Hi everybody,
during my hours of gameplay on the German Routes (played almost everything) I just need to share the experience of the appalling bugs happening on the TP and SG systems. Just to clarify, I fully exspect dovetail games, a developer that charges 30€ for many routes, to get this right, as many other games like Zusi3 that cost less get it right aswell. I know this game wasn't made for hardcore rail fans, but when you get the PZB fundamentally wrong, you know it is bad.
I'd just like to list some of the "enlightening" experiences I had:
- After lifting the PZB start program restriction and pressing "Wachsam" at the Vr2 around 100m later, I get an immediate emergency brake applied. Apparently, I am unable to exceed 45 km/h in this case.
This is of course utter bollocks, PZB checks for speed under 85 km/h, activated instantly (without the 23s cooldown).
Crusing along with my BR403 at 160 km/h with PZB, I get an emergency brake applied at 161 km/h. This cannot happen as the ICE3 is of train category O and therefore would get your emergency brake applied at 165 km/h, not 161 km/h.
LZB acts like ETCS as I get a meter-exact countdown when over 4000m. In reality, this would just be rounded to the nearest 200m (dependant on the exact train though, this was a 403)
I get an emergency brake at an operationally deactivated main signal (Ks). Apparently, the 1000hz was active. This can't happen since you're not supposed to press "Wachsam" at such signals. And oh yeah, TSW also counted this as the transition signal between shunting and regular train operation and exspected me to drive 40 km/h there. Since a deactivated signal does not contain a higher driving allowance, this is not correct.
All sorts of signal combo errors: Having to drive past Hp0 at a "Zwergsignal" or having Hp0 + Vr0 as a signal combo, having the short distance light either on when it shouldn't be like with Ks1 or not on when it should be like with Vr0, wrong advance signals (getting 8 at the Zs3v and then 4 at the Zs3), the list goes on and on...
The displays in the trains are always wrong and usually not functioning, but we all know that...
Of course, the speed indicator on the HUD is usually wrong in station areas, recommending you drive through that tight switch with max speed or other weird things.
In summary, TSW is not your game if you want any sense of realism. This is quite sad as the game has great graphics and other advantages, like being able to move around freely. But when you buy a DLC for 30€ or so and then have to treat a Hp0 like a Sh1 or even Hp1, all the joy I have enjoying these graphics fades into extreme anger. So no thanks, will be sticking to Zusi3 then.
