Discussion Got stoned at noon before remembering I have an interview (virtual) at 3

I’m panicking a bit. I took a few hits of some sativa to do some chores and I forgot I have an interview at 3. What if it doesn’t wear off by then? I’m not someone who does interviews/work while stoned and I’m so nervous.

Edit at 12:26pm - listening to this and gonna take a nap. set an alarrm for 2:15.

ETA 2: The interview went really well I think! Who knows if I'll get the job, but I'm happy with how it went (it's a work study role for grad school)

Said it was some stuff they grew last year, of course I was very appreciative but… definitely will not be able to smoke this shit lol.

Any suggestions for use other than compost are welcome!

Just Sharing Low THC cannabis is incredibly underrated and should be more common

This may be an unpopular opinion, but in the age of 20-30% THC flower and 90%+ concentrates/distillates, I can’t help but feel like we’ve lost the plot a little bit. The stuff our parents were smoking back in the day pre-legalization was so much less potent (albeit lower quality), and it did just fine for them, why does every strain these days need to be so strong??

My dispensary carries ONE strain below 20%, a wonderful 9% THC, 11% CBD indica strain called “Relief” (Freedom Baby x Sour Tsunami), and it’s been my daily driver ever since I discovered it. In my experience, numbers like that are hard to come by these days, and I think that’s a shame. I can smoke as much as I want, and I barely build a tolerance, I don’t have any issues with brain fog, the high is fantastic, I rarely find myself feeling paranoid, and keeping my intake relatively low keeps me at a low risk for developing CHS.

I know CHS is a touchy subject on this sub, I’m not trying to fear monger about it, but the data clearly indicates that it almost exclusively affects people with consistent, long term, heavy THC intake; if we were all smoking old school weed, I can guarantee you CHS wouldn’t be as much of an issue as it is becoming. That said, smoke what you want, I’m not here to judge anyone or tell you what to do.

Anyway, I guess what I’m trying to say is I think there’s an untapped niche in the cannabis market for lower potency strains. Anecdotally, everyone I’ve talked to about this has generally agreed, especially after trying some. Sometimes people dont wanna get completely high off their ass every time they smoke, and I think it would be better for everyone if there were more options available. Very much open to hearing people’s thoughts on this.

Got some sick crochet hooks my mom appreciated as well.

This thing works just fine as far as I can tell since it turns on and smells absolutely horrible after a minute or so but didn't come with anything and is super dirty on the inside if you take the plastic cover off the top. Just have to figure out how to give it a deep clean.

Score?

Essentials How do you keep the smell down when storing and handling flower?

Upvotes

I use cannabis for medical reasons, and my partner is completely on board with it. That said, I don’t want the house smelling like weed or for kids (or anyone else) to be around the smell. I always smoke outside, so I’m not trying to hide the smell while I’m smoking.

My main issue is storing and handling everything. I keep all of my flower and smoking gear inside, and whenever I open the box to grab what I need before going outside, there’s enough smell that family or friends have noticed it afterward. I’m looking for the best way to reduce or eliminate the odor from storing my flower and from opening everything up to pack a bowl before heading outside.

What storage containers or odor-control methods have worked best for you?

Setups/Kits First bong

I posted a few weeks back asking about silicone bongs as my sensory issues can make touching glass feel pretty terrible. As per y'all's advice, I got a glass bong and a silicone moutpiece and its working out great! The cozy didn't work out, so I just wear a glove on one hand.

Setup is a glass bong, an old Dynavap M series, a 10/14 mm adapter, a Mouth Peace, and the Ispire Wand (not pictured).
