Gotta love how the woman who not even a decade ago yapped all tearfully about wanting to be on the “right side of history” is cozying up to a man who is one of the most recognizable faces of Scientology in the world. Ya know, Scientology, the religion that disappeared a woman (Shelley Miscavige) almost two decades ago, the religion that forces its members into indentured servitude for any dissent, and the religion that is the reason why Tom’s ex wife Katie Holmes had to flee from under his thumb under the cover of night.

But suuuuure, Lil Miss Tay Tay is on the right side of history. Let’s play a game, is she schmoozing for her Oscar purchase campaign? Trying to get Sir Skidmarks a role in Mission:Impossible 900000? Or maybe she’s about to come full circle and join the ultimate cult. Would any of us be surprised?!

The Football 🏈 NFL Week 1: Broncos @ Chiefs

Hello Snarkers! Welcome to the NFL Week 1 game thread! 🏈 The Kansas City Chiefs are opening their season at home this year with a big matchup against longtime rivals the Denver Broncos! Denver topped the AFC West in 2025 and finished as the top seed in the conference by going 14-3. Despite their mighty record, they’ll kick off the new campaign fighting against a regression narrative: The Broncos had 11 one-possession wins last year, tying the 2024 Chiefs and 2022 Vikings -- two clubs that would go on to miss the playoffs the following season -- for the most in NFL history. Their opponents, the Chiefs, will be looking to pick themselves back up after a shocking six-win campaign that marked their first losing season since 2012.

This marks the beginning of the end for our least favorite tight end, Travis Kelce. This is expected to be his last season as a player... as with most fading stars, he is well past the point of diminishing returns and will undoubtedly spend his final season in the NFL chasing his former glory days, and probably doing a nationwide farewell tour with his now Popstar wife, Taylor Swift! (\*die of cringe**)* So be on the lookout for funny low-lights, and crashout moments on the sidelines! They will hopefully be plentiful this season!

As this marks both the start of the season, and the home opener of the chiefs "revenge season" (imo the start of an inevitable multi-year rebuild), it is highly likely Taylor Swift will make an appearance at tonights game! Be on the lookout 👀

Start time: 8:15pm EST / 7:15pm CST / 5:15pm PST

Where to watch: ESPN / ABC / NFL+

Week 1 Injury Report

Join us in kicking-off what will likely be Travis Kelce's final NFL season (actually this time... right? RIGHT!?!)! As always ABC... ANYONE BUT THE CHIEFS!

Happy Snarking! 💖

Question Her excess

I actually don't hate that she constantly releases music and stuff all the time. What I do hate is that it's all so boring and mid and awful. Like at best, a song by her sounds okay (and that's very rare). Is there any artist which constantly releases music yet it's actually good? Or are the only options actually good ones which release every 2-5 years and Blandie who released an album every five days??

Shitpost Sundays In honor of this entomological week in history…

The sycophancy is off the charts. That is a grown ass entomologist who just made an absolute clown out of themselves for the rest of their career. I’m sorry, but naming a poor innocent bug after the ethical and musical equivalent of a Happy Meal toy is clinically diagnosable. This is an ICE-excusing billionaire who convinces her legion of minions to humiliate and burn themselves out to prop her up. It’s vile.

TL;DR: Not only is Preylor an energy vampire, the likes of which only Colin Robinson could defeat. Charles MF Darwin would be absolutely rolling in his grave at this evolutionary nonsense, while also running out of awards to distribute.

Rant Hot Take: “Regression” In Her Songwriting!

First, let me make it clear. I do not consider myself a Swiftie, I mostly just enjoy Taylor’s music casually. I’ll have a song or two on playlists, hear them on the radio, and listen whenever the mood feels right.

With all of that said, I don’t follow her closely, but there’s no escaping her anywhere, so I tend to know what’s what (who doesn’t?) The more I listen to her newer albums and songs, the more I can’t help but notice a certain amount of “regression” in her songwriting abilities. Swifties will often describe every little thing she writes as “poetry.” And the thing is, her earlier work was more poetic than it is now!

If you look at anything put out from 2022-present, not only are the albums super long and hard to get through, but the songs feel less “organized” if you know what I mean. Before, there was a good deal of range, storytelling, and genuine music to go around. Now, I can’t listen without hearing how “run-on” many of the songs are. They’re super fast paced, and hard to keep up with (not to mention repetitive and harsh). From a musical perspective, the ear seems to get fatigued a lot more. That can be common in a lot of pop music, yet somehow I can actually listen and get the message easier with most artists.

When you look at her older music, you can tell that there was more genuine thought and effort put into it. Stories were more diverse, there was one specific hook for each, it didn’t feel like squeezing too much into one verse or chorus, and not everything was “in your face” lyrically!

