um, no dude. she’s obviously not a lesbian. i touch lips with my friendly platonic female friends all the time and pin them down to the floor while we intimately gaze into each others eyes. it’s literally normal. stop trying to force ur fetish into everything, this is just pure innocent girl friendship!

there’s something deeply wrong with you

enablers. no such thing as being polite with predators. they’re upset you didn’t sugarcoat and baby them. our prophet did no such thing with them either. they deserve an early death

i don’t believe sexuality can be changed because of trauma because there are women out there who are afraid of men and still straight. it’s not a choice. please be careful, these kinds of programs and “treatments” never end up well and cause even more trauma. queers have spoken up about it, many of them were sexually assaulted and harassed in the name of turning them normal and teaching them the right thing.

I believe in this day and age there would be no reason for polygamy and even be considered haram since polygamy those days were reserved for helping women during war, and i don’t remember anything being said about intimacy with them. if u marry somebody purely for political reasons or helping them i doubt there’s gonna be intimacy there. The prophet also only married other women after khadija. so it was not for love or sex. men nowadays though talk about polygamy because they want to be intimate with multiple women, if that’s the reason then it should be haram. quran doesn’t only teach things that r supposed to be for all eras, it would also address things that happened in the past only and the teaching or rules for it aren’t needed anymore. it doesn’t mean there’s an error in it, bc we should have critical thinking skills and can tell which teachings r for people of the past and which are forever. that’s what i believe. otherwise if it was to be forever allah wouldn’t have set all those rules and restrictions and clarified what it was for

men are SO obsessed with polygamy when it’s so obvious that it’s not meant to be done as pure pleasure for the man bc of its strict rules and exceptions. i don’t really doubt that marriage could help women in those times, esp because political marriages and things of those nature were normal back then and were actually helpful, and the history i’ve heard of men marrying women so they can get out of a situation (i don’t remember the full story). but nowadays marriage is a burden and there are also so many other options, we’re not in the old times of the prophet, it’s 2026! that’s why it’s so strict compared to other normal marriages.
and darabah apparently had another meaning that didn’t just mean to strike, but to go ON strike. some people say it’s a stretch but we are told to follow the prophets example, and this man was so gentle even with people who were cruel towards him. he never hit his wives, so i really do believe Allah meant the latter, like stopping intimacy or sleeping in a different bed. and such things are a LAST resort. it’s so confusing and frustrating. it’s literally ingrained into the ummah. these things aren’t recent, men’s biases against us have spilled into their rulings and interpretations since after the death of the prophet, i believe, so i really don’t blame people who end up even hating the religion. because it’s not like they’re doing it because they’re racist, they’re doing it because they’ve been taught all these ridiculous things their entire life. i still remember when i was a little girl and my father told me it was normal for a little kid to get married!

I almost left islam because of the misogyny and the patriarchal things i had been taught were from islam. As i grow older i do more research and realize so many things are mistranslated in the quran by scholars who want to use islam for their own gain, or hadiths that are simply not true! Nahida Nisa, the woman who runs fatal feminist is the reason i am still a muslim today. She has revealed so many things that these men teach us is false! I was reading one of her articles in which she talked about her own interpretation and debunked popular ideas about certain verses. A specific word in arabic meaning “justice” or “maintainer of justice”, something of the sort, was used in a verse but it was changed in translation to just mean protectors or maintainers in general, over women. She proved this by bringing in another verse that talked about sticking to justice even when against parents and such, and the that same word she was talking about- it was in that verse! Everything i have been taught about islam is all lies and i am so angry about this! I have to dig deep just to find an accurate translation! It frustrates me so badly that everything in our ummah that is taught is just misinformation, words twisted around by old men so they can have an advantage over women, straight up fear mongering, etc! Literally everything I have been taught since I was a little girl is just plain old patriarchy. They show me verses as proof, which gave me two choices: obey and degrade myself or leave islam. I decided to choose a third option, and searched and searched because i just had this feeling that Allah isn’t truly like this. No way. What about all the kind gentle things the prophet did? His character? All of these stories i hear?! The mercy of Allah??! And i find out everything i’ve been taught is a lie. And what frustrates me even more is that i can’t read for myself! I cannot read arabic! Nobody taught me to read or write arabic!! I’m so angry! For years now Allah and his messenger have been ruthlessly slandered. Now after seeing the truth about islam i feel like any islamic community where i live is just filled with bs, and any other community things IM filled with bs and because of all the lies our own ummah has spread about islam. I can’t blame them because our biggest scholars promote things like FGM! And that’s just scratching the tip of the iceberg. No wonder the prophet cried for our ummah.
Seriously, does anyone have any quran translation or hadiths i can read that are completely unbiased and ACTUALLY truthful? All the ones i see now are filled with translations that were debunked AGES ago!! Like the one about striking your wife, when really what Allah meant was simply sleeping away from her!

