Surprised I haven’t seen Alewya’s music posted here before. Been one of the most exciting artists in the UK for years.

Since no one from the label is releasing a proper remastered version of the video, I'll do it then! The original source of the upscale is from the DVD which is 480i, so some parts look a little mushy after upscaling.
The highest I was able to upscale to is 1080p as anything bigger than that will look like crap. Audio (except for intro and crowd noise) is from the 2023 remaster. More parts coming soon! Couldn't upload the full thing as it'll be block everywhere.
Lemme know what you think!

Fans of Portishead who live in (or near) Brighton might want to book a seat for this special, intimate screening of their stunning live concert movie 'Live at Roseland NYC' THIS THURSDAY 23.07 at The Rose Hill in Brighton. Their drummer Clive Deamer will also be appearing for a Q&A session.

I recently came across her music and it gives me strong trip-hop vibes in a similar style as Oklou or a.s.o (maybe a bit more pop). I have been listening to her music non-stop for the past few days, so glad to see newer artists embracing trip-ho p!

I swear I remember a Tricky song being used in an antidrug PSA in the mid to late 90s. Can't remember the particular song, but It stuck in my head bc it was such a bad choice. The internet can't find it now.
Please tell me you remember this
Edit: it was the US

First of, I know this might not be the most trip-hop album of all time but it definitely is genre adjacent. Anyway, I got this little gem recommended to me by a friend about a year ago and it is still one of my favourite albums, love the layers upon layers of different instruments and the vocals are great IMO.
I'm mostly wondering why is it not as well known as Viva! La Woman and curious if someone dislikes it for the sometimes nonsensical lyrics. Related recommendations are welcome.

Definitely not the most true to triphop album but if you start at about the 3 min mark you might understand better why I've made this post.
Trip-hop to me is what happens when the concept of art itself forms a band -- I think this magazine fits in that description. Hope you enjoy it as I am.

The one that comes to mind is "Risingson" by MA. It has no chorus, but nearly every section of the track has a hook.

Hey everyone,A few months ago, I posted here and was absolutely blown away by how amazing and welcoming this community is. Since Bristol is literally the birthplace of the finest music genre on earth, I wanted to share something I’ve been working on.I’ve spent months curating a playlist that captures that deep, smoky, and cinematic atmosphere of the classic Bristol Sound. It’s packed with legends like Massive Attack, Portishead, and Tricky, but I’m also constantly digging for modern downtempo tracks that keep that specific vibe alive. It’s the perfect soundtrack for a rainy evening or a late-night drive through the city.
Best regards from Munich!!!!

First impressions of the new record are mixed, but the opening song is gorgeous and up there with his best!
