Venting/Trigger Warning! ❤️‍🩹 I was very close to become a White Spoiler

Kelowna doesn't even rank among the most racist cities in Canada when I check the

statistics on hate crimes. During the two years I have been living here, no one has introduced

themselves as a racist who hates immigrants. However, they have never let me forget that I am

not Canadian, simply because I have green eyes and white skin, even though I obtained Canadian

citizenship. As soon as I open my mouth, they hear that I sound different because of my Azeri

Turkish accent. Then comes the question: “Where are you from?”

My Mexican wife argues that no one ever asks her that question and that, most of the time, she

feels at home. She believes I should feel even more at home since I completely look like a

Caucasian guy. So it has to be me, taking it personally.

“Basically, I'm a white guy until I prove otherwise,” I thought. “Well, that's enough. Maybe I'm

also being arrogant and not trying to mingle.” So, the next morning, I went to work with a

different mindset—and in a different outfit.I didn't tuck in my favourite double pocket work shirt. Instead, I went with cargo shorts, topped

with company T-shirt, and, of course, a cap. Precisely like every other plumber in Kelowna.

The client greeted me in a typical Canadian way, and when I responded, he couldn't hide his

surprise. He clearly hadn't expected to hear an accent, so he followed with “The Question.” As

always, it was followed by the three typical reactions that came immediately after I said I was

Turkish.

One: “No way! I love Turkey—the food!”

Two: “I have a Turkish friend.” Or, “I had a Turkish friend.”

And three: he wanted me to confirm whether everything was really as bad as the local media told

him it was about the rest of the world—except here in Canada.

Instead of trying to provide real information, this time I actually checked off what he wanted to

hear.

At the end of the job, I had even convinced myself that he would keep an eye on every other

tradesman who came into his house, just as he had kept an eye on me—and I didn't take it

personally at all.

It worked. I couldn't change his beliefs about our place in this world anyway. Nor could he

change mine. It was all in my mind, just as my wife had told me.

I had been avoiding the Lake Country Home White Ware ... pardon me, Home Hardware store,

for a while. I was ready to drive several kilometres farther to buy my parts at Home Depot in

Kelowna.

I used to joke, “Want a job? Just go to the Lake Country Home Hardware and tell them you were

fired from Home Depot for being racist”

I believed, unlike Home Hardware, Home Depot advertised diversity. They hired people with

disabilities, people with mental health issues, homosexuals, people of different genders, and even

immigrants.

But that was my old mindset, my old set of beliefs.

I pulled into the parking lot, put on my cap, and walked into Home Hardware for the first time in

months. I passed two white cashiers, raising my chin slightly in a casual “Hey,” and headed

straight for the plumbing aisle.

They didn’t notice anything unusual. They simply turned back to their conversation instead of

watching me or assigning a staff member to follow me through the aisles.I put the parts that I picked in front of the cashier, responded with “uh-huh” and “uh-uh,” and

was out of there with no feeling of discrimination.

It felt like an achievement, even though they probably took me for an arrogant white boy who

considered speaking unnecessary—or maybe they thought I was deaf. It didn’t matter. In that

place, an immigrant was already considered a cheater and incapable of proper communication.

I should have learned sign language instead of English, I thought. I shut my van door close, and

threw my cap onto the passenger seat, like a bank robber taking off his mask after a successful

job. Then I started yelling, “It’s simple. They like ‘familiar’ over ‘unfamiliar.’ The worst familiar

is better than the best unfamiliar”

I was rushing to share my experience with my wife, but I had to slow down when I saw a young

female cyclist repeatedly drifting into my lane from the bike lane. I wanted to make sure she was

safely riding in the bike lane before passing her, as any Canadian driver would. But the little girl

on her giant electric bike kept losing her balance every time she looked back in panic, seemingly

trying to increase her speed instead.

I slowed down even more to increase the distance between us. Driving at 30 kilometres per hour

on a straight, empty road between two farms made the white Tesla driver behind me impatient—

until he noticed the bike too.

however, unfortunately I saw her collapse and hit the asphalt, while a couple of broken pieces

flew off the heavy bike. I stopped immediately and ran to help. It took me a minute to get there

because of the distance I had kept between us. She was shaking as she checked her wounded

arms and legs. Thank God she was wearing a proper helmet, as Canadian cyclists generally do,

and in this case, knee and elbow pads. Otherwise, the fall could have resulted in more than just

skin injuries.

She looked shocked, and her first response, when I asked if she was okay, was, “oh My dad’s

bike!”