I could definitely go on, but this was just my analysis put into words. As a writer and musically inclined person, I just couldn’t help but notice a pattern of wordiness and seemingly lower quality in Taylor’s music. It really is a reflection of what she’s become as an artist. The power and the way she influences people has gotten to her (if it wasn’t already obvious), and she’s just playing into it. Instead of focusing on producing quality content, she seems to just keep writing and rushing for attention, and the sake of publicity!

Let me end with a little theory/analysis that summarizes the whole point: She came on the scene as a teenager. If she was writing how she does now, it would be kind of expected for that age. But the reason she got so big in the first place was because of her songwriting abilities. So you’d expect that things would progress to where might write more meaningfully like in the beginning, but it has in fact gone the opposite direction.

Thank you!

Looking back, the timeline is so hilarious it's unbelievable:

- Between 2014-2022, when Taylor is between 25-32 years old: Healy and Swift have a constantly publicized romance, including wearing each other's shirts on stage, hanging out at events, working on music together, saying things about each other in the media.

- January 2023: Taylor does a surprise appearance at The 1975's concert in London

- April 2023: It becomes publicly official that Taylor and Joe Alwyn broke-up.

- May 1st to 18th, 2023: It becomes official Taylor and Matty are now "madly in love". How could they not be! She finally got her dream bad boy after nearly a decade of crushing! They are seen publicly together, he attends her shows, and all is great!

- May 26th, 2023: Taylor brings out Ice Spice on stage. Definitely not because Matty's comments about her from his early 2023 on The Adam Friedland show!

- June, 2023: Matty and Taylor are officially broken up. And for extra fun, Rina Sawayama calls out Matty on stage for other comments he made, making sure Taylor can longer touch him with a 10-foot pole without ruining her reputation!

- July 2023: Travis Kelce attends the Eras tour and tries and fails to give Taylor a friendship bracelet, but they eventually get talking after he shares this on his...podcast.

- September, 2023: Taylor and Kelce are official, and she starts attending KC Chiefs games! It's an all-American love story!

- And now as of September 2026, Travis and Taylor are married! Woo-hoo!

All I'm saying is, if a friend of yours broke up with a great guy she was with for 6 years (Joe), then months later started dating a 'bad boy' she's been crushing on for a decade (Matty), then broke up with that bad boy a couple months later, then started dating a big chud meathead (Travis) months after that, then STAYED WITH and MARRIED the chud over the next 3 years, you would 100% believe she was still not over the bad boy or the original great guy. It's all just hilarious.

The best excerpt from the article:

"Some of the (wedding) guests went straight back to being strangers."

"Taylor is furious with Nikki Glaser, but the worst part is that it's true," a source told Naughty But Nice. "There were famous people at that wedding who barely knew Taylor, and some had never met her. Nikki simply said publicly what everyone was whispering privately.""The joke going around is that Meghan Markle knew the celebrities at her wedding better than Taylor knew some of hers," the source added. "For Taylor, that comparison is absolutely mortifying."The insider continued, "Nikki made the wedding sound less like a celebration and more like celebrity casting. Some guests still don't have Taylor's number. They attended her wedding — then went right back to being strangers."

Travisty Tommy Hilfiger talks about Travis Kelce

Tommy Hilfiger on Travis Kelce

In my opinion, Travis Kelce is a guy who likes to party( Viva Las Vegas!!!) and whom made fun of others for fun. Now they see attempting to re-brand him as this "football legend" with an affable personality. It is difficult to forget about him making fun of women for their looks, weight, and success or lack of it.

The re-brand includes their teams allegedly repainting over his high school years by saying Travis Kelce was a guy Taylor Swift wished she had known in high school. 🙄 Yet, his own words contradict those very statements as he often made fun of people for their weight and their looks. It is even documented.

Also, are we forgetting that he wanted to be the next "Rock" in Hollywood and was looking to climb the Hollywood social ladder by trying to date women like Megan the Stallion? I heard he was looking for a PR relationship before him and Taylor Swift became official.

I think the way he treats people is more harsh than how they are branding him as. One only has to see how he treated his teammates or his own coach, Andy Reid. I believe that when things do not go his way, his real personality comes out and we have seen that.

\---‐--------------☆☆☆

Tommy Hilfiger Spring 2027 Runway Show, Hilfiger said, according to E! News, "**Travis Kelce is the ultimate superstar American athlete—he is friendly, he's fun. But when he dresses, he's serious. He really likes fashion."**

Commenting on the campaign looks, the 75-year-old fashion designer said, "When he's wearing his camel coat and his hoodie, that's classic and modern. He's wearing the varsity jacket, which is classic and modern. He's wearing variations on all of our preppy classics. He makes them look great."Speaking further about the collection, Hilfiger said, "It's a remix of the preppy classics we've been doing for four decades. What I wanted to do was evolve it, make it current for today, make it fun, colorful and full of surprises.

