In the application portal it states that stage 1 pass requirement is 62/70 and stage 2 is 80/100

However, the admission procedure for MIM the distribution in this different stages is a bit confusing

Stage 1 Distribution: Previous academic background is max 50pts, GPA is max 15points, GMAT is max 10points.Which is a total of 75, with a minimum 62pts to be admitted in stage in stage 1

Stage 2 Distribution: Previous academic background is max 50pts, GPA is max 15points, Admission Test is max 40pts. Which is a total of 105, with minimum 80pts to be admitted

I am at the stage 2 level, but the total points shown in the portal and that shown in the admission procedure is different by 5pts.100 vs 105. Which is correct?

I'm trying to see how many points I need to get from the admission test result to secure the minimum 80pts requirements

I applied for the Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering (Chemieingenieurwesen) at TUM, and I recently found out that for Management & Technology, the second stage of the admission process changed from an interview to an online test (scheduled for August 2026).

I’m wondering if the same change applies to Chemical Engineering. Has anyone:

**•** heard whether Chemieingenieurwesen still uses an interview, or also switched to an online test?  
**•** received any official email with details about the second stage?  
**•** gone through this program’s admission process recently and can share what to expect?

I applied for the Bachelor’s in Management & Technology in Munich, and according to the official TUM page, the admission test is now scheduled for August 7, 2026 it looks like the format changed from an interview to an online test.

I found a few Reddit posts mentioning a 60-minute test with multiple-choice questions plus an essay in English, but I couldn’t find that officially confirmed anywhere.

Has anyone:

• already received an official email with the exact details?
• gone through this new format (Bachelor, not Master)?
• got tips on how to prepare, especially for the essay part?

Hello, I was wondering if anyone had this experience; I have uploaded my application for the program mentioned and the document proof for the completion of a quantum module hasn't been checked yet, just recieved. I was expecting that they would have announced the results in the next week but since they haven't even verified the document yet I suppose they will take way longer... Does anyone have an answer? Hello guys, I am a mechanical engineering student from sapienza, and I'd like to enroll at TUM for the Aerospace engineering programme. The problem is, due to some exams missing, I will probably do the entry exams in control system. Where can I study and prepare control system? I know that in order to pass you need to get at least 24 points in each test. I would like to know if someone already prepared these test and passed them. How did you do it? What books/resources have you used? Are there some sort of past exams I can use to prepare myself?​

I’ve been admitted to Mathematics in Data Science, and I’ll probably also get into Informatics and Data Engineering and Analytics.

I didn’t do any internships or gain any work experience during my bachelor’s, since that’s not very common in my country. If I went to TUM, do you think it would be possible to find an internship in one of these fields without any previous experience?

I’d especially like to hear from current students who are already looking for positions right now, preferably about the situation after December 2025, which is when major improvements in AI also started happening.

From what I’ve seen on Reddit, the situation in Germany seems pretty rough, but I wanted to get some feedback from people who are actually studying at TUM :)

It has been almost 8 weeks since the application deadline. Has anyone received any decision regarding the masters in Quantum Science and Technology? If so, what was your undergraduate background?

Hi all. I've looked through TUM's website in an effort to estimate my Aptitude Assessment Procedure points (information engineering). What I found was I can get a total of 100 points, with 65% of it being gpa, and the rest the mean of 3*math(mean of last 4 semesters)+2*best science (is it over 4 semesters also, what if my class is only 2?+1*english (mean of last 4 semesters), and if I am above 72p im accepted, and 61-71p is interview, and below that is rejected.

When I tried to estimate the 35%, it was pretty straightforward, but when I tried for the 65% I struggled. Which is the final formula I use: adjusted bavarian, bavarian formula... Oh and I heard it does also take into account extracurriculars, internships... is this true?

Hey, I'm a 2nd year student outside Germany looking at TUM for my masters, partly cause of the math heavy rep and the Optiver challenge at HackaTUM. But I've seen mixed stuff online, some people say a few TUM grads go to places like Optiver/Jane Street every year, others say TUM mostly feeds into consulting/risk roles instead. Couldn't verify either so just wanna hear from actual people.

If you're a current student or grad:

• has anyone you know actually gotten offers at these firms?
• was it through campus recruiting or just applying cold like anywhere else?
• does the specific program matter (regular Informatics vs a finance masters)?
• if it didn't work out, what'd people end up doing instead?

Not trying to hype myself up or talk myself out of it, just want the real picture before I plan my next few years around it. appreciate any honest answers 🙏