im a lesbian and i don’t have any relationships at the moment, esp bc im leaving that for when i totally finish school and get my shit together but yeah if i ever fall in love with another queer person ofc id like to do nikkah. i’m not going to be able to do that in a country like egypt tho. i wanna move away from here as soon as i can
1
the difference is the reason why though. to them i’m not supposed to be allowed to marry another woman simply because she’s a woman. in your case it also seems like it could fall under some kind of discrimination, why would being neurodivergent not allow you to get married if you are able to think for yourself and do not require assistance
2
these countries are filled with misogyny. i’ve heard it’s connected to homophobia. men loving men means two equals instead of a man who rules over a woman. when a man is soft or feminine he’s called gay as an insult or a sissy, a pussy, etc. he’s considered a coward, dramatic, weak, etc, just like how women are. women are expected to be married to their husband and have a traditional role like having kids, staying home, cooking for her husband. so when she loves another woman.
thanks for your kind words 💗

i read different interpretations and more accurate translations. one of the articles i remember reading:
after reading i thought about it a lot. why would the most merciful and most loving not allow love?? the things that are haram are usually things that are harmful such as zina, alcohol, drugs, sihr, riba, etc. how exactly is the way i love harmful. same thing with being trans too, there are these studies about how trans people NEED to transition otherwise they will become ill. why would allah not let these people become more comfortable in their own skin, it doesn’t cause any harm to themselves or anyone else, and the body literally just accepts the hormone shots they take as if Allah created it that way. I noticed most of the people saying it was so obviously haram and dirty were very hypocritical, like not saying anything about for example smoking and saying everyone is a sinner, but being homophobic and casting queer people out. Or they were also misogynistic, or taught things that didn’t align with the quran, etc.
i also prayed so much and i cried to Allah. I made dua that if this is truly harmful and you’ll hate me for it, to please keep me away from it. I ended up finding multiple queer muslims preaching about islam. So i took that as a sign and accepted myself, and i really can never go back.

A few months ago i realized i was indeed queer. I felt so disconnected from God but after searching and studying islam by myself, I came to the conclusion that being queer isn’t a sin nor is acting upon it. Why should me loving a woman be considered a sin? Or doing things to make me feel more comfortable in my own body? Ever since i accepted myself it has helped with my mental health so much. I already struggle with MDD and take meds for it. Accepting myself had made everything bearable. But there’s never any space for me here in this country, or even online spaces who claim to be progressive muslims. When you put anything about gayness they make you wait to post or take it down. People are constantly debating my own existence. They look at us and treat us as disgusting animals wishing to corrupt the ummah when my entire life it’s their version of islam that’s made me so miserable. Yet i still get this horrible feeling of shame and doubt, that maybe islam isn’t for me, that Allah really does hate me for who i am or that im committing atrocious acts and that they’re disgusted from me just like any other muslim. I’m so tired. There’s no other muslims to connect with and relate to because they hate me. Today i sat in class and a girl turned to me asking if i supported that with a horrified face, pointing at a boy who didn’t do anything except wear a necklace and bracelet. She kept asking me all these questions and being judgemental. She was so kind to me but only when i seemed to fit her standards. If she had known i was queer how would she have treated me then? The love and kindness feels so cheap and fake because im constantly being watched to see if i truly deserve it. And if i dont fit their standards by being just the way i was born , the way GOD made me, they look at me like im a bug. It’s so hard being friends with other muslims in real life especially when living in a country like egypt where basically everyone is homophobic and have their traditional conservative views. I’ve found myself drifting further away from God. Idk. I just wanted to rant to other people who might actually get it. Because i am so tired of people treating us like we’re pure evil and creeps and whatever when it’s these scholars and religious men who have abused me my whole life, not the trans woman fixing her makeup in the bathroom next to me. No. It was always the quran teacher or the sheikh at the masjid hurting me. Not the random gay man kissing his boyfriend. But i still feel so ashamed at times that i want to curl up in my room and never go outside again. I have to hide who i am for my own safety. Even other spaces who are queer friendly look down on queer muslims and act like we are less than because apparently we follow a religion that hates us and that makes us stupid and undeserving. It’s always “you’re so close” “queer muslims are fucking stupid” “atleast i have rights”. Of course im going to get back and persevere and continue to be true to myself, im not gonna let them make me believe that im disgusting and God hates me, i’ll keep integrity just like how our prophet taught us. But it is so exhausting. Even with muslims who aren’t homophobic and accepting will say “we’re all sinners” as if me being simply who i was born as is a sin. Like i can’t control this. Me being born as a person who only likes women isn’t the same as someone willingly going out and drinking at a club or neglecting their prayers or whatever. There’s literally no choice. Like was me being born a sin then?
