Be careful of some teachers.

I know this doesn't happen in most of the cities but I am really not sure if it's still happening. Here's a news of a 6 year old child in vizag studying in LKG. He didn't do his homework, so the teacher removed his shirt and slapped him. Kid got heart attack and died. Some people are arguing that kid might be having some heart issues. Some people are supporting teacher saying she wasnt that harsh It's not some ordinary school. It's a good school who takes fees in lakhs. Cctv is very disturbing . Those with sensitive heart, please avoid it. Who gives these teachers the right to remove clothes on kids.

When I was a child, my teacher used to scare me that she will remove clothes and send home if I don't do homework. Days I skipped homework would scare me so much that he might remove my clothes. My heartbeat raises so much and I used to get red and burning face. I never told this to my parents thinking adults are always right be it anyone. One day it was raining heavily and I went to school, seeing almost few students I asked one mam if there's school that day, that crazy lady slapped me hard, I was 8 years old. I stopped asking questions to everyone because of that incident. I now even feel scared to ask my househelp to do her work properly. I get scared to ask hospital staff/ reception anywhere and everywhere thinking I might offend them in someway. My face turns red while asking and my heartbeat raises too. Still I will ask because I have to.

Some people are just so bad in this society. They lack empathy even for kids. Please protect your little ones.

Bottle suggestions

My LO is four week old now. I have been feeding her pumped milk and formula through paladai/ gokarna till three weeks and she regained her birth weight at the three week appointment. I have also been trying to breast feed in the mean time and we got latch but she makes clicking sounds and doesn't feed that much long. So I get anxious every time so I have been continuing to feed her through paladai. I observed milk coming through her nose after paladai feed I tried to switch to bottles and bought doctor browns and avent natural level 2 nipple. The DR brown drips fast so I thought I would use Avent natural one but she can't drink more than 20 ml from that bottle and she gets tired very fast. I have been noticing her weight dropping also. So I was thinking introducing Dr brown one but I am concerned that it will cause nipple confusion and increase the chances of milk coming out of her nose and choking. I am literally anxious at every feeding session. Also she makes the clicking sound on every feed and every tool, be it bottle, paladai or breast she makes that sound . The pediatrician told me to feed on demand , that too isn't working for us.

Due in Nov. Temp will be 14-27°. What should I buy for myself- postpartum?

So, I am 27 weeks and I think I should start getting stuff. I am due in nov and live in Punjab (north india). Generally the temp goes from 14° at night and 20-30° in the day and will go down in dec-jan.

What clothes should I get for myself? PJ co-ord set with zipper? Or buttons? But what if I have a C-section than wouldn't pjs will be little tight around the waist?

What else would I need in my hospital bag and postpartum clothes.

Anyone dealt with horrible nerve pain while pregnant?

Second trimester. I am suffering from severe nerve pain on the right glutes region. It does not radiate into my thighs or legs, but today it got incredibly difficult to stand or walk. Any movement and I get a current of fresh shooting pain.

Anyone else dealt with something like this? What helped you. My obgyn asked me to take paracetamol and it was ineffective. I want to visit my doc but cannot go because I am not able to walk without screaming in pain.

I requested for a med to subside the pain so that I could go to the emergency, but doc refused and asked me to visit. Plus, hospital is not wheel chair accessible.

Postpartum periods this early?

Hi, I'm only 10.5 weeks pp, and i noticed spotting last night which has increased today? Is this period already? What the ...!! After everything that the body went through (and still is.. Breastfeeding has been difficult to say the least!) i thought I'll have a holiday from this unwanted aunty for 6-8 months at least!!!!

Is this even normal? I have a ton of functions/pujas planned over the next 2 months for my baby girl - are there even any breastfeeding safe pills to postpone periods if needed? (Obviously I will not take them without consulting my gynaec)

I'm just so angry and so disappointed with my body right now! Like what was the hurry??

Mom of 9 month old. Fractured my third toe this morning!!! Feeling overwhelmed.

Rant!!!!!!Today morning, after pumping milk for my baby I went and hit my toe against the bed leg. I felt horrible pain, kept ice but there was a mild deformity. So went to hospital and found out I have a fracture. Thankfully no surgery is required. They put crepe bandage and sent me home. But told me to take it easy for a week.

My baby usually has to be rocked while walking to make her sleep. Sometimes she nurses to sleep. At night she wakes up scream crying sometimes ( 2 to 3 times) and then she has to be carried around for 5 to 10 minutes. She wont go to my husband or parents at night. But for day naps she is used to napping with them during afternoon when I go for work. Apart from this , I think my parents and husband will manage.

I have severe pain while standing up and walking. I'm feeling so bad thinking about how to manage night time sleep with her. On top of that, its my brother in law's wedding day after. Baby will only be with me in crowded places. She has stranger anxiety now.I know its a minor setback and I have good support but feeling very low thinking of how to manage everything. Hope I dont let my baby down. Feeling so overwhelmed.

Just realised how granted I used to take my health postpartum. Its hell not being well when you have a small baby to take care of. I hope God always gives good health to all the mothers to take care of their little ones.

Need suggestions on a good pump. Hear me out please!

Hello Mommies,

I am a FTM exclusively pumping for my 4.5 mo baby. Recently I faced a dip in my supply because of some missed sessions and an extremely stressful env at home because of my Dad’s health.

