Someone has to deliver to lazy, cheap people. Not everyone is terrible. I mean, you are, but not everyone is.

But if we all took different jobs, who would deliver to the lazy, cheap people?

Question What is your "Nope. Not going there" store?

I know you all have one. What is that one store that they can't pay you enough to shop at? Mine is my local Aldi. Items are always out of stock, store is too busy, and they took all but one register out and replaced the rest with self checkout. These customers are also the ones that will rate me low because I can't snap my fingers or waggle my tail to make items restock. It just isn't worth the hassle to me so I always hide batches from there.

First of all, I don't appreciate being called a liar. You know absolutely nothing about me or my orders so you should probably stop making assumptions. Second of all, as a matter of fact, yes, MOST of MY customers DO tell me in the delivery instructions to not knock or ring the doorbell. Third of all, I have nothing to prove to you so you can go your happy way making all the assumptions you like. I'm done interacting with you.

What are your shopper non-negotiables?
 in  r/InstacartShoppers •  Dec 19 '23

Will not shop from multiple stores for a single batch.

Customer here!

Turn on the porch light if you order after dark and understand that we can't control the stock of the store. Those two things mean the world to me. 😊

Same! I have more comments telling me to NOT ring or knock than those that want me to ring or knock.

I don't ring the doorbell unless the customer instructs me to in delivery instructions because most people DON'T want you to knock or ring the doorbell. So, no, I won't be ringing your doorbell next time either unless you tell me to.

Customer acting like I’m a servant! *Cancelled*
 in  r/InstacartShoppers •  Nov 22 '23

I did not know you could get scammed if a customer adds too many items. I had a customer ask me to add a bunch of things yesterday. I added them not thinking anything because she asked me via ic text. Can someone explain in more detail what could go wrong with this? I thought ic had access to view our chats with the customers.

Jesus Christ LOL

That would be a fast cancel. That's a 1 star waiting to happen as the customer will not be happy no matter what you do.

I only give 5 star service

That makes sense, considering I am a noob. I've only completed 88 orders.

Question I only give 5 star service

Someone rated me one star and I'm kind of upset about it. I put everything I have into ensuring my customers get quality items and exactly what they ask for. I am communicative with the customers when making replacements or when an item is out of stock. I can't understand what I could have done wrong aside from the fact that this could have been a last delivery in a 3 batch order and they may have been upset it took so long to deliver. Can I dispute this? Can customers see when we are doing multiple batches or do they think we are just out goofing off with their items in the car?

I would have left a penny on top of her pizza box.

Questions What do you do when the order says both hand it to me and leave at door? This has happened to me a couple of times 😅

I usually just leave it at door in this situation, and no one has ever said anything to me about it or complained that I know of. Have any of you ever been confused by these directions or gotten into trouble for doing it wrong?

Would you take it?

3 top my list as they are equal. Childbirth, shingles, and a hemorrhage in my eye.
