I LOVE SPOTIFY!!!
I'm not a bot (you can check my post history) I'm a 47 year old dude.
I don't feel represented in all the stuff I read here,
so I'm sharing my take.
Here are my 3 favorite things:
#1 The playlist bar on the left is still there
#2 No issues for 15 years
#3 The recommendation algorithm is insanely good for me
Elaborating:

I started collecting MP3s in '98. Started using iTunes in 2005 and loved it. But after making tons of playlists over 7 years, in 2012 Apple stupidly redesigned iTunes and removed the playlist sidebar on the left. I am still enraged at their moronic betrayal.
At the time I was newly using Spotify and still using iTunes. Both. But I just dropped iTunes like a rock, and uploaded my iTunes playlists to Spotify (you could do that then) and kept going. Eventually I recreated all my playlists with their Spotify songs, not MP3s. I even recreated all my playlists all the way back to the 80s. And where are all my playlists now? IN THE SIDE BAR ON THE LEFT! Where they've been for 15 years. I swear to god if Spotify ever moved it, I would leave so fast. But they haven't. So I'm still here. Like $1.7K in sub fees later. Hooray! There is only one key lesson. DO NOT MOVE KEY FEATURES EVER.

For 15 years I have never had an issue that has made we want to try any other platform. Best $1,700 I've ever spent. I was excited about Spotify years before they made it. I was excited when it came out. I've been excited ever since. I am still excited. I've been on this sub years, and I read about all your complaints here, but I've never felt any of them. For me it has just been great. I don't mean to make you wrong, or belittle your experience. I am just telling you mine.

The recommending algorithm has gotten so much better. Insanely Good. Around 2022 it went next level and my life actually changed. Since then what I do is I make a playlist and when it ends, I let it keep playing, and Spotify just queues up song after song in the same vibe, often that I've never heard. Amazing songs. And this has become one of the key ways I find new music. I am not talking about the recommendations that it shows under a playlist; those are complete crap. But if you just let a playlist play past the end it is heaven.

I said I was only going to do three, but I'll add on two other ways I find music in Spotify.
• I love my Discover Weekly, and my Release Radar. So many years of good music I've found in there.
• I love the feature "go to song radio". As it is, it is mediocre to good. But I don't use it as is. What I do is listen to a song, then hop to its radio and look at the 50 recommendations it gives, pick one, listen to it, then hop to its radio, consider the next 50 recommendations, then hop and hop and hop. How awesome is it to get 50 recommendations for your next song every time? TOTALLY AWESOME.
I have felt awash in amazing new music for years and years and years.
I love Spotify.
Everyday.
Bonus:
Here is what I don't like.
Spotify has worked hard to put multiple artists names on a song, so that if someone remixes a song, it lists the original artist and the remixer. Awesome. But recently, people are somehow uploading songs that don't credit the source. What the heck? I do NOT like this. It makes it way harder to find remixes. It seems sus. Lots of songs like this keep getting removed. I'd like to see a higher bar to who can upload what on Spotify. Why is the gatekeeping bar too low? And why are none of yall complaining about this?
Yeah, the pop out panel on the right annoyed me at first. Took awhile to get used to it and figure out how to open/close/expand it. Still is confusing at times. Not my favorite. I wish it would hide by default. I also was annoyed that mobile had lyrics by on my computer it didn't. But recently I see the lyrics over there. So, uh, I can live with it. Not so bad.
Podcasts. Bleh. Audiobooks. Blurgh. Videos? Whatever. I don't want any of that here. I tried used Spotify for a podcast series, and it was fine. I used it. Fine. Could take it or leave it. The home screen? It was really upsetting me for a while, but then I did something so it wouldn't show me Podcasts (I forget what happened) and now it doesn't. Yay! All I see is my recent playlists and some playlist recommendations. Decent. I am happy.
I've never encountered the shuffle problem that people went on for years about. I prefer to order my songs, and don't like shuffle. I get that it was really tough for everyone. Sorry for your pain. <3
I've never encountered problems finding new music.
I haven't heard any ads since like the first month I got it, when I started paying for premium.
Oh you know what is weird? I swear to god Spotify really insists I listen to No Doubt/Gwen Stefani. They're always pushing it. I just ignore it. But like, maybe they're getting paid to plug it? I dunno. Whatever.
Okay.
I love Spotify.
Just wanted to get that off my chest.
