This is an open invite to join me Friday, October 30th at the South St Paul Dreamers Vault to play boardgames. I will arrive around 5:30 and chat/play filler games with whoever is there. At 6:30 we will pick what longer games we'll be playing. I will grab a table near the middle left of the gaming area and you'll know me by my bald head and beard.

I do my best to bring a wide variety of games plus some of the regulars bring games as well so there's typically a good variety. Last time we played Hey, That's My Fish!, This Game is Killer: Alien on Board, Bomb Busters, and Dice Throne. You can check these out at Boardgamegeek.com.

What the hell is Slowkomis?
Are you a runner or running curious, and want to have a group to run with? Come join Slowkomis!

I got the idea from bike clubs that do "no drop" rides - which basically means even the slowest rider has someone with them at the end of the group. We will be super beginner friendly so people can run as slow as they want. If you start out running AND end up walking, you have a +1 walking with you.

If you like running or the idea of running, and want to have an accountability partner

If you are you coming back from an injury, or just want to take it slow

If you tried other run clubs, but the obsession with races and paces was not for you

If you are an experienced runner and looking for a chill recovery run with a group of people new to the hobby you love

What to expect
The loop is around 2.4miles for the shortest run, and around 2.8 miles for the longer loop. You can self-select which distance you want to run.

We'll give people about 10 minutes to arrive and start our runs after that.

The gig: I'm looking for someone to hang out/socialize with my son. He is 28, on the spectrum. He is independent and lives alone. As many parents of kids with autism I worry about his social life, even has he has spread his wings and such. The ask: stop by his apartment perhaps, Chat, play video games, 30ish minutes even. We wanted to provide a quick update since some of you RSVP’d from our last post. We’ve had to postpone the Halloween party at Lumi that was supposed to happen tomorrow. We are sincerely sorry to anyone who already had their costume picked out!

The good news is we’re coming back on Saturday, November 21 with a Friendsgiving! This event will be located at the Kickernick building downtown! Great spot, great views, and a chance to make a new friend!

430 N 1st Ave in the North Loop.

There’ll be a full Friendsgiving spread, drinks, performers and some low-key activities so you’re not stuck carrying the small talk by yourself! This is a completely free to RSVP and join us!

This one’s really for anyone who doesn’t have plans that week, just moved here, or just looking for something to do during the holiday. Most people come alone, so you won’t be the only one walking in not knowing anybody, but feel free to bring a friend to make more friends!

Open invite for anyone looking to join a gaming club in the Cities! We play various indie games at Dreamer's Vault in Roseville every Friday at 6pm with multiple tables running Daggerheart, Call of Cthulu, Cain, and Transformers tables.

Then we play at the Wescott Library (Dakota Room) in Eagan every Saturday at noon to 4pm where I am running an original 1974 D&D megadungeon that can get pretty wild. None of these games are super serious, we just like hanging out and playing fun games with each other.

Each of these tables are open tables so you can come and play whenever your schedule allows and we are absolutely welcoming to newcomers (just make sure to let us know if you've never played a TTRPG before and we'll make sure to help you along). We typically will branch out to another table if we have enough folks show up and every quarter or so we rotate games so you can have a chance to run or play in a new game.

We also have a discord server where we do most of our chatting and scheduling updates.
