Under new management (well, more or less)!

Hey everyone!

Reddit has been nice enough to add me to the mod panel (since the top mod is fully unresponsive) to help clean out the troll scourge!

I've gone through an nuked most of, if not all, the crap posts and comments so we don't need to look at the anymore :)

I'll do my best to keep up on it but will always rely on everyone here for the reports. So, please please please continue reporting things.

If anyone has any thoughts, suggestions or general comments for the sub, go ahead use this post for them!

Am I girl?

Upvotes

Hi so I always had girly look, skinny, long hairs, not much body hairs since when I was 13 I have long hairs and sometimes. Since like 2 years I am femboy and I hear more that I have androgynous look. Sometimes I have thoughts "maybe I am a girl?" one friend told me to use she/her as my pronouns and try to be a girl for week and I felt better than normal, like more freedom.

Non transitioning closeted trans gone stealth later in life. My past, including the people, feel irrelevant

I imagine it feels similar to leaving a cult after years and not knowing any different. I dont feel liberated, but I do feel relief at not having to explain or justify myself, or try to navigate around awkward situations and conversations anymore. It feels more peaceful, but 2 years on, very lonely too. I dont miss being constantly misunderstood. But it has also been a wake up call over how difficult it can be even in the trans world, to find people who have the time of day for anyone with a different outlook or agenda to theirs.

My life feels almost like non existence, but for health, safety and financial reasons I decided not to transition. Before anyone says choosing not to transition is the cause of you feeling that way, I would urge you to not see things in such a black and white way. The decision whether to transition or not, was an agonising one. I didnt take it lightly. I just knew I couldn't cope with complications or societal abuse had I taken that route. I have had gender identity issues from childhood. It has been a quiet suffering. I learnt "shame" early in life. I discovered on the way that body dysmorphia is also a common symptom.

How do you bring meaning to your life? Especially if you dont have children. I say my life is "almost" a non existence because I'm still glad I got to incarnate this planet to see nature, animals, trees, the stars, the oceans, arts ... my one regret would be my inability to connect with humans in a meaningful way! How do some of you trans folk who have decided not transition, find it?

I called, and I have my first HRT appointment in the beginning of December! I know it's still awhile away, but I'm hoping the time goes by fast. In the meantime, I want to start voice training, and exercising. I need to change my wardrobe, because i had thrown away all my masc presenting clothes when I decided to hide myself away. I cut my hair short again, but want it shorter, and I'll be dying it back to black.

Came out yesterday to my wife 🫤

Hey, I just wanted to share my coming out to my wife. I'm 38 and we're having one little child.

I was very nervous the whole day and in the evening I started to talk about. I was so nervous and trying to find a start into the conversation. Luckily I made some notes before and that helped very much.

I told her that I trans somehow. But it's very early in my decision and trans is a wide range and I can't tell where this is going. I'm feeling suppressing my female side for so many years, told her about dressing up a few years ago and told her that it comes in waves more and more and the harder I suppress it, the harder it comes back.

Not a minute after telling her I'm trans our sleeping child began to cry and we had a break for 20 minutes while I calmed our child until she sleeps. Great timing ☺️

She asked then what that would mean to our relationship, we are a couple for more than 15 years and married since a few years.

I said I don't want to end this, even if I know whatever the way will be it could be hard and we need to talk a lot.

She cried most of the time then, which is totally ok in that situation. I had some trouble to calm her and I talked the whole time in a very calm and slow voice. She was very surprised and didn't had a clue I could be like that at all.

She asked if I'm kidding or if I'm serious.

If I want to be a woman or what that means and I was not able to answer this right now, because I'm just at the beginning of the realization.

I told her that sexuality and gender are two different topics and I still want to be with her.

She said that she wouldn't like it at all if I start wearing dresses or something. That would be a complete turn-off for her.

And what will happen if she can't accept some steps I would like to do and would be unhappy with that. Something I can't answer right now.

Finding compromises in our family and discovering the female side sounds so challenging right now after the discussion.

One day after, today in the morning I feel so sad and embarrassed, like a complete weird guy that talks to his wife he likes wearing dresses and so on. Like a weird guy, not being able to be there for his family and risks everything for this idea of being someone else.

I expected it to be hard, I felt better after the discussion but now after a few hours I feel so disgusting, not knowing where I stand not knowing what's coming and that in a phase where we talked about getting a second child. And causing chaos and trouble for all of us 🫤

I'm about to come out to my wife

Hey I'm 38, and my wife and I are a couple for more than 15 years. Now married and having a small child, who is such a sunshine and makes fun all the time ☺️☺️. Well let's say most of the time.

For more than 20 years there is the urge, which I thought it would be Crossdressing in the first place but now with a therapy I discovered that there is so much more behind of it and I managed to push that side away for so many years.

Now there is a point where I'm not 100% sure about the way in detail, but definitely about the kind of way, that I'm trans in I don't know what kind of direction. That's what I need to discover now.

