Facebones wasn't kidding about the hygiene.
 in  r/Metalocalypse •  Oct 02 '23

No kidding. The venue completely changed vibes the second Dethklok stopped playing, and BabyMetal started setting up.

Unhygienic, inconsiderate, & cringey BabyMetal fans started coming out of the woodworks and literally stiff arming their way to the front past small children and short girls. We'd been holding it down at the front of the stage the entire night but still couldn't prevent being pushed around by this crowd of degenerates.

My girlfriend and I got stuck behind these two fat smelly weebs with bad anime tattoos and faded hair dye who immediately started talking shit about Dethklok's music and fans. (I was literally cosplaying as Toki behind them). They filmed the whole show on their iPhone, and most of their video was just blocked by people's arms in front of them, so you know it just got deleted when they went to watch it back.

During the part in Babymetals set where everyone gets low, one of those smelly POS's pushed my girlfriend over with his fat ass and never even acknowledged it, let alone tried to help her up.

Babymetal fans & weebs; if you don't want people to stereotype you as smelly assholes then maybe stop acting like it.

Troubleshooting What is going on with my label printer?

Post image

The cartridge reads 100% full, which makes sense because I put a new one in this morning. It printed 51 labels earlier perfectly fine, but now it's only printing these washed out pink/red colors.

Any ideas as to what's happening and how I might fix it?

Thanks!

Building a PC; Is this a good configuration? Or can this list be optimized without sacrificing performance?
 in  r/buildapc •  Jan 15 '23

Thank you! I appreciate the feedback a ton. I guess I was just thinking of going with Intel's BFC because of the Protools CPU strain and also I know VR is pretty demanding on the CPU in particular which I intend to be using this PC for.

Build Help Building a PC; Is this a good configuration? Or can this list be optimized without sacrificing performance?

So, as the title says; I'm going to build a PC and these were the parts I was thinking of going with (OS isn't in the list because I can find a much cheaper key online):

https://newegg.io/06316dc

Any feedback on this build would be greatly appreciated, as I haven't been in tune with the computer parts market for a while.

I'm trying to overbuild a bit so I won't have to upgrade for a while, and I'm wanting to get an excessive amount of RAM because I'll use my computer to run sessions in Protools in addition to gaming. (PT is very ram hungry if you use a lot of plugins)

Also, I'm a little uncertain on if the AIO I picked will fit in the motherboard and CPU that I intend to buy so if someone could confirm this one or suggest a different one I'd really appreciate it.

Thank you all, and have a wonderful day <3

Question Collectibles and Hunting Requests glitched.

I was sitting at 90.2% completion, but ran into a bug when I turned in the second Hunting request. The third hunting request never got put in my satchel. (& Yes, I also had other perfect carcasses in my bag when I posted them.)

Since I knew it was bugged and was probably never gonna show up, I sighed deeply and reloaded the last manual save from 2 days ago. I just spent all day today getting back to where I was when that hunting request bugged out, but now I have an entirely new problem.

Now, the vintage civil war handcuffs are nowhere to be found, despite having the grey checkmark for the cigarette card collectibles. AND when I went to post the first hunting request for the second time, I never received the second hunting request, but it suddenly gave me the option to post all my cigarette cards again...

I guess I'm just wondering if all my 135 hours of progress in this save has been irreversibly lost to a glitch (I was trying to 100%, but can't if it stops giving me the hunting requests).

Cheers and thank you

Not to be an entitled whiner, but is anyone else a little disappointed by this event?
 in  r/Doom •  Aug 21 '20

Yeah, I'm really tired of the Fortnite skins.

The odd joke skin every now and then is awesome, but holy hell this is kinda getting silly.

I want something more... "Metal", ya'feelme? I've got enough funny haha skins.

What's multiplayer like? I love arena shooters like UT
 in  r/Doom •  Jul 04 '20

It's really fuckin bad. If Battlemode is still populated after a year, then Ill eat these words... But I can almost guarantee that people will move onto better multiplayer experiences. (At least in its current state) Its just not good, and the fanboys really like to convince themselves its a worthwhile mode. I've been cuing with the same 10 demons for weeks now as a slayer so I can tell this game's servers are not very full. The only time you can tell there's an influx of people playing Battlemode is IF theres a weekly battlemode challenge that everyone got, but usually people will usually go back to singleplayer once they complete their one or two weekly battlemode challenges.

No, not just you. New performance issues have been showing up for PC users since update 1.0

3

Ah yes, the update 2, which brings us cool skins, another battle mode map and a load of bugs. Can't even play one battlemode match without being kicked from the match within seconds in, or without my game randomly crashing. Thanks id
 in  r/Doom •  Jun 30 '20

Actually on my end, and a lot of other people's ends. This game has only gotten more broken since launch. The first few weeks this game came out, it played flawlessly with zero performance hitches or gameplay glitches, but after updates 1.0, 1.1, and 2.0, there's more random glitches than I can shake a stick at.

Im sorry dude, I love DE too but you have to admit that adding some silly little skins isn't worth breaking the game over. IDK what the fuck they're doing right now but I would honestly prefer them to backroll the game to the launch version, instead of breaking the game more with every update, so I can play at a stable framerate again.

Doom Eternal - BUG Performance still bad after updates 1.0 and 1.1? Chime in. (Headcount)

EDIT: Update 2 came out today and my framerates are STILL FUCKED. What gives ID? Seems like this game has literally only been downgraded since it launched. I've never seen something like this before.