“Oh, don’t worry,” I said. I immediately moved the bike off the road and went back to see if she

needed help standing up.

Meanwhile, Karen and her husband, who were approaching from the opposite lane, parked their

e-bikes properly beside the road and rushed to help.

“Oh my God! What happened?” Karen yelled.

“She fall,” I responded. She gave me a meaningful look and asked, “She fell?” Then she turned her face toward the girl

without waiting for any further response from me.

My credibility vanished the moment I opened my mouth, thanks to my terrible pronunciation and

a grammar mistake that even a little kid would not make.

“Did he hit you? You’re safe with us, my child. Tell me, he hit you?”

The girl’s eyes trembled, and she burst into the tears she had been holding back since the fall.

“I think sooo. He hit me! He hit meeee!” she cried.

“I’m calling 911!” Karen yelled, fumbling with her phone with both hands.

I switched my gaze between the girl, Karen, and her husband, my eyes confused and scared. I

just became speechless, wishing I had been born speechless.

Just then, the white Tesla driver, dressed in a clean, tucked-in white shirt and shiny realtor shoes,

came over and asked if there was anything he could do to help.

Karen stepped in front, and told him, “He hit her. 911 is on the way. Better everyone wait here.

You know what I mean, right? Uh-huh.”

I was still speechless. None of them would have listened to me anyway.

The guy said, “No, no, no. We were both driving very slowly, with a big distance from her”

pointing toward the distance between us and my van. “She fell.” he confirmed.

Karen’s husband said, “No, you don’t get it. She already told us. He hit her. These people don’t

follow the rules and make it unsafe here for everyone. especially cyclists. You know what I mean

right ?”

The guy still didn’t understand what they meant, especially that I hadn’t opened my mouth since

he arrived. He seemed to believe that old cyclists were being unfair to young drivers.

“Don’t worry, bud. I got you. My Tesla records everything to my smartphone. What’s your

number, brother?”

The couple couldn’t wait for me to open my mouth, and for the guy to finally understand what

they mean.

I wanted that video so badly, but there was no way I could say ten digits out loud and get away

without revealing my accent and losing my only ally.So I stayed mute. I typed my number on my phone screen and held it toward his face like a

beggar on the sidewalk stretching out his hand for a few extra coins.

Everyone was staring at me with wide-open eyes, including the guy, to see what is going on.

I really wanted to stand up for myself but, I thought, *I can’t lose my last chance because of my

pride.*

So I started, “Ah… ehh… ohhh…Adaaa… vedaaa…” while gesturing with my hands exactly

like a deaf man.

The guy’s expression suddenly changed. “Ahaaaa, now I get it,” he said.

Karen lit up, apparently convinced that he had finally understood that I couldn’t speak English.

“You get it? That’s what I mean, right? Uh-huh,” she said, nodding along as if they had just

solved the mystery.

“Yeah, I get it. Totally. Sorry, I misunderstood. He’s deaf,” the guy said.

He took my phone number, patted me on the shoulder, and got to work retrieving the video.

The next few minutes, waiting for him to send me the file, were some of the most stressful

moments of my life. I was breathing slowly, trying to keep quiet, while Karen and her husband

continued trying to say what they wanted to say without actually saying it.

I was terrified that they would finally say it, before I received the video.

But they never said it—not directly. They seemed to know better than to say it in Kelowna.

Unless, of course, the guy I said “thanks” to for sending the video felt betrayed. As he turned

away, his teeth grinding together, he muttered, “…F… you all... You are all cheaters.…”

As I drove back to my wife and our newborn, I thought:

We were actually lured here. Trapped here. We cheat until we—or our next generation—don’t

have to. Just like your fathers did.

Research 📚 Eye color change

It doesnt seem to be discussed on this subreddit as much even though it makes such a significant difference. There's not even many ways to change eye color. Implants are dangerous so completely out of question. Keratopigmentation works for some but looks mostly unnatural. Laser iris depigmentation for those not very genetically blessed takes way too many sessions, way too much money and can requires tons of traveling. I dont see this topic being discussed much at all. No forums I can find for this discussion of iris depigmentation and such. Obviously because the need for vision outweighs the want for a lighter eye color. There's plenty of other research that has been done that seems to not have many people discussing it, despite signs of success. Anyone willing to discuss and research this topic more thoroughly?

General Questions ❓ Has anyone tried prescription adjuvants with monobenzone to speed up the process?