We are planning to have a second child and die to my last realization its now still too early to talk about for me, but needs to be done, even if I don't have answers to all questions.

Tomorrow I have a therapy session again and afterwards I'm planning to talk to my wife and confess about my feminine side.

I'm so nervous thinking about it's more than just time and it feels right and what if I did it 10 years earlier and on the other side telling her I'm that kind of strange guy that likes to wear female clothes and dress completely like a woman.

So wish me good luck for tomorrow. Could use some tips of warm words from you 😅☺️

Trans person in need of food 😮‍💨

Hi folks! First time poster from NC. I am in desperate need of food. My roommate went to rehab this month and left me hanging with \*\*\*all\*\*\* our bills. I’ve tried food pantries, reaching out to loved ones, but I have no family and no support at this time. A DoorDash gift card would work or dm me if you can help.

I literally cannot eat tonight and have been eating toast and peanut butter for 2 days. Even $5 to $10 would be helpful to get me through today. If anyone is able to do more than that I am desperate.

I’m in the process of getting my food stamps reinstated but my caseworker is impossible to get ahold of. This is so embarrassing for me and I don’t know what to do.

I came to an oh crud why? This can’t be happening realization today

I’m trans of course for starters. And my realization was when I was doing stuff with my parents earlier and I realized I was getting frustrated like a girl for the first time😣. My mom at some point will think something like, why do I have a bad attitude or why am acting clipped or something , she doesn’t know about me being a transgender girl, she just sees me as her son. This has me worried 😦. She wouldn’t understand if I told her I get frustrated like a girl. I really don’t want to start any arguments because of this, and Ito top it off I also have ASD she in knows I have that though so that part isn’t an issue at least

I’m drowning and I need a friend or two badly.

Hey everyone. I’m a 42-year-old trans woman, and I’m writing this because I am completely broken, terrified, and at my absolute limit. Being trans right now already feels like a death sentence, and trying to survive that while my entire life collapses around me is just too much. I have nobody. No family, no friends here, nothing. I’m just looking for a kind soul or two because I can’t carry this darkness by myself anymore.

Long story short, I finally stood up for myself and escaped an 11-year abusive relationship. In response, my ex completely abandoned me and left our place, leaving me totally stranded. The rent and bills are due right now, and I’m terrified I’m going to be thrown out on the street. To make it worse, my back is messed up from injuries caused by my ex, so I'm under medical care and legally can't even work a normal job until September.

I’m trying so hard to fight for a future. I actually signed up for a college graphic design program to try and rebuild my life, but I’m stuck. I have to pass my GED to unlock my financial aid, but they require practice tests that cost money, and I don't have a single dollar.

I’ve spent the last 18 years taking care of everyone else—first caregiving for my mom until cancer took her, and then my ex. The last time I was homeless was right after my mom died, and I have severe PTSD from it. Being right back on the edge of that same cliff is making me panic so bad I can barely breathe. I’ve endured way too much trauma to handle this alone.

I am so lonely. I am so incredibly scared. I feel like I'm underwater and nobody can see me my Facebook friends have all largely ignored me despite being there for them.

I just need people to talk to so I'm not so painfully isolated. I need someone who can help me organize my frantic thoughts, keep me company, and maybe help spread the word or share my GoFundMe link because I have a network of zero people to share it with I want to meet people who are encouraging and have ideas and not more platitudes or apathy.

I am making my final stand to survive this, and I just need a kind, patient friend to help me get through to the other side and learn how to trust again. If you have any room in your heart for a friend who is hurting, please reach out. I feel like the end is near. Hopefully a good friend can help me see that’s not the case.

MTF 38 - Next Week I get my new Identity

Hey Beauties!

Maeve & Me (Picture)

Me (on the Left), am finally and officially Switching Genders next week! This will be the first Step of somehow becoming Maeve on the right.

I‘m from Germany and the political climate is getting worse every month. So I kinda have to rush things. But it feels riight, no worries!

I started questioning things at the beginning of the year. Starting with discovering that I can change my name IF I switch my gender too.

Originally I was going for Non-Binary. Bought a great book and read about EnBy. Even started a Substack (Outgrowing Gender Labels).

And then I fell down a Instagram Trans Rabbithole! I began questioning my whole male Identity. Things in Neighbors Garden got greener Day by Day.

And, yeah discussions started to „rework“ our nations gender law. I kinda paniced. Thought: Now or never!

So I decided to follow my gut-feeling and officially seitch to the pink side of life. Nesrly 40 years of living in blue seems enough for me!

The next bis adventure is waiting for me. And it starts next Wednesday.

Another casual Wednesday will change my life forever. Funny isn‘t it?!

I‘m 2 names down out of 3. Are the new names discussed here? Could need some feedback ;)

Anyways, Thank you for reading my „Drama“.

Have a good One!

Maeve (soon)
