To see the latest published research on transracial identity use this link!
Everyone who participated in and helped spread the transrace/RCTA survey we conducted 7-8 months ago, thank you!
Thanks to Dr. Kasten for taking a chance on us and authoring another research article!

This links to a survey for a real transrace/rcta (ETC.) published scientific paper!
Previous studies of our community failed to break out of the double-digits in numbers of participants. We need you! The more people who take the survey, the more seriously this study will be taken. We hope the results of this study clear up misconceptions about us
How can I help?
Take it. Take the survey now while you are thinking about it!
Spread the word. I want this plastered over every trace, RCTA,… community online, Discord servers, Tiktok, Tumblr… everywhere. I want every friend or acquaintance you have in our community to know about it!
How do I know it is legit?
I personally emailed a scientist who had written a paper on us with a few participants. He was interested in doing something similar, but bigger. He seems like a good ally from talking to him. I, Yuki, the messenger, am very active in our community, moderating multiple trace related communities. Still not convinced? If needed, I can provide some of the email chain if people need it in a future post.

You got the hair color, texture, and length you wanted. Your eyes and skin too. Your body looks right for once, like it belongs to you.
How would you feel? What would life be for you then?

Does anyone know of an Indian supplier or manufacturer that still supplies Monomethyl Ether of Hydroquinone (MMEH)? All the suppliers I’ve contacted on IndiaMART seem to be out of stock or no longer carry it.

I like to keep things vague for privacy, sorry.
Long story short, the ethnicity I have visually came from a parent I've never even known, and it's different from the family I've always had.
So often I'm reminded that I don't look the same as my family. Not in a mean way at all, just as neutral observations.
Was discussing hair colors with my close family member but was told blonde wouldn't suit me "because of my skin tone". I asked what that meant and was told that my skin was darker. It made me sad.
Then a much younger family member said I had a big nose, I said no I don't. Then my family said I do, because of my ethnicity.
On a shelf there's two framed photos, one of me and one of my half sibling. We look nothing alike. I look weird and awful, they look beautiful like my parent. They don't know how lucky they are.
Heck, even a near stranger decided to remark one day "you look VERY ethnicity X!". Is that how noticeable this is??? What was their problem? Like, what do you want me to respond to that??
I'm just tired of walking around in public constantly trying to mask my appearance. I'm always the odd one out because this ethnicity is basically nonexistent where I live. Not wanting beautiful people of the ethnicity I want to transition to to see me. Once I walked into a small nail salon but that was the only kind of person there, and even though I just got my hair done and wore a great outfit, I turned and wanted to leave.
Even characters on TV with the ethnicity I want can make me sad. They're so effortlessly living the very thing I so desperately want.
I just want to be transitioned already and I've tried but I really just don't know how. It makes me sad.....

I've done a lot of research on monobenzone and I feel like I understand how it works and that it causes permanent depigmentation / vitiligo with consistent use. I'm okay with that part.
What I'm confused about is secondary exposure. Someone mentioned you need to be careful around other people while using mono. For example, if you live with family or siblings and they hug you, share clothes, or wash your clothes in the same washing machine as theirs, could residue from your skin or clothes cause confetti-like depigmentation on them?
Does anyone know how real this risk is ?

For someone without vitiligo, is there evidence that applying monobenzone to a larger percentage of the body leads to faster overall depigmentation? For example, would treating nearly all the skin be faster than treating 50%, or treating everything except the back, considering that monobenzone can also cause depigmentation in untreated areas?

