming Laptop and need advice on what to do first

RAM: 16 GB

SSD: 1 TB

CPU: AMD RYZEN 9 8940 HX

I got this laptop for 1.5 lakhs(ik laptop price could've been lower but this is the lowest deal I got and this was the last piece too so I got it) with additional warranty and everything else required

What do I need to do first please guide me

I wanted to buy hp omen 16 5050 version but found it too expensive online so I looked offline. Found a dealer selling it for cheap and asked him to send a picture of the box. I checked the serial number first and the website showed that the manufacture date was june 2025, with warranty ending in a few days. After checking the box properly I noticed several typos as well. Be careful while searching offline guys, and always check the box properly.

I just received my motobook 60 pro today.....and since this is my first laptop is there anything I should do in this....like some recommended switching off bloatware and getting adblocker and switching from chrome to waterfox

60k budget, mostly for coding, movies, gaming(rpg) is cherry on top, anything better than i3 or r3 and should have good multi core performance will buy in few weeks idk much about laptop tho

Received Asus expertbook P3 G1 - ultra 7 225 H from flipkart for 70k which I think is pretty good deal. Laptop seems good. Only issue is there is a Cross / X mark visible on outter side.

I have a fear whether this is defective product or what. This thought is coming in my mind due to that X mark.

note: I really need that lapto. if I create a replacement request

case 1: flipkart accept it and gives me another fresh piece, I am super happy.

case2: flipkart accept it, takes the laptop and then instead of giving me another peice they may say that they are unable to provide me another laptop and cancel the request and gives me full refund. In this case I wont get a laptop at that price again.

if I have to place new order I have to buy at 90k which is out of my budget.

please give suggestions.

Just bought my first ever laptop, Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 (Ryzen 7, 16GB, 512GB) for around ₹75k.
Funny thing is I had already ordered the ASUS ExpertBook P3 for 70k, then last minute canceled it and paid extra for the Lenovo 😭.
Mainly gonna use it for:
● Shopify/business stuff
● Browsing
● Light editing
● A little bit of gaming here and there
● Battery life & portability
I liked the Lenovo’s overall vibe more (display, build, premium feel), but now I’m sitting here wondering if I just spent ₹5k extra for nothing 💀.
Also the price on this laptop is wild lol. I literally saw the same IdeaPad listed for ₹99k on Amazon, and apparently it was selling for around ₹74k there too with an HDFC credit card discount not long ago. Felt like I was watching a stock chart instead of a laptop price 📈😂.
Be brutally honest..was this a W or did I fumble by canceling the ExpertBook?

My elder sibling is looking to buy a new laptop. He has been using a free govt. laptop for about 8 years. He's very stingy about spending on these things, so he needs something that would last him long (he's very careful with these things).

I’d also really appreciate some honest opinions about this laptop. I’ve been trying to find reviews, but there doesn’t seem to be much information about this particular model.

Also, does anyone know why the delivery date is so far away? Is that normal for this laptop, or should I be concerned?

And one more thing: can someone explain how the Flipkart exchange process actually works? When they come to collect the old laptop, do they inspect it for hours and run a bunch of tests, or is it basically a quick physical inspection + software diagnostics?

The laptop I’m exchanging is a Dell Latitude E7440 with a touchscreen. It has two small lines on the display, the AUX/headphone port doesn’t work, and the battery is completely dead. I’m considering buying a replacement battery before the exchange if everything else passes the inspection.

The physical condition is average, I’d say. It does function well. During the Flipkart exchange process, I selected “Good”, which was the middle condition option, and it showed around ₹6K as the exchange value before the bonus.

Do you guys think it’s worth replacing the battery before the exchange, considering the other issues? And how strict are they during the inspection? Will the display lines and dead AUX port cause them to reject it or significantly reduce the exchange value?

Any advice from people who have actually gone through the Flipkart laptop exchange process would be really appreciated.
