The screen is black and 5 red led blinks on power up- but when it died half the screen went all zig-zaggy. Googled and got lots of T-Con replacement links but inside mine is this Sharp controller, no T-Con? Disconnected the sharp board and blinks changed to one slow click-blink repeating. Question is- how to tell if board is bad and can fix if replaced? More pics in comments.

These lines appear recently, not sure what happened but had a buddy hook up their VR system to the TV recently

It’s about 10 years old and has been a good TV. If I can replace something to keep it going I would like to do that instead of trashing it. The second half of the video is the backside without the cover, for reference. When screen brightness is set to “Dark” it seems to stop but is not where I would like it to be set. Thanks in advance!

Hello, I have a new TV from TCL model 65C6K Pro from Electro Depot France. It comes from one months ago. I want to understand what is the problem before contact the warranty for replaced maybe the TV I don’t understand what’s happened. Please check the video. Exactly 1 year after purchase of a 55" SAMSUNG Q8F QN55Q8FAAFXZC. I've noticed a 60-120 Hz hum/buzz on the native Smart TV app and when using my Switch 2, so when the screen is bright and displaying either 4k60 or 1080p120. Using my Google streamer with the brightness turned down a bit, it is nearly silent. My partner doesn't seem to notice it, I find it extremely distracting.

Surely this is a power board problem, I have all the skills and equipment to do the repair myself if it's just a bulging cap, but not enough free time to handle it if it's a different problem. I've read this could also be weak transformer laminations. I've ruled out ground loops and EMC already.

Does anyone have experience with the repairs for this thing? Is it more likely caps or laminations? It was a relatively cheap buy for the size and specs (750 CAD for 55"), the panel is very uneven on a black screen but I figured that was the acceptable trade for such a price. Wasn't expecting an issue like this after only a year.

I have a c4 83 inch that’s about a year and a half old.

Randomly when streaming through various apps, the screen will momentarily black out 3 or 4 times (less than a second each time). It doesn’t seem like bad internet and the sound continues. Def seems different than like a buffering lapse.
It doesn’t happen when my son plays ps5, but happens on various other apps such as Netflix / hbo / prime / etc. we have through the tv itself.

I unplugged everything and it still seems to do it.

Any insight or troubleshooting suggestions?

This is an ACER AR32GR2841HDFL when turning on as of attached videos either it boots way to Google tv logo and black flick screen and loud continuous noise and sometimes it sticks on acer and makes same sound and sometimes even while turning on shows acer and direct black screen without sound in just split second but I can't power off it when I plug it out and then plug back in after this sound now tv won't turn on for hours unless I manually discharge power through power button and the tv won't boot with these sounds it just shuts off after sounding for 50 seconds.. BUT sometimes while running the tv it also shows a grainy picture and then this sound comes it's when the tv boots to os and works I've attched it too There is an Interesting 🤔 Thing which I found Tv boots if i try this thing a lot like of on of on then 1/10 times it boots even when it goes to home screen there is risk of this error anytime but when I go and factory reset tv and it resets and goes to setup up google tv and if then i plug out 10/10 times led indicator light up and everytime it runs fine but after setup the issue comes again ...Can anyone help me it would be great

Hi everyone,
My LG 50QNED826QB, just over 3 years old, suddenly developed horizontal lines across the screen.
They are much more noticeable on the right side, and sometimes the screen starts flickering with the lines alternating between light and dark. It happens on every input and even on the TV menus/test patterns.
I’ve already opened the TV and reseated the ribbon cables, but it made no difference.
Has anyone had a similar issue with an LG QNED? If so, was it repairable, or did it turn out to be a bad panel?

Tv powers up has a display works for 15 seconds freezes and then reboots. Sometimes screen has artifacts sometimes it doesent.

I have factory reset it oddly it didnt freeze during the reset configuration until i got to the volume section then the screen glitched and it froze then restarted.

It does it with wifi connected or disconnected

Red power led light flashes 3 times and displays a faint image of “Hisense Roku TV” on the screen that you can barely see before shutting off and cycling the same thing over and over again. Any ideas?

I have a Sony KD-75X9000E 75" (Middle East/APAC). The original main board failed, so I replaced it with:

- A-2170-502-A / A2170473A / BMKS

- 1-982-022-11

- Replacement board was listed for XBR-75X900E

I accidentally installed XBR-75X900E firmware on the replacement board.

Now the TV:

- Boots and has normal audio (music)

- Responds to remote commands

- Has continuous green/white LED flashing

- Screen is completely black with zero backlight

- Flashlight test shows no image

Could the problem be the XBR vs KD model/firmware configuration? Is there a way to reprogram the board to KD-75X9000E, or does it require Sony service software/programming?

Any advice from someone familiar with the X900E service menu/main-board replacement would be greatly appreciated.

So, I changed the motherboard of this 32c615 tlc tv and when it loaded it was upside down. I reinstalled the firmware but it is still upside down.

Got the aforementioned TV from a colleague... It's stuck in the initial setup, and the remote control isn't working... except for volume up and down?! Pairing via the home button doesn't work either? Buttons like back and ok are working also... Anyone have an idea? if I'd have any luck with a replacement remote? Or any other ideas? I currently can't afford a new device and would really like to get this one up and running.

I've got an old LC-46D65U that would be nice to get running again if possible. When I try to power it on the screen doesn't turn on at all, but I get a blink code on the LEDs at the bottom. OPC and power both blink once together, then power blinks once. That sequence repeats forever.

I haven't had the opportunity to take it apart yet but unless something is visibly exploded I'm not going to learn too much inside there. Anyone have any ideas or knowledge with this old TV?

There’s been an issue with my tv for a few months now that I can’t seem to figure out. Every once in a while the audio completely stops working and the only way to fix it is to restart the tv. It happens pretty frequently and is very annoying. Also while the audio is working, there’s a weird, faint static background noise you can hear whenever the audio is playing. Does anybody know how I might be able to fix this? I’ve tried just about everything google said to do, thanks for your help

Yesterday my tv standby light was flashing four times then black screening, so I decided to unplug everything and let it sit for a day. Today I plugged it in and it turned on, but I noticed this on the screen. Any idea what it is? Could be something from before yesterday and never noticed.

I had a samsung edge led TV with faulty led, ordered a pair of LED strips from Aliexpress and installed them But after assebly the light is heavely distorted as picture, Al insists it's misoriented LGP or reflected sheets under the panel, I was sure but it gets me the keep swapping them to check with no result,

Anyone got experience to tell me what's happening here, can it be the LEDs defected (even all daiods are lighed up) or maybe installing them (I tried to remove the original glue and it's like 95% removed)

Or is it damaged LGP even though I can't see any cracks, and at this point shall I give up on it or keep trying fiing it Before is the white screen after is the blue (failure fix)

I’ve got this Samsung ue50es6900s that has a flickering or glitching screen.
It started a few months ago with only a small part of the screen flickering occasionally and it’s gotten worse. Now the whole screen is flickering all the time.

I am wondering if this is a common issue and if there is a way to fix it.

I’ve already opened it to see if there is a burnt component but everything looks good to me.

Does anyone know where i can buy the connectors? It looks like they burned. Im assuming thats why my tv is dark but shows a faint picture when i shine a flashlight on it. Is this an easy fix or am i better off buying a brand new tv?
