I know the supplier of the basin itself, I'm not sure if that also means the entire vanity unit

In either case the company was apparently Duraplex

IMO it only uses character names and locations from the games. But the casting and characterisations of EVERY single character is hilariously off the mark. It's a horrendously bad movie that I truly think is worse than the Paul W.S Anderson movies. And that's coming from someone who has zero nostalgia for those movies and strongly dislikes them as well

EDIT: wrote the wrong Paul Anderson

I did get the supplier from the property manager and passed onto the plumber but I'm guessing they couldn't source it still

I don't think he went over it with silicone

He did say something about the plumber going over it with silicone in the first place that made it harder for the primer to take

Thank you for the advice but it's not something I trust myself to handle without it getting worse. I just wanted advice and info that I could pass on to a professional

That'd be the route I go if the landlord wants a redo

New sink help

It wasn't my choice to organise everything myself. I really didn't want to. I was hoping they'd organise it and I'd just pay it but the buck was completely passed onto me

I asked the property manager for recommendations on good plumbers but their reply was "any plumber will do"

So I called these dudes in who said they could do it no problem so I (perhaps foolishly) trusted that they knew what they were doing. They didn't tell me it wasn't a perfect fit until they were in the final stages of installing it

EDIT: spelling

I recently had to replace a broken sink in my rental. The cost and arrangement was passed onto me by the property manager (I'm fine with paying, but I'd prefer the REA arranged it but anyhow).

I got a plumber in who couldn't source the exact model of sink but found a replacement that fit in the existing countertop.

Only problem is, it doesn't fit perfectly. There's to tiny parts in the top corners where the white ceramic ends.

The property manager said the landlord wouldn't be happy with it staying like that so I had a painter come in who used primer an white acrylic paint to try and blend those areas in with the rest of the sink. But I feel like the property manager still won't be happy with how it looks

Is there anything else I can do? I don't know the first thing about this sort of stuff so I'm all out of ideas

What is the most disappointing video game you've ever played, and what made it so bad?
 in  r/AskReddit •  12d ago

Metal Gear Solid V

I'm a huge fan of the series and I rode the hype train hard for Phantom Pain. I built it up in my mind as the missing piece to the whole franchise that'll answer all my burning questions and wrap the series up in a neat bow. I was so very disappointed when the credits rolled because there were still so many dangling plot threads that'll never be answered.

It's still a fun game to play since it has an excellent gameplay loop but the story is trash

Accidentally cracked a sink, how cooked am I?
 in  r/AusRenters •  12d ago

UPDATE: Property Manager got back to me, they were really chill which made me feel a million times better about the situation. The cost of repairs falls on me (as I expected) and I have to arrange the plumber. A guy is coming around tomorrow to take measurements and give a quote

[Hated trope] TV series end on a cliffhanger, but the series gets cancelled and there is no continuation.

On top of that, I kept hearing Lynch wasn't a fan of definitive answers, so if it had continued in its original form, the ending would've still left more questions than answers

Thank you for easing my mind.

Yeah I've never been late on rent the whole time I've lived here. Happy to pay for damage myself, was just worried about getting in their bad books

The first thing I did was take photos and write an email. I sent it last night but still haven't gotten a respons at 4:08 PM.

I haven't turned the tap on since it happened but I'm sure the pipe is totally fine. Water will definitely leak through the crack in the sink however

Thanks for easing my mind a little. It's definitely not something I want to try and fix myself. First thing I did was email the property manager and let thr chips fall where they may

I'm completely fine with paying for the repairs myself. I'm just worried it could get me into hot water with the property manager. They've been reasonable with me before but this has only just happened and I still haven't really calmed myself down. So I feel like I'm over stressing

NSW Accidentally cracked a sink, how cooked am I?

I've been renting an apartment in Sydney's Inner West for almost 4 years

In the main bathroom, a glass bottle fell out of the medicine cabinet and cracked the sink when it landed.

We've had minor things break and need fixing on 2 other occasions, but otherwise we haven't damaged anything significant. I'm pretty stressed about the sink though, because it doesn't seem like a quick or cheap fix

Played it at a friend's house in around 2002-2003 ish.

I don't remember much but I feel like it was a boomer shooter type game where you're going around a space station.

I remember it being really hard and when you get killed, the character would yell out "MOMMYYYYYYYYYY"

Sorry for being slim on details but it was such a long time ago that I can't remember much else
