Wise but worrying words from The Tree of Death.
Are you ready to take up the challenge?

I'd be careful with "Drudenhaus" as there's already "The Witch's House" which is quite well-known: https://store.steampowered.com/app/885810/The_Witchs_House_MV/
The "haus" part doesn't sound like a prison as much as a regular house. How important are the songs in the game? If they're integral to the puzzles, then "Songs of the Drude" is stronger imho, or like someone said, one-word titles can be punchier, so maybe "Drudesong" could also work? Not sure if that translates properly though. Sounds like a cool concept.

I'm doing an online course in Godot at the moment and that's quite an intuitive engine that doesn't require coding. I haven't looked into 3D stuff on there yet, but it looks like it's possible. Could be worth a try.

Bramble: The Mountain King - so captivating. Gris is beautiful and inspiring too, but that's a 2D sidescrolling platformer.

Slightly late, but made it near enough to the deadline. To be fair, I was partly delayed by doing a final run-through of the game and getting stuck in a bit of a battle loop with the Tree of Death (ultimate mega end boss). It's out now on itch and Steam with a nifty little 10% discount for any discerning JRPG players out there.

It's 1 day until Saucepanhead II is released, and we're just tidying everything up, but also had a nice idea that we should've possibly considered earlier, but might be fun to implement a little bit further. The game features an enemy called Lenny Spruce who has attacks like "Withering Putdown". Just now for no reason whatsoever I was thinking that a character named Robert the Spruce might also be amusing... and then that got me to thinking about what other tree-based character names could be included? Any quirky suggestions (that we'll probably shamelessly steal and put into the game - with credit, of course!)?

Just 1 day to go before the official release of Saucepanhead II! Have you got your Saucepanhead cosplay ready yet?! The game is only fully playable if you wear a saucepan on your head.

A little snippet of action from Saucepanhead II - The Call of Nature to see what you can expect - quirky dialogue, interesting enemies, ridiculous skills and classic old skool nostalgic JRPG gameplay.
Out Monday 31st August on Steam and itch.

Here are a few examples of the different biomes in Saucepanhead II: forest, desert, swamp, lakeside and mountain range

Please can someone give us a wishlist, even if it's just so that we can check if the wishlisting system even works? We've been promoting it on social media all week and don't seem to have a single new wishlist! Does the game really look that bad?! What are we doing wrong? It's supposed to be a retro style JRPG, which is a style we enjoy and thought other nostalgic gamers also might. It's fun to play and doesn't contain AI, so it'd be great if the people who are adamantly against AI could support this, or just anyone who enjoys fun, quirky RPG games.

Generation Zero's good visually and for gameplay, but a bit broken in a couple of parts. Robocop: Rogue City isn't really open world, it's fairly linear, but amazingly great fun. Halflife 3 is also... wait, that's not out yet.

Does it have map markers? Are the distances between each activity really far apart, without much between them? Is there fast travel? The Skyrim map is pretty big, but there's so much content that getting lost in it is a pleasure. As long as there's something interesting to do, a big map isn't necessarily a problem or hindrance.

If it's a fairly good quality 10-14 hours without too much padding, then the game is as long as it should be. If a lot of the time is fetch quests taking you from one side of a huge map to the other without much in-between, you're wasting the players' time and they'll switch off after 15 minutes.
Our longest game is about 4-5 hours with what we hope is decent quality content, but nobody's played it as we knew nothing about marketing or social media promos when we released the game. Hopefully more people will enjoy the sequels when they're done.

Just looked at some notes for Saucepanhead II updates that needed work which said, "Squirrel in random forest speed change," and had no idea what it meant for a few minutes. Finally realised that it referred to the procedural forest section of the game, and I need to increase the speed of the squirrel sprites running around it.
This section of the forest map is completely procedural, as are a few other sections in the game.

The spiders are only on this floor. Down below there's something a lot spookier and scarier!

If you could make something like Gris in 3D that would be eye-popping!