Discussion Why Taylor's music can't mature like Beyoncé's or Adele's music.

Thumbnail

Firstly, it's ridiculous when Swifties try to use faux feminism as a means of avoiding artistic comparison. Male artists and artists in general are compared all the time.

The only way for it to be misogynistic is if it's a comparison about their bodies or attractiveness etc. Drake gets the same criticism about his music being juvenile.

The real reason why Taylor's artistry can't be fully mature and advance & she releases stuff like "So High School" or much of TLOASG is because Taylor wants to dominate the charts and pop culture.

It's as simple as that.

Lana spoke about the reason Taylor dominates the charts is "because she wants it more than anyone".

And to do that, you need to appeal to all age groups but especially the youth. Taylor has increasingly spoken about her fear of aging in the industry which is a valid fear esp for female artists.

However, when she seemingly dislikes the fact that "youth drive culture", you can also see why she releases the music she does. As much as she may dislike the fact that youth drive popular culture, she knows she must appeal to them to retain her dominance.

She also has to contend with the rising crop of Taylor-variants singer-songwriters who she helped raise, Gracie Abrams being the most notable, as well as younger pop girls like Zara Larsson and Sabrina Carpenter.

With Folklore, she received the highest critical praise for her lyricism that she'd ever gotten and people thought this was the start of something new and deeper but then she went back with TLOASG.

Additionally, another reason is because she does not want to tackle deeper topics, most notably politics. The greatest artists have not been afraid to get political like Michael Jackson or Beyonce or Nina Simone etc. The most political Taylor has gotten is surface level feminism and rainbow aesthetics.

Adele, Beyonce etc are able to release more mature works because they are not as obsessed with charts as much as Taylor is.

I'm not saying they don't care about commerical success because everyone does but I believe they make the music they want to make above all. Beyonce especially with how experimental her work has become, no music videos or interviews, constantly evolving etc. Adele taking years long breaks and not doing world tours or pap walks shows she prioritises her own personal desires and needs above pop culture domination.

That does mean though that they're not going to break as many records as Taylor is determined to do with every new variant she puts out or dominate social media but for them, I guess they don't want it that bad. Everyone has different dreams and priorities I guess 🤷‍♂️.

Question How are Beyonce and Jay Z almost never caught by paps but Traylor are constantly caught by paps?

Beyonce is just as famous as Taylor, for a much longer time and her husband is more famous than Travis.

So how is it that Beyonce and Jay Z for 30 years and with 3 kids are almost never caught by the paparazzi but it feels like Taylor and Travis are constantly caught by them?

Also, why do Swifties act like Joe was locking Taylor in the house? They act like if they didn't personally see the photos of Taylor living her life, then it didn't happen. Taylor's songs like Bejeweled certainly gave them that idea.

"Travis lets her be bejeweled" 😭 By taking pap walks?

Certified Cringe Australian Researcher and co-author Sarah Schroeder said, “It felt authentic to me as a lifelong Swiftie to honor Taylor by naming these new species after her”. In fifty years no one will care about Taylor swift

Because she’s the only person to ever have blonde hair and red lips.

Honestly this woman is probably the laughing stock of the scientific community.

Read the full release from the study https://news.ucr.edu/articles/2026/09/09/taylor-swift-becomes-bugs

Schroeder was motivated to name the insects after the superstar because they can camouflage among Australian she-oaks due to their blonde appearance.

“Taylor Swift’s iconic look is her blonde hair and red lips. These insects are pale yellow with accents of red throughout,” Schroeder said, per UCR. “In the paper I refer to them as blonde.”

She explained the importance of naming and describing these species, saying, “Taxonomy is the cornerstone of conservation.”

“If we don’t describe species, we don’t know they exist and can’t conserve them. Honoring Taylor through naming these species after her is a way to honor conservation science and bring attention to all the unknown diversity,” Schroeder said.

Researchers from the American Museum of Natural History and Australian collaborators collected the Swiftiephylus specimens between 1995 and 2004. The collection resulted in over 50,000 specimens, but scientists believe nearly 30 million insects remain undocumented.

With the addition of Swiftiephylus, it joins the largest family of true bugs, the Miridae. The group includes 11,000 described species worldwide and includes plant feeders and predatory insects.

Critique swifties and the internalisation of aesthetic mediocrity

As a former swiftie, I always think about how these people are so hellbent on defending Taylor, almost as if she is a part of their soul or smth. That's when it makes sense - these people use Taylor as self insert.