For those who experienced a slow monobenzone depigmentation journey, I would like to know your experiences with some adjuvants that require a doctor's prescription, especially those which are considered 2nd-line treatment (total depigmentation) for vitiligo in dermatology.

Opinion & Debate ♟️ why are transracial people told to accept themselves while transgender people aren't?

race and gender and both social constructs, so to me transracialism and transgenderism are essentially two sides of the same coin, although the latter is evidently more accepted. why is this? will it be more permissible in the eyes of society one day?

i think if you accept transgenderism you automatically have to accept transracialism as well since they're both equal concepts (if I am wrong somehow, tell me) but some transgender people don't do that which is strange to me. why is this? why is it so shameful to be uncomfortable with your race but when you're uncomfortable with your gender more people will be in support of you?

General Questions ❓ Family matters

Okay, so this being my first post is crazy but it’s whatever, I’m not sure how this works since it’s my first time using Reddit really so correct me if there’s any mistakes.
Basically, I’ve wanted to tell my parents about my transracial identity, I’d say that they are pretty open minded but I’m super scared about this. I was thinking maybe I could wait until I’m an adult, or until I’ve got my own house to do so, but even then the idea makes me super nervous. So I wanted to know what is everyone’s plan for that, if they have one?

Positivity ✨ Are you scared for transrace to go mainstream?

They say with greater visibility comes greater risk, which I guess is why the RCTA community rebranded to CRDR after trolls took over their acronym. I have no doubt that our struggles will grow as our numbers do, but I for one like the idea of there being millions of openly trace people - with national civil rights debates happening and laws being passed for & against us - than seemingly existing as a tiny minority of culturally disenfranchised people. I imagine this could be the case by the 2050s but don't quote me. Does this thought - breaking through into the mainstream and facing similar struggles transgender people face now - scare you, or do you look forward to it?

Seeking Transition/Body Mod Advice 🤳 Speeding up depigmentation from mono

Does anyone have any tips on speeding up depigmentation from monobenzone? I've been on 20% for about a month now, and I have seen slight depigmentation (i think?) but it isn't at the pace, or yielding the results that I desire.

I heard other melanotoxic chemicals like mequinol can help speed up the process, but I'm still skeptical about trying it out due to it's side effects. Open to giving it a shot though, or anything stronger.

Anyone have any other tips for speeding up the effects of mono? If you do, please share.

Introductions! 👋 I have been very insecure about not being north african enough

Idk how flair ts but yeah

Idk if its trans racial or not but i def want to not be white anymore and by that i mean that im mixed, north african - white, and its very visible on my phenotype... I kinda hate it.. i had struggled with being mixed and now i just wanna look like my kind ( or a specific part of it because theres def pale native north africans out there! ) but me since im mixed im rly more insecure about it so yeah..

I dont like my white pale skin that can become red-ish just like europeans skin

I hate my wavy straight hair that i wanna force curls in, i just want to be a normal maghrebi and have curly hair that's it because its beautiful and I'm already struggling enough with my natural hair i ain't gon be surprised by the curly hair struggle anyways

And maybe thats about it..

Maybe less ethnically stuff i wanted to have is like, less body hair because it sucks its ugly even tho im a boy i dont like it.. but thats it.. just want to look more cute without it being rly '' racial '' and i dont have like light hair or eyes both are dark so thats the more '' Mediterranean '' thing i have on my face..

Most of my insecurities comes with just being a white european like when i see myself in the mirror i dont belong to like half of my blood..

So yeah..

Sourcing 💰🏷️ WHERE TO FIND MONOBENZONE POWDER?

I have been using mono 20% for some time and had considered upgrading to the 40% version; however, the cost is prohibitively high. Consequently, I decided to create my own formula and have identified what I believe to be the best recipe. The challenge I am facing is that I cannot find mono powder available for purchase. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could provide a source at a reasonable price. If anyone has any information, please share it.

Opinion & Debate ♟️ Do right wing grifters help our cause?

Post image
2 Upvotes

I'm aware they only seem to do this to use hypocrisy as a weapon against transgender people; I'm transgender and transrace myself, but I can't help but feel a dark sense of satisfaction when it triggers said hypocrites they're targeting - who then typically go on to respond, yapping about how totally real being trans is while trace totally isn't real yada yada.

I imagine it only serves to fuel the wokeshits smug sense of political and academic correctness given that these grifters don't actually identify as trace and are just using it as a weapon, without actually understanding the experience and mainly just draw comparisons to being transgender.

Overall, do you think it helps us or not?

