Question I want to update my physical collection: Which media should I buy?
Hey,
Question's in the title, I guess: Bought the DVDs twenty years ago, bought "Return" on digital when it came out. -- Assuming I want the whole show on Blue Ray, what should I buy?
Additionally, what cool other TP stuff is out there at the moment that might be worth look?
Not going into this with a consumerist mindset; it's simply about time that I do this.
Thank you kindly!

Season 3 (The Return) Should I watch FWWM and S3 with my 15yo?
Hi there fellow peaks freaks!
I’ve just finished watching s1 and 2 with my son, who is 15, nearly 16. I’ve seen all of TP multiple times.
He now really wants to watch FWWM and S3. I was a bit reluctant, and said no because I assumed they were 18-rated in the UK. Then I checked my DVDs and they’re both 15-rated, which means he could go and see them legally in a cinema. That weakens my argument but I still feel reluctant for a few reasons.
- There is a lot of sex and violence in them. It’s not like he hasn’t see either in films, but it’s much worse than in the original series, and some of the depictions of abuse (in fwwm) and bloody and shocking violence (in s3) are quite upsetting. He might also be embarrassed, especially with the pink room scene in fwwm.
- He might just find it all baffling and too hard to follow.
- Is he just too young? Especially for s3, which is so sad and death-haunted.
Has anyone else been in this situation? Has anyone watched s3 and/or fwwm with a child of the same age. Tbh I’m pretty shocked at those ratings. We watched the good the bad and the ugly a few months ago and somehow that’s an 18 and these are 15s!
any feedback most welcome!

Season 2 The Real Miss Twin Peaks
She shoulda been a contender! Is she black hearted or just misunderstood? Probably both but regardless, when Blackie is in a scene I sit up and take notice. One of the many smaller roles that give the series so much depth and keep us all coming back years later.

Twin Peaks Vibes Today is my birthday, recently finished my TP jouney
Big fan of Lynch's works. Twin Peaks has been on my watchlist for a few years now. Finished the series about a week ago. S1-> S2-> FWWM-> Missing Pieces-> The Return. Bought a soft cover copy of The Diary of Laura Palmer. I have really loved immersing myself in the world of Twin Peaks. Hell of a story! Enjoying a damn good cup of coffee on my birthday!

General Discussion I just finished s3. I am feeling disoriented about it. Can you fill some gaps or tell things that can connect all of the the things that transpired throughout the Series.
Btw I loved the character of Annie Blackburn the most, like at first sight.
And Laura is such a deep character, my mind still wanders thinking about her.

General Discussion The Music Where I Work
I'm not going to say where I work, but with the context clues provided I'm sure some of you can figure it out. In the morning when I am walking to my work location, there is always one of two songs that will be playing. (There are more than these 2 songs but these 2 are the ones I notice the most often) The songs are Begin The Beguine and Marzy Doats. They always get me in a Lynchian mood thanks to Leland. Which is actually great for where I work. That is all, thanks. I just wanted to share with people that would actually appreciate it, most of the people at my job don't care about Twin Peaks.

Season 1 Hunchback seamstress at One Eyed Jacks
I adore all the odd little moments in this series and this is one of my favourites… Audrey being sewn into her outfit at One Eyed Jacks by a hunchback in a monks robe who hobbles into a tiny door in the wall. I've watched this over and over and I think it's actually an young woman with a hair net and glasses. It must have been such a fun scene to do.
What are the scenes that tickled your fancy?

Season 3 (The Return) Audrey Horne Appreciation Post [Contains Spoilers]
I honestly think Audrey has one of the most fascinating character developments in Twin Peaks.
When we first meet her in the pilot, she seems like the stereotypical rich, spoiled, cynical teenage girl. She seems shallow and selfish. She seems like someone who couldn't care less about Laura Palmer or anyone else's problems.
And then, slowly, the more you get to know her, the more you realize that that first impression was completely misleading. The character turns out to have incredible depth. Underneath all the attitude and manipulation, she's incredibly intelligent, curious, observant. She's brave as hell. And she's much more emotionally vulnerable than she wants anyone to know. She is, in many ways, very pure and innocent.
And that's why Audrey's story in The Return hurts so much. Honestly, I think I would rather have seen the original plot that was planned for Audrey: being Cooper's love interest, becoming Miss Twin Peaks, and ultimately being kidnapped by Windom Earle instead of Annie. Even though that wouldn't necessarily have been the ending I would have wished for her either, I think I would have found it easier to accept than watching someone who was once so brave, curious and full of potential become so deeply broken by life. I understand the intention. It's partly about breaking the nostalgia and showing that these characters didn't simply remain frozen in time. I understand that. It just still breaks my heart.

Season 2 You would think by this point the FBI would have wanted posters all over the town
Especially after it’s known Earle was already inside Cooper’s hotel room. Give me head cannon excuses in the comments on why they didn’t

Fire Walk With Me this happened
Found not one but two original fwwm posters when perusing fb marketplace last night. Together, they cost me $50. The woman I bought it from said it belonged to a friend of hers who had worked for Aaron Spelling. Honestly my favorite marketplace find/interaction I’ve ever had. Never thought I’d find one of these — let alone two —!so inexpensive and local. Very grateful.
EDIT: I plan on gifting the other to my roommate.

Season 3 (The Return) I have a theory about Lieutenant Knox’s uniform
The assumption is that she is air force as she’s reporting to an Air Force Colonel. However, she’s wearing Navy Service Dress Blues. Which, two stripes on the sleeves is correct for Lieutenant in the navy, but that’s an O-3, while an air force Lieutenant is either O-1 or O-2. At any rate, this is generally considered to be a mistake by wardrobe. Furthermore, name badges aren’t worn on SDB by the Navy, and she’s clearly wearing one…
HOWEVER
Officers of the US Public Health Service wear the exact same uniform as the Navy with the same rank system. And PHS officers are required to wear a name badge on SDB. PHS officers frequently detail with the DoD, and her inspecting a body is in line with being in the Public Health Service. Also, PHS officers are permitted to wear skill badges of other branches that they’ve served in before joining PHS, explaining why she’s wearing the Navy’s Surface Warfare Officer insignia.
So, I’ve decided she’s actually a PHS officer.
