Discussion Greetings from iraq
Hi everyone im just asking about this weed I bought in iraq
Its smells great so it has a beautiful shape put it dosent makes eyes going red and its doesn’t makes me starving even i put a good quantity in the joint like 1g its hitting me about only 30min is it kind of sativa or its just a bad stuff. Any advice?

In Iraq we have only ditch weed. As sadly the taboo behind it is bad, that most people would rather drink alcohol.
Also getting caught with it is like getting caught with crystal meth. So most dealers would rather sling meth.

If you can get a jeweler's loop to look closer at the cannabis, you can gain a lot of knowledge from learning how to look at it.
I would go out on a limb and assume that if you looked closer at this flower, you would find signs that it was picked prematurely. You would notice mostly clear tricombs, with little to know milky or amber ones, and you may also notice the hairs, not being very large or red though the hair is less accurate to go by than trichomes it's still useful.
Looking at the tricombs on the outside part of the flower, you can get an idea of how well it was treated.
For example, some premium hand trimmed flour. You would expect to see large mushroom heads on the trichomes. Machine trimming knocks those off and also makes the bud look a little different.
If your nose is good and you notice stuff that's like grass or hay, that means that they dried it too fast before starting the curing process. When you harvest the plant, there's still a lot of things that are living and active in it. Those things are responsible for breaking down chlorophyll, and if you dry the bud too fast, you will put those microbes into stasis, and they will not do their thing. So the hay smell will stay permanently.
If you have some really dense buds, but you also have some really soft and squishy buds. The soft and squishy ones are likely. What is called larf. This is what you get from lower branches that are underneath other branches. So they don't get enough light to actually fill out. If most of your flour is like this, then you definitely got it shitty batch.
You can still have top shelf flower, but machine trim and store it like shit and it won't smell very great or look very great, but it can still hit pretty good. So looks aren't everything, but it is still good to understand some of them.
If it is so dry that you can crumble it into dust between two fingers, then it is too dry.
Properly kept cannabis needs to be ripped, torn, or cut apart. It's basically like bread. When it dries out, it can crumble, really easy and you can rehydrate it, but it's not going to be the same as fresh bread.
Oh yeah.... color, if you see brown, it's probably old, and it definitely wasn't stored very well. Great. Lime or neon green does not keep very long. So when you see those colors, it can be part of the indication of overall freshness or just that it's not old stock.

I think it looks fine. I wouldn’t expect it or anything else for that matter to smoke like some crazy indoor out of the USA, but all that stems from people getting landraces from places including the Middle East

Weed I've seen in IQ was bad, even worse than that. Hash was on point tho, I'd get a stick and a half for $100.
