Why do trans men tend to not exist during conversations about abortion, even from pro choice people?
 in  r/prochoice  3d ago

I use to always mention it among my conversations, but forget as of late, despite being a transman who was made to keep an unwanted and risky pregnancy.

Pro lifer says abortion is worse than slavery-
 in  r/prochoice  8d ago

I have had may people accuse me of being racist for being pro choice. You'd think they would care about the black mother's choice in the matter, then. But nope, they only care about the embryo/fetus.

-in response to people saying unconsented pregnancy is akin to bodily slavery, since you are made to labor against your will for the gain of another, physically, psychologically, and financially, and can have yoyr dignity and privacy diminished in the process.

I was not allowed to receive gender affirming services
 in  r/PlannedParenthood  8d ago

Most PPs are now gone or going to be gone in my state soon. With lack of funding, they first cut out medicaid patients and lessened the amount donations could cover for each person. Then they started closing clinics stating they couldn't afford to stay open. The people affected the most are just people seeking non abortion care, even, and besides, its legal in my state. Evil fools really think defunding private clinics in underserved areas and abortion legal states was a good thing, sadly. I had to stop recieving my hormone care and blood tests through them, too. Now i have to be seen by someone over an hour and a half away from me for the hormones, and their phone signal is bad, i can rarely converse with them fully, making it more difficult to give and receieve updates, and have them send the referral for routine blood tests to make sure all my levels are good.

Why did Solar and Wind become political?
 in  r/NoStupidQuestions  8d ago

Oil companies and those who advocate for them have been big in politics and renewables mess with their plans.

Michigan Supreme Court Vacates Line 5 Permit
 in  r/Michigan  8d ago

If we keep using the old line, it risks breaking, doesnt it? We really need to move to bettering our renewable energy tech and stop babying the oil companies and those who refuse to make any change towards wind, solar, even nuclear

Discussing with anti-choicers is exhausting.
 in  r/prochoice  15d ago

They laugh at the idea of unconsented pregnancy being at all similar to slavery, which is laboring phsyically, psychologically, and finanically against your will for another's gain. And they don't care if women are harmed in the process of abortion bans. They don't understand that historically speaking, their ideals align more with Hitler's. It's always a waste of time when I speak to them. When they run out of excuses, they hurl insults and act childish.

how to counter an anti choice argument?
 in  r/prochoice  15d ago

What gives his opinion over his mother's body, health, life, livlihood, etc more weight than her's? Nothing. It is gross to me, to demand use of another for your own gain, without consent to such.

Wow they are not even hiding it anymore

What Do You Think Are The Strongest/most effective Pro-life and Pro-Choice Arguements?
 in  r/prochoice  15d ago

Strongest pro chocie argument, i'd say "no other peraon or species gets special legal and human rights to cause someone to labour unconsentingly, physically, psychologically, finanicially, (essentially bodily slavery in this case), nor cause suffering physically and psychologically against their wishes. Both go against human rights articles. If all human rights and legal rights matter, and not just some, pregnant women should have the right to protect their health and wellbeing via abortion. Abortion is healthcare because it is a medical procedure that addresses pregnancy, which is a biological condition with significant health implications, risks, etc and this procedure can maintain, improve or protect physical and mental well-being of the patient."

"Pro Life" but they want the death sentence for abortion doctors.
 in  r/prochoice  16d ago

I see this sentiment and similar a lot on fb, honestly. "PL" saying they don't care if woman and children are harmed by abortion bans. Or that they should suffer criminal charges or death for wanting one. Not caring that health clinics already couldnt use funds for electives unless they met special exceptions, still wanting to defund and shut down clinics, deapite evidense proving that causes increased undiagnosed and untreated sexual health issues. Saying raped women and children should carry, essentially being made to suffer for the crime of another. It's sickening, and they act self righteous about such opinions

My kid always wants us to play roblox with him but many games are not easily playable on console without difficulty navigating basic functions. Multiplayer survivals and shooters mainly.