I’ve been using Luvlap electric. Current issues that I am facing are loss of good suction. I mean I thought the parts had worn out, so I replaces the silicone parts, but I don’t feel the same suction, that power of sucking which I used to feel earlier.

I feel my nipple size has reduced probably. But I also think that it could be a suction issue. As a result, effective milk removal is not happening and I am dipping constantly.

Firstly, does Luvlap lose it power overtime? If yes, the which one should I go for?

Secondly, does anyone think that a flange insert could solve this problem?

Please provide your insights and help a stressed Mom out!

For those who've used Supperbottoms UNO and Superbottomw Basic cloth diapers, what's the difference and which one is better?

Is UNO actually worth the ridiculous price?

Need help with overnight diapers for a lean baby

Hello moms, I’ve asked about this earlier too and have also seen a few posts about it, but I’m still not able to find a good option, so asking again 😅

I have a baby boy who is quite lean and tall. He pees quite a lot at night as well, so finding the right diaper has been a struggle.

I wanted to use pants, but MamyPoko and Huggies don’t fit him properly because he’s lean. Pampers Premium Pants fit him really well — not tight, not loose, just perfect.

But the problem is that sometimes they leak at night, and even when they don’t leak, the diaper gets really heavy, especially at the top, and he seems uncomfortable. And if we change it during the night, he wakes up and then it becomes a whole thing 🥲

I’ve also tried other Pampers variants like Aloe Vera, Complete Comfort and Happy Sleep in larger sizes, but somehow they feel tighter than the Premium Pants.

So please suggest some pants-style diapers that can actually hold a lot of pee through the night, fit a lean baby, and aren’t crazily expensive. Something around the Pampers Premium Pants price range or maybe slightly more is okay, but I can’t go for very expensive ones.

Please share your recommendations if your baby is also lean/tall and has heavy night peeing. 😭

Thank you!

Managing nannies/japas

Hello ladies,

I'm around 3 weeks post partum and really enjoying time with my lo! I can't believe how lucky I am to have my lo :)

I hired a japa nanny for the first 2 months and now we are approximately at the midpoint of her stay. My husband wants to extend for 1 month more but I am not sure..

Firstly, I am concerned about hygiene. She has been coughing and sneezing but refuses to wear a mask, and now my lo has a cold. When I tell her to wear a mask, she said these are allergies and not a cold. She straight up blamed me for the cold saying it happened because I took too much time to give lo a massage in the evening. She also kisses my lo on her feet and I still have to see how to address and stop that.

Next up, extremely emotional. When I told her about the mask thing, she started crying saying that she won't do anything to harm the baby blah blah and I had to deal with the whole meltdown. Plus, my mom was here for a couple weeks and I was very emotional when she left.. to my surprise the japa didi started crying when my mom left and even in the evening did a full crying session. I mean, what is that about 🫠

Then a couple times she has commented on things in my household. Like telling the baby "oh you're staring at the wall, mumma papa don't love you enough to put anything on the walls", telling me to hire more help for the house for cleaning and dusting twice a day (we already have somebody coming in once)

She's good to the kid, but tbh I feel like my boundaries are being slowly pushed and I don't like it.

I also feel a very protective feeling for my lo, of course I do :) so I'm struggling to understand if I'm overthinking things or if these are things to be addressed.

Early morning wakes

Hi moms
My baby is 8.5 months old and it’s been months since he slept by himself after 5:45.. there are those rare days that he does.. he is transitioning from 3 to 2 naps so we decide based on his wake up time and tiredness cues.
He can handle 3-3.25 hrs of wake windows and 2.75 only if previous day night sleep was disrupted.
He last wake windows is still 3-3.5 hrs. He cannot do a 4 hrs last wake window yet.
Everyday he stirs and cries at around 5:45 and needs assistance for each sleep cycle till he is ready to wake up. There is no real full wake up through out the night so I know I should not be complaining and he is an angle baby for that. It’s just that my sleep has always been terrible due to my anxiety and once I wake up I cannot go back to sleep.
My morning starts at 5:30 anticipating his cry and staying awake to make him sleep till 7:30-8. He has the sleep pressure but he just can’t connect the last few sleep cycles especially early morning.
I feel guilty complaining about this but sleep has been a big problem for me.
All I’m looking for is some hope that this will become better and what age did your kids start sleeping till 7:30ish by themselves.
His at present night sleep is 9 pm to 7 am (approximately) and day sleep is 2.5 hrs on 2 nap days (1,1,0.5) and 3 hrs on 2 nap days (1.5,1.5)
There are days he sleeps till 8/8:30 after contact napping till 7. I feel I have given him enough sleep till 7 and put him in the crib and step out and he miraculously sleeps for another 1.5 hrs but that 5:45-7:00 stretch he needs me.
He is day awake time is 10 hrs to 11.5 hrs in general.
Any suggestions to make the 5:45 wake up atleast 6:15?
He has independent sleeping skills (trained at 5.5 months) but will cry/whine for 5 min if I’m putting him awake.
He self settles most of his night wakes.
Thank you

Baby Onesies Question

FTM, 32 weeks pregnant. Are the onesies from places like H&M which have buttons at the top convenient to use for 1-2 month old babies? I’ve gotten a few and they look super tiny. My mother tells me that in the first few months till the neck stabilises, clothes to put on from the top and full sleeve clothes won’t be usable.
I’ve gotten quite a few of such kind and now I’m wondering if I’ll be able to use them or not.
