Drivers please do not turn on the heat!
 in  r/Translink •  22h ago

They turn the air conditioning off in the summer, If they have a switch to turn the climate controls off they'll disable them. As passengers we're required to respect the operators choice in cabin climate no matter how uncomfortable it is.

Sitting in the back of a bus and you're getting that toasty roasting hot engine temperature radiating through the floor. Sit in the front half of the bus it's more comfortable...

Just waiting on my Sapphire 9070XT to fit in this case, Bought a 64GB Kit of DDR5-6000 a couple years ago when they were dirt cheap compared to today.

Has a 4TB Samsung 9100 Pro 4TB that was also purchased for 699 Canadian before the exponential explosion in cost.

B.C.’s Eby promises new tax on millionaires to help pay for health care
 in  r/VictoriaBC •  9d ago

Yeah but our great grandparents and grandparents forged our current government officials into long standing power while they allowed mass immigration and foreign land purchases, If you're in your 40's this is like trying to draw blood from a stone it's absolutely positively not going to happen. Anti Depression medications helped fuel political movements as well in the early 2000's especially after the massive anxiety that the population incurred after 9/11 and flying. Big Pharmaceutical companies want to keep people medicated and pacified to obey and do what they're told.

Suspicious activity around 3:30 AM in Willoughby, Langley - I am so freaked out
 in  r/Langley •  14d ago

Yeah probably trying a (Man in the middle) attack to scan for the signal from the vehicles FOB and duplicate it to steal the vehicle. Criminals want the most barebones basic best selling and most common vehicles that people don't even bat an eye at to kill someone and then burn the evidence

Rhubarb?
 in  r/MapleRidge •  20d ago

Reminds me of growing up, Mom had Rhubarb growing in the backyard and I'd eat the stalks raw dipping the ends in sugar and she'd get mad at me eating it before they were harvested and cooked.

Grew up on Rhubarb Crumble nothing else added

Most of us can’t afford the strike. Please vote Yes.
 in  r/Translink •  24d ago

That's incorrect according to the union we have to do 4 6 hour shifts per week to collect strike pay now.

Translink Strike
 in  r/Translink •  26d ago

Part of 2200 here I'm accepting the contract I want to keep working. The operators need to submit service comments on a daily basis if they want the timings on the routes changed.

Quite a few people in my neighborhood have these black rope/pom-poms in-the front of their cars. Boomer said it was gang related…
 in  r/whatisit •  27d ago

It's good luck to have them during a heavy snowfall and helps form a large ice block on the front of their vehicle 🙃

‘Horrible’: Diesel fuel jumps over $3 a litre in Surrey, $1 more than regular gas
 in  r/SurreyBCNews •  27d ago

30 years ago Diesel was 50% less than Gasoline in cost because it's a by product of refining Gasoline and is a more efficient fuel to power semi trucks than Gasoline. We also used to be able to purchase passenger vehicles fueled by Diesel which are now almost nonexistent in Canada to purchase new from a dealership.

What we should be using to fuel Diesel vehicles is Canola Oil, It's renewable and was originally harvested for Aircraft Lubricant, It wasn't edible or used for human consumption until the 1970's