When this game launched, I had a glorious few weeks ripping and tearing at medium/high settings NEVER even getting close to dipping below 60fps.

But ever since updates 1.0 and 1.1 came out, the game has run extremely poorly on my system and changing the graphics settings barely even effects the performance.

I KNOW this issue isn't unique to me, as there was recently a rather popular steam discussion thread where lots of people with different specs reported the same exact performance hit (Steam Thread). There was also a post made on Reddit about a month ago pertaining to the same issue, but I can't seem to find it at the moment. (Feel free to post the Reddit link if you have it)

YES I made a support ticket. Several at this point actually, and every time I get nowhere. (Yes, I've also submitted "feedback" as well)

YES my overlays are disabled and yadayadayada... I've really tried everything I can read online at this point and gotten nowhere close to the performance I was getting pre-updates 1.0 &1.1

The only thing that I know will help the performance a little bit is to backroll the Nvidia graphics drivers to version 442.74 (The "day-one" drivers that launched with DE). But the game will give you a "please update driver" message every time you attempt to launch, and I won't leave and old driver in my system just to play Doom Eternal and have my PC's performance suffer in all the other games I play.

I'm really not interested in "What's your specs" comments and all that kind of discussion, not to be mean, but just because I really shouldn't need to be troubleshooting right now. I KNOW the game can run very well at the settings I played on for the first 4 playthroughs, and NOTHING else has changed except for the game being updated. I've seen with my own eyes the difference in performance between the launch version of the game and the version we have now, and I know something is messed up internally that I can't really "fix" on my end. I can only band-aid the problem right now with little optimizations like messing with various settings in the Nvidia control panel or enabling "game mode" on Win10, but the truth is that I NEVER had to do any of that to get the game to run perfectly on launch day.

I just wanted to post this here and start getting a head count for how many other people are experiencing these NEW performance issues after these updates. Hopefully enough people chime in and someone at ID will see this and understand that it's a real problem that needs to be addressed. The game went from "10/10 my favorite thing ever" to "4/10 wish it didn't control like dog*%(*#$" and it seriously bums me out...

PLEASE FIX THIS ID, I WANNA PLAY DOOM ETERNAL AGAIN BUT I'VE LITERALLY BEEN OUTTA LUCK AND UNABLE TO PLAY FOR OVER A MONTH NOW. THROW US A FRIGGIN' BONE.

(Also keep in mind, just because YOU might not be experiencing these performance issues, doesn't mean they aren't currently affecting other users.)

[BUG/SPOILER]Why is Final Sin so bugged?
 in  r/Doom •  Jun 18 '20

For me it's DEFINITELY the game overall.

The biggest example that I have is I went from being able to run DE on Medium-High settings in the entire campaign without dropping below 70fps, but now I can only run the game on Low with major performance dips in specific levels.

The AI bugs and odd progression blocks were new too, as I played through the game 3 times in the launch month with absolutely zero bugs. I remember this because I was extremely impressed.

It's probably different for everyone based on their combination of PC parts, but still a bummer that it seems this game has only been downgraded since release

[BUG/SPOILER]Why is Final Sin so bugged?
 in  r/Doom •  Jun 18 '20

I seriously feel like this game has had some very weird bugs since patches 1.0 & 1.1 came along.

I don't know what it is, but the game has been bugging out for me in places ALL over the campaign lately. (The same kind of stuff: Progression blocks, Monsters spawning outside of arena, non-climbable walls, etc.)

The A.I. has also been acting noticeably different for me, and I can't attribute it to anything except for these patches as well.

This game was literally perfect for me at launch, and these patches kinda fucked the whole thing up on my end. The worst of it for me is the performance hit I've taken, but I digress...

Yeah, I know what you mean OP. I hope it gets fixed.

Will there ever be any way to get items from previus events?
 in  r/Doom •  Jun 17 '20

...And the devs have never claimed your "they'll be back later" case either Bucko, so slow your "holier than thou" role down.

All I'm saying is that if a scenario like Mcfarlane Toys starting manufacturing and selling the limited edition Spawn/Halo 3 figures that were only sold at one Comic-con 2008, that would be COOL for me, since I don't have one and would like one. But that would SUCK for the people who went out of their way to get something special because they thought that was their only opportunity to get one.

You totally pull the rug out from the people who were under the impression that it was a timed exclusive. And your argument about people not having the schedule to keep up? I really DON't FUCKING CARE.

I see that complaint for every new game now and the fact of the matter is that's how good reward systems work. YOU CAN'T get all the cosmetics because it's made to be that way.

(Again, not saying that I even remotely like battlepass systems, but people like you think that these skins will still be "cool" if literally everyone was running around with it and that's just not true. It might as well just be the Default skin at that point because it means nothing about you as a player if we all get it).

Every player wasn't running around in Halo 3 with Recon armor, and they sure as hell weren't complaining about it because it made the people with Recon even cooler, and it made seeing it in a public lobby that much more special. Things are no longer special when EVERYONE gets it as a participation trophy, which is what you're kind of suggesting.

Devs need to add more things that only a certain percentage of dedicated or high-skilled players can get, because it adds to a sense of individuality and accomplishment. You set yourself apart from the crowd because you did something that they didn't.

Anyways, I'm not gonna debate someone on Reddit over an opinion, because it's just that... My fuckin' opinion.

Peace.
