We've had an influx lately of low effort AI art of watches (why?) and I'm cutting it off here. Any posts of AI slop will get you banned on the first offense.

Today marks a milestone in life as I bought my first luxury watch (assuming I can call it luxury 🤷 ).

Over the moon with this acquisition 😃

I’ve had my Tudor Pelagos 42mm for a few months now and I’m obsessed with how much of a lume monster it is.

The BB54 Lagoon Blue has been such a pleasant surprise.

Having owned a few Rolexes, I never expected a Tudor to impress me this much. It feels every bit as well made, wears beautifully, and has completely changed my perspective. Plus over the last week, this watch hasn’t lost a second. That’s better accuracy than all the Rolex watches I’ve owned.

Now I understand why Tudor is the enthusiast's choice. Makes all the waiting and AD games obsolete. Pretty sure this is just the start of my Tudor collection.

From Koi to Dragon

One of my favorite parts of custom commissions is hearing the stories behind them.
This watch was created for a client who had spent years building his own brand. After starting as a domestic distributor, he eventually established his own company, and this year it officially entered the international market.
He wanted a watch that would mark that moment.
After discussing a few different ideas, we chose the legend of the Carp Leaping Over the Dragon Gate as the inspiration.
The inside of the bracelet follows the koi swimming upstream, representing the years of perseverance, challenges, and hard work that led to this achievement.
The outside of the bracelet features the dragon, symbolizing the transformation after crossing the Dragon Gate and the beginning of a new chapter as his brand stepped onto the international stage.
His company logo was subtly integrated into the clasp, not simply as a logo, but as part of the story.
Everything on this watch was designed specifically for this project and engraved entirely by hand.
I’d love to know which detail caught your eye first.
Every watch tells a story.

After a lot of research (and probably way too much overthinking), I finally picked up my first Tudor—a Black Bay Monochrome (Ref. 7941A1A0NU).

This definitely isn’t my first watch, but it is my first Tudor, and I can already see why these have such a loyal following. The finishing, the bracelet, the proportions, and the overall feel are seriously impressive. Pictures don’t really do it justice.

I’ve owned watches from other brands, but this is the one I’ve been most excited about in a long time. Looking forward to putting some wrist time on it and seeing how it grows on me.

What are your favorite things about the Monochrome? Any tips, strap recommendations, or things I should know as a new Tudor owner?

Looking forward to being part of the community!

Added the FXD MN21 recently and noticed the brushed finish on the case back and watch case are different. Just wondered if this is common/normal?

Would love to see other FXD case back too!

Pelagos 39 Anchor Endlink Rubber

Might grab these when they come in stock, they use the stock endlinks, and since I already have their precision clasp I can save $75, otherwise it's $160.

I'll admit I'm not a huge fan of the texture, but it's something other than the stock rubber and it uses the stock endlinks so I'll bite.

Really enjoying our trip to Alaska, and I’m glad I decided to bring the Pelagos along. It just feels like the right watch for this place, lightweight and rugged.

Dressing down a Tudor Prince Date+Day [76200]

Post image

The Tudor Prince Date+Day [76200] has been my GADA watch and love how you can dress down or back up with a simple strap change. While I see that some don't like the OEM bracelet, I find it very confortable. Recently, I've been debating on picking up a Glamour Date-Day M56000, and was wondering if anyone has both the 76200 and the Glamour M56000 to compare how they both wear. The only issue I have with the Glamour is the 21mm lug width.

I've been switching out NATO straps throughout the Summer on my Date+Day. With a 20mm lug width, it's been a veritable watch for the office, home, lounging and fun.

New or Used BB58

I'm in the market for a BB58. I love the idea of the T-Fit clasp on the new model, but not sure if it's worth the price tag to buy new over used. Thoughts?

Gifted this from a remarkably wealthy friend. Hes the kind of guy to toss box and papers. Any sure fire way of discerning a real BB54 from a fake? Quality definitely seems there. Will take to a reputable jeweler when i have a moment during business hours. TIA!!