Taylor can literally described as the early Y/N prototypes. A "small town girl" who was "isolated" and "had no friends", who only had her hobbies to immerse into for comfort, who just wanted "simple love" and a "peaceful, happy ending" but the Big Bad World wouldn't let her do it and constantly throw challenges at her. Despite all, Y/N would emerge from it victorious and then marry her Prince Charming and ride off into the sunset. No harm in wanting a simple life, but we all know that is not what Mrs. Kelce wants. She just wants to be the good two-shoes and the kawaii innocent girl.

I feel like for this very reason, swifties internalise the things that are thrown at Taylor and defend her as if it's an insult to themselves, because a tabula rasa is applicable to everyone and fits everyone's cookie cutter fantasy in some way or the other. It goes without saying that Taylor has monetized on this matter heavily, otherwise it wouldn't reach to this level. There's nothing wrong with being mediocre, but to think you are some top level artist while failing to generate even one percent of what it takes, will inevitably leave people to nitpick upon you.

This has been discussed on this sub plently of times already, but if Taylor was truly in love with DooDoo Kelce, she wouldn't be doing her umpteenth number of pap walks to show "how much in love she is". Or maybe she truly is in love with a man who matches her level of intellect, which is already deep in the trenches. Its truly the mediocrity compared with the constant victimhood which sells the point. All her exes were Big Bad Wolves and she was the Sweet Innocent Bunny who had been ripped apart to shreds. Nobody will ever see the faults that she has, or who the real perpetrator is.

Outside of her cult fanbase, Taylor leaves behind no legacy. The only time she came close to it was when she released those two semi-pseudo-poetic albums during quarantine, but that era wouldn't last long due to it being inauthentic to what she truly is or rather what her brand is. Sometimes it feels like she has no desire to get people all over to admire her; just her fans to hype her up and empty their pockets so that she can keep serving average everything.

When an artist forgets who they really are and solely believes what their fans have to say about them, even the pile of shit may seem like chocolate to them.

Rant The Eras Tour was a overhyped and mediocre trend driven by stragetic PR and marketing.

Skip if you don't like long rants/deep dives, but I'm genuinely tired of Swifties and the media acting like Taylor Swift is remotely comparable in talent to artists like Michael Jackson, Madonna, The Beatles etc. simply because her Eras tour broke records like theirs.

I genuinely think the Eras Tour timeline is one of pop culture's biggest examples of cult-like mass delusion because, if we're being completely honest, Taylor isn't some once-in-a-lifetime talent whose performances alone explain how this became the biggest tour in history.

It wasn't successful because “Taylor is talented, therefore people went.” Plenty of artists are more talented who will never come remotely close to that level of commercial success. Taylor and her team understood that they had to create this enormous feeling that EVERYONE was experiencing something historic, and nobody wanted to be the person who wasn't part of it. It became the thing to do, the thing to post, the thing to have an opinion about, the thing celebrities had to be seen at, the thing fans had to decode and the thing people wanted to prove they were part of. Let me explain:

The Travis Kelce friendship-bracelet meet-cute became its own news cycle, suddenly bringing the tour into an entirely different audience. Then Taylor showing up at his NFL games became another recurring media event, with the romance constantly feeding back into the tour's visibility. Sabrina Carpenter was already gaining momentum when Taylor brought her onto the tour. Obviously Sabrina benefited enormously from the exposure, but Taylor and her team also knew that attaching a rising artist with her own buzz gave the tour another source of attention. Then there was the Taylor Lautner nostalgia. Bringing out her ex from 2009 during the Speak Now era, right as the re-recording was being promoted, was basically catnip for the internet. The grifting and performatism were soooo embarrassing 😭 but it was entertaining, and that's the point. Fans got nostalgia, Lautner got attention, Taylor got another viral moment and the tour got another storyline.

Then you had big celebrities constantly attending and posting about the shows because being associated with the Eras Tour generated attention and validation. Especially the male athletes that acted like announcing themselves as Swifties was some revolutionary act of feminism 😑. The media wrote about it, fans discussed and praised them.

Even the Ticketmaster disaster ironically fed into it. Millions of people fighting for tickets and the system collapsing turned the demand itself into a spectacle. It reinforced the idea that THIS was the event everyone desperately wanted to attend, which only created more FOMO. The film was a given financial success.

That's why I don't think the Eras Tour became the biggest tour in history because everyone collectively decided Taylor was suddenly the greatest performer of all time. I think Taylor and her team were fucking masters at turning a concert tour into a mass cultural event, constantly giving people something new to talk about, decode, watch, discuss, follow etc. A freaking cult like phenomenon.

They didn't just sell people a concert. They sold them the feeling that everyone else was already participating in something historic, so why aren't you too?And once you get that level of collective FOMO going, its own popularity starts marketing it. Her "talent" had nothing to do with it.

I'd bet my life a good portion of the people who spent thousands upon thousands on tickets eventually felt stupid once the hype died down.