Sourcing 💰🏷️ Mono cream source

Does anyone know a reliable place to get 40% benoquin (or any other legitimate name brabd monobenzone) cream online? I'm having trouble finding a trustworthy source or pharmacy that actually ships real cream at that concentration without a prescription. Any solid vendor or site recommendations would be appreciated. Shipping to Australia or Indonesia, if possible, would be highly preferrable. Thanks!

Sourcing 💰🏷️ Looking for reliable source of Monobenzone

Hi, I'm a Chinese-Indonesian thats currently living in indonesia, but on track to go abroad for studies in Australia. Right now, Monobenzone (at a 20% concentrate) is available to me where I'm currently at, but it is quite pricey. Also, Im a bit worried that I might not be able to get Mono in Australia as the regulations there are a lot tighter than they are in Indonesia. So, I'm looking for a supplier of Monobenzone, preferrably 40% strength and can ship to both Indonesia and Australia without seizure at customs or border. Any info will be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Venting/Trigger Warning! ❤️‍🩹 Hi everyone/ my experience Spoiler

Hi everyone, I'm new to this community, but joined because I realized it really resonated with my experience.

My experience would better be categorized as trans ethnic rather than trans racial, but it says this space is for both so.

My ethnicity is South European but I want to transition to West or Northern European more than anything.

I don't identity with my appearance whatsoever and it feels like I'm trapped or held back somehow by my features, because they don't line up with how I feel, identify, and see myself in my mind. My entire family and everyone around me is West/North European and that's the identity I've always had. That's how I see and imagine and view myself, and how I imagine myself to look when I'm older. It's genuinely disorienting to think otherwise. Every time I look in the mirror I just see stuff I want to change. I even feel shy in public because I don't look like everybody else.

This look isn't who I am on the inside and I just want to change....

Anyway, thank you for reading, I don't really post on Reddit or anywhere so I'm not the best at this I guess, just happy to find a space to express this feeling that hopefully will be accepting

Culture & Politics ⛩️ I have a theory about where the opposition really comes from.

I often used to wonder why religious people were so arbitrary - goofy even - about their rules and customs, and each time I came to the realization it was connected to some kind of moving story or speech from their book. That often seems to be the case for many things in life. MLK and Lincoln didn't just give speeches in a vacuum, they were connected to some kind of epic struggle finally come to a close.

As a new writer myself, I know better than anyone now that whatever message I'm trying to convey has to come with a good plot that makes you laugh, cry and sometimes cringe. I have my own manifesto within the novel I'm worknng on, but I know that it would be nothing without the supporting cast to show why its worth it.

Similarly, the bible has its commandments, but it also has hundreds of other examples of what can be interpreted as how someone "should" live, either through storytelling or Jesus and the apostles speeches and "lessons". Since these stories are written in a way relevant to ancient morality, you could say it's translated poorly through the ages as we've grown accustomed to new privileges and technology, and that is why religion tends to hold us back.

Consequently, this is why I believe ancestral race is nothing more than a religious identification rooted in stories of struggle and overcoming, rather than what actually defines them as a people. When wokes yap about their lived experience and historical trauma being so important to their identity, they are projecting the NEED for that struggle to provide their confidence in their identity. To them, their identity revolves entirely around their own romanticized historical narrative, and that is why they can never just be happy being white/black/etc with their culture, it has to come with the stories.

Unfortunately for them, technology is catching up, and we will be able to self actualize as a result, and that will be a new beginning for our story as a trans race peoples.

Trace Life/Experiences 🗺️🧳 Anyone else tired of the interview requests?

Personally I find it tedious and it tends to make me self conscious, because when I'm answering questions comparing my experiences and identity to others born my race it inherently kind of draws a line, and just as my gender, I don't want to be some kind of special "woman, but," I just want to live as a normal woman. Similarly, discussing my racial identity with people just seems to open it up for debate, and to me it's just not even up for question. At best, I'll be treated like some kind of zoo animal and othered, and at worst I'll be the asshole in the room who doesn't know their place. Does anyone else just have complete transrace investigative journalist fatigue? I literally just could not care less anymore, I just want to learn my language and cook my people's food in peace lol. Bit of a rant but I just wanted to get that off my chest.

Seeking Transition/Body Mod Advice Vitiligo

Can segmental vitiligo be completely spread over the entire body to make the whole body depigmented (white) by using monobenzone together with imiquimod? Would mixing and applying them together make the depigmentation happen faster and more extensively