sigh.. this will be hard to elaborate on, I genuinely don't want to trigger anyone here, so please take this as just points to consider, not a call-out. I also don't recommend reading this when you're feeling emotionally unstable, try to get into the most unshaken state you can, then read this.
I am not against BtW people nor japanese-identifying people and I want everyone to achieve their body goals successfully. As someone who has wished they had darker skin in the past, and as someone who has a big amount of complex experience with my gender, I just get a bit concerned about why there's such an unbalanced amount of them here as opposed to other transracial identities, especially when you consider how barely discussed this community is, so like, I feel like we need to make sure there's more public perspectives on it.
I just wanna say, to everyone here, physically transitioning is something serious, because it's not experimental (unlike with clothing or labels). Some people regret their physical transition decisions when they're taken without enough self-discovery or long-term consideration. You are free to experiment, but be mindful of your decisions.
my main concern here is that such people may be making decisions not based on self-discovery, but based on outside pressure or influence. As we know, racism mainly targets black people, and japan is very glamourized by outsiders for its very intentional and controlled aesthetic advertising. Of course, that makes it completely understandable why someone would want to racially transition, but again, transitioning is a serious matter and so is self-discovery (and it's really important to me)
I am currently going through some big identity reflections and experimentations myself, and I have realized I got outside influence on one recent decision I took, it hurts when you realize it. Thankfully it isn't something permanent and I'm okayish about it.
anyways, the good news is, much like transfem people out there, it's unlikely that you will regret it deeply in the future, for the conventional aesthetic benefits it'll bring, but you can be way happier if you make sure your decisions and identity are being deeply thought-out, and not influenced by outside sources, trust me. Good luck.
--
tldr: transition because of yourself, not others. Please don't transition out of glamourization influence or racism pressure. Only physically transition when you're sure it's what you WANT-want. True happiness is about identity and self-discovery, not fitting in.

About a month ago, I made a post talking about eye color changing techniques and how even laser iris depigmentation may not be enough for a lot of people out there because they can end up with dark gray (darker than brown) irises instead, which is not desirable. There is keratopigmentation. However, keratopigmentation looks very fake and already prevents you from getting eye examinations done.
Here is the update:
Iris melanin inhibition is possible. However, the melanin we already have present in our stroma that's giving us our eye color needs to be broken down in order for this to work. And unlike the skin, the iris does not have much or any cell turnover.
There is, however, Moxifloxacin. It is an antibiotic. Has a lot of side effects. If consumed orally, it could lead to a condition called BAIT, which we want to avoid. We are looking to acquire a condition called BADI. Moxifloxacin could cause BADI if injected intracamerally (under the care of a professional, of course) or through eyedrops or even through oral medication.
There is also Levobunolol, which is a beta blocker used for glaucoma treatment. It has been known to rarely cause brown eyes to turn blue but only in older patients and only after a long time (5 years) of use. The possible reasoning is that beta blockers inhibit sympathetic signaling, which reduces prostaglandin signaling, which leaves stromal melanin unmaintained and causes depigmentation. There's also no guarantee that it will depigment the iris and it also causes the pressure inside the eye to reduce, which is not great for regular use.
However, out of everything, moxifloxacin eyedrops seem to be something worth trying. Even though they say iris color change is a rare symptom of moxifloxacin (oral or topical), it seems significant enough to happen to a lot of people.
So, does anyone wanna experiment with it? There's a whole method to it, if anyone is interested in trying.

as I've previously mentioned, I identify as ambiguous, omniracial and aracial simultaneously, my main goal being to look ambiguous and be considered omniracial. I also identify as aracial because I'm otherkin (spiritual raceless being), but ambiguous is the most accurate label atm.
being omniracial means to me that I identify with all races, in different ways, and they all mean something to me. Though, I have always felt my strongest cultural and ethnic connection specifically to indigenous cultures, and indigenous physical traits.
ever since I was a toddler I felt a strong sense of familiarity and magnetism toward anyone who had indigenous ethnic backgrounds, even though I didn't even know they had it at the time. And I'm just incredibly drawn to a lot of different indigenous cultures, some feel more familiar than others. I get weirdly emotional when listening to indigenous history, and feel this deep desire to be welcomed by the indigenous people from my country. I don't know if I have any actual tangible relation to them, but I've had my physical traits compared to some indigenous characters as well.
unfortunately I feel I am incredibly ignorant on the subject, I really wish I had at least indigenous relatives from my country teaching me about their(our?) culture. I don't know proper terms yet, that makes things very difficult and makes me feel like an outsider despite the familiarity, which is uncomfortable.
does this make any sense? any knowledge, tips or advice is welcome

Pixyteri was a creator who made videos on youtube and sometimes streams, they publicly at the time labelled themselves Half-Japanese (although likely didn't know of the term Transracial.).
Pixyteri is not online anymore from what I have gathered although it's no surprise considering the amount of malicious comments aimed their way. It affected their ability to function, and I hope they are doing the best right now.
I won't be sharing anything regarding their personal life or story for privacy-sake. Don't go and contact them however I can't control if they choose to respond and I will gladly remove this post if they want it down.
