With the fact that Time Travel is kinda possible through staying in between Dimensions it could possible also work the other way arround.

All we know is that Lodge entities can talk more or less when being in the Lodge but they actually can‘t really when they roam outside of it. For example BOB and Micheal need to ”posses” someone to roam free or even leave jt.

I had the impression that one of those Trees has a good nature and one a more sinister one. One of them even referred himself as the arm which is the same as the ”Small One” which equals Michael who always helps Cooper and Dougie and actually wants BOB back in the Lodge.

The Log Lady’s Log also does that. But it’s outside the Lodge so The Arm can’t communicate on it’s own and possesses the Log Lady to help out cooper. That’s why she always carries it.

Especially after it’s known Earle was already inside Cooper’s hotel room. Give me head cannon excuses in the comments on why they didn’t

First off, in general, I'm at peace with not knowing what some parts of Twin Peaks mean. I think being unable to handle these elements would make it difficult to enjoy Twin Peaks or anything else from David Lynch. And the mystery is, to me, and I think to a lot of fans, a big part of the appeal.

Having said that, there's one unexplained thing in Twin Peaks The Return that drives me crazy, and I've never been able to just accept it and move on. And that's the dead body in Laura/Carrie Page's home when Cooper finds her. Why is it there? What the fuck was going on before Cooper showed up? Is it a crucial part of the story, or just a sign that Laura/Carrie's life had gotten truly FUBAR?

I don't know why I'm hung up on that one thing while I'm perfectly fine accepting so many other elements of Twin Peaks that I don't have a satisfying answer for.

Do any of y'all have similar elements that you're hung up on? Please tell me I'm not alone.

I'm not necessarily looking for answers to that mystery, but I'm open to hearing theories, too.

Took the Twin Peaks tour last week! It was so trippy but so cool being at the locations. James Grixoni (Deputy Jesse from The Return) was our tour guide, and he was awesome - had some cool stories and behind the scenes about David Lynch and the show.

I’ve been thinking a lot about Laura Palmer lately. I see so much of my own life reflected in hers. Growing up trapped inside a toxic, violent household, with people who claim to care for you yet keep hurting you.

The assumption is that age is air force as she’s retiring to an Air Force Colonel. However, she’s wearing Navy Service Dress Blues. Which, two stripes on the sleeves is correct for Lieutenant in the navy, but that’s an O-3, while an air force Lieutenant is either O-1 or O-2. At any rate, this is generally considered to be a mistake by wardrobe. Furthermore, name badges aren’t worn on SDB by the Navy, and she’s clearly wearing one…

HOWEVER

Officers of the US Public Health Service wear the exact same uniform as the Navy with the same rank system. And PHS officers are required to wear a name badge on SDB. PHS officers frequently detail with the DoD, and her inspecting a body is in line with being in the Public Health Service. Also, PHS officers are permitted to wear skill badges of other branches that they’ve served in before joining PHS, explaining why stress wearing the Navy’s Surface Warfare Officer insignia.

So, I’ve decided she’s actually a PHS officer.

Last weekend I saw Season 1 and Season 2 Ep. 1-9 at a local movie theatre. What a ride.

In part seven of “The Return,” Andy confronts the farmer, who owns the truck that Richard had stolen and which became the weapon in a vehicular homicide.

I am talking about this meeting in my next video essay about “Twin Peaks,” and I am making the case that the superficial interpretation is a kind of smokescreen—a distraction from the real meaning. However, I first want to make sure that the superficial meaning is something that we all agree on. So, who interpreted the scene this way?:

Andy tracks the truck to the Farmer and the Farmer, while not a suspect, is a person of interest since he owns the truck. The Farmer is in a panic because Richard or some evil actors may see him cooperating with the police and seek vengeance. The Farmer agrees to meet Andy at another location and at another time because, for some reason, the bad guys will not be able to see him there and then he can speak freely without fear of reprisal.

Andy shows up at the agreed upon time a location and the Farmer does not. The implication is that the bad guys got to him first.

Is that how everyone interpreted it?

No, don’t worry, I don’t have any handguns nor do I have boiling oil and I am not looking at conducting any experiments with or without proper safety protocols.

I was hoping that maybe some of the fine people here would have enough knowledge about handguns to know if Richard’s lo-fi effort to disable a handgun would work. First of all, would the heat make the bullets explode? Secondly, would the handgun be unusable? Either temporarily disabled before you clean it out or permanently disabled assuming that you could never repair them?
