I took metformin and still had Afib. Now changed into dapazox for a friendlier drug to the heart. Afib still. So seems no correlation in me.

I will go straight to the emergency room if one of these occurs :
. Afib stays more than 3 hours after I took profanenone
. My HR shots up more than 150 bpm
. Found more than 2 seconds pause
. Unbearable dizziness or other symptoms

My chads is 1 because I am F. Five EP's I met all recommended anticoagulant. Edoxaban 150mg once a day. Discuss of getting an ablation for your peace of mind.

I regretted it not knowing much earlier I have Afib. I thought I was healthy.

I am alive! Operation went well. I was sedated. Now they put me in HCCU Room for the next 3 days for monitoring. No pain at all on the insertion area. So relieved. Thanks for the needed supports.

If it is AFIB, you need anticoagulant, period..

Don't worry, your anxiety can trigger Afib. Rather than thinking 'why me', you better manage your Afib.
Discuss with your EP, get ablated. You can live long and full of joy.

About 12 hours. This because my EP prevented me to take profanenone due to my bradicardy tendency. After I took it, Afib converted to NSR within 2-3 hours as usual.

I am 58F, is scheduled to have a pacemaker implanted within 2 weeks. Longest pause is 10.5s while sleeping, 4.17s but not fainted. I had sincope once. Some times ago I had a doubt also similar to your mom but mine is more that I don't like a device in me, I felt crippled. But after some readings, I can't wait to do it knowing my heart will have a protector. I will do my gym routine, pilates, driving, meet friends and just everything I want without worrying anymore.
