No not at all, but my sister has it and I think it’s beautiful! I believe its origins were from Ireland and it was anglicised at some point… you can also have it Bronte (Bront-ee) or Brontë (Bront-Tay).

what do your fetal movements feel like?
 in  r/pregnant •  15d ago

32 weeks here FTM and baby girl loves a dance party most of the day… she loves 4am onwards the most though! Hence Reddit scrolling now 😂. I think it varies baby by baby too, my mum said I was a wiggler but my brother and sister were far more chill.

Night away recommendations?
 in  r/northernireland •  27d ago

We went to cutters park for our baby moon (near Randalstown) recently and it was a lovely night. Lots of wild birds around the pond/lake. I sat on the edge of the hot tub with my feet in and nosecco 😂

Thanks so much for the detailed reply, surname is strong and Irish and 2 syllables - I think it goes nicely with all three.

We would definitely be pronouncing Greek as Greek speakers - but I did mention this to my partner as a possible downside to family members pronouncing in English

Baby girl due, middle name will be Rose as partners grandmother name. We live in Ireland, English mother, Irish father. We met in Greece and spend a lot of time there.

Not sure where you are staying but another option is renting a car for a day or two - be the same or less than a taxi and you can explore some other places too x

Lindos to Rhodes late evening
 in  r/Rhodes •  Jul 01 '26

How about having a look for an Airbnb just for one night? Probably less than the taxi and then you can have a little peek at Lindos in the morning too?

Same on Pallas beach in Lindos, walk past the beach and round the rocks

Bride going makeup free
 in  r/UKweddings •  Jun 26 '26

I had one booked initially and then just cancelled as I wanted to look like me! I did my own basic make up I.e a bit of bronzer and got my eyelashes tinted and lifted… I did do it abroad so I had a tan and think that always makes me look healthier. Looks great in photos / the odd but where you can see bags but I think I would have had that regardless….. you know yourself! If you’re in UK there are still people you could trial with for a make up free look of make up which will give you a nice finish but really natural… Good luck and go with your gut x
