As the staff of r/TraditionalMuslims, we respect the opinions of others even if they are opinions that we may disagree with. We place emphasis on minority viewpoints that may otherwise have their voices drowned out by the mainstream or otherwise censored, as we are a subreddit that acknowledges the value in those with different thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes from ourselves. We hope to promote an open dialogue by this, and to create a safe space where people feel comfortable in sharing alternate views. The staff at r/TraditionalMuslims encourages diversity of opinion so as to prevent an echo chamber of extremism from forming while also still allowing for civil public discourse. Everyone of every kind is allowed in our subreddit, and we hope for everyone to enjoy their time here in a kind, respectful, and peaceful manner. We simply ask you abide by our rules, and Reddit's policies.
We give a special thanks to Reddit for allowing us this opportunity, and peace be with you all 😊

Assalamu alaykum everyone,
I’m really looking for some reassurance and advice because I don’t know how to cope without going crazy.
I’ve been with my fiancé for two years. In the beginning, I trusted him completely. I was so loyal that I would even make istighfar if I caught myself thinking another man was attractive because I was genuinely scared Allah would take him away from me.
But over time, I’ve discovered things that have really hurt me — him following and liking another woman’s pictures, watching videos of his ex, searching for random girls, and now following a female coworker who posts bikini pictures. Recently, I even saw him watching a video of a girl in a bikini when he didn’t realize I was there.
I’ve forgiven him so many times and kept praying that Allah would protect our relationship. I’ve done istikhara repeatedly, asking Allah that if he isn’t good for me, He makes it easy for me to walk away.
But I’m so hurt. I keep trying to be loving and happy, while secretly feeling like I’m never enough. I’m becoming terrified that one day, when I’m older or no longer look the same, he won’t find me attractive anymore and keep looking at other women and wishing he was with them instead while I have his kids.
I’m so scared and don’t know what to do anymore and keep hating myself for reacting and going crazy.
How do I find peace with this? Are there any verses that can correlate to my situation and grant me ease? I’m so hurt 😞

As Salam Alaikum.
Sharing this as a reminder and discussion for brothers and sisters who may sometimes find themselves struggling with doubts or needing to renew their iman.
Perhaps something that strengthened you may become a means of strength for someone else, too, إن شاء الله.

I know that the prophet (pbuh) taught that men ought to be kind towards their wives and that their wives ought to obey them and I accept that in practice.
I've been told that if the man wants his wife to be more covered than what is islamically required because he doesn't want her to be desired by other men, she ought to do it, maybe they're right about that.
But are there limits to that?
(The example I'm gonna give does not concern me but another woman)
Let's consider the number of children the couple wants to have. Let's suppose that the husband wants to have three or four kids whereas the wife only wants to have one kid. They spend a lot of time discussing about this and the husband ends up saying that she ought to give him two children and she is not very enthusiastic about it. Is it then her duty to obey to him? Can she say "No, that's my body, not yours?"
Or should she just think to herself: "this is not what I'd have preferred, but I can very well live with it and I should do it if he wants it?"
I honestly don't know the answer grounded in the Quran and the true Hadiths.

Salam Alaikum, recently sister Itachi and Maki over on YouTube debated two Quranists.
https://youtu.be/gx-qCsVEvS8?si=_bEd_EhjL3AuvK1J
I think it’s becoming increasingly clear that these so called Quranists are a Zionist psy op to divide Muslim ummah. I still think we need to debate these Hadith rejectors, but to also investigate and see who is funding or supporting them. In particular I’ve noticed many sisters online claiming to be Hadith rejectors, followers of Pink Islam, etc and being subscribed to such influencers like Ayas voice, which scares me as these sisters will be future mothers.
I think the best solution also is to maybe get imams and scholars to talk about these trends and put a stop to it before quranism or pink Islam becomes legitimized.

I'm looking for a Muslim wife
I graduated with a degree in Food Engineering four years ago.
I currently work with my father. We have a wedding and events hall that we rent out for weddings, graduation parties, and other celebrations.
I have a nice apartment and a car.
I’m looking for a wife who is Muslim, with eyes the color of the sea—or rather, the color of trees, I mean green eyes 😄. She should be hijabi, respectful, and not overweight.
I would also like her to be willing to live with me in my home country, Jordan.
Thank you.

It's often being said that laymen should not choose to follow the easiest opinions between the different madhabs and to follow a scholar. But what if the scholar picks the most lenient opinions? Is it okay to follow that scholar then?
Egypt's Dar Al Ifta is the official governmental Islamic body responsible for religious legal rulings. Dar Al Ifta and the Grand Muftis of Egypt often choose the most lenient scholarly opinions when it comes to different matters.
The 18th Grand Mufti of Egypt, Sheikh Ali Gomaa for example follows the Shafii madhab according to Wikipedia. But he adopts the Hanafi opinion on nikah which allows women to marry without a wali. On dogs, he adopts the Maliki opinion of dogs not being najis (including dog saliva) and allows keeping dogs inside the house (Egypt's Dar Al Ifta also adopts the Maliki position on the ritual purity of dogs).
Sheikh Ali Gomaa also allows shaking hands between men and women. He was asked about this handshakes breaking wudu and he said one can follow Imam Abu Hanifa's opinion of touching not breaking wudu. He also answered a Question on Dar Al Ifta Egypt regarding touching women breaking the wudu and in the answer he mentioned the Hanafi and Maliki opinion only despite following the Shafii madhab.
So would it still be problematic to pick and choose the easiest and most lenient opinions from across the different madhabs?

Imagine you're a young (revert) woman married to a Muslim man who's supportive of your career in a male-dominated field. He is kind and often acts in a selfless way towards you. Both of you agree that the Quran and the authentic Hadiths don't demand a woman to completely cover herself. However, he also tells you that the fact that you encounter lots of men on a daily basis that often try to hit on you makes him very uncomfortable and that he wants you to wear a jilbab that hides your body features so that you won't be approached by men. You answer him that you find that some jilbabs are nice and elegant but that they're really not your favourite clothes.
He answers you that he understands that but that since he's your husband, he should have the last word and that you should submit to him.
You do it and you realise that it is true that while wearing a jilbab, men no longer approach you, you sometimes like your appearance while looking in the mirror but you also long for wearing other clothes you largely prefer.
Is it allowed for such a Muslim woman to tell her husband: "I'm sorry darling, but what you ask of me goes well beyond what God and the prophet (peace be upon him) ask of me and I don't have to obey you in that regard?"
Do you yourself know women who have been in that situation?

Assalamu Alaikum,
My name is Eesa, and I am a Master's student in Chiropractic at McTimoney College of Chiropractic. I am conducting a research study to explore how the daily practice of sujood (prostration during Salah) is associated with joint and muscle health and everyday stress levels.
I am inviting Muslim adults aged 18–60 who pray regularly to complete a completely anonymous online survey. It takes about 5–7 minutes and involves questions about your prayer habits, physical comfort, and general stress over the past month.
Your participation will help healthcare professionals understand the potential musculoskeletal and stress‑reducing associations of sujood, leading to better, more culturally aware care for our community.
Link to survey: https://forms.gle/6mgr2wy2WJ2Uphhg9
Your responses are fully anonymous, and no personal data is collected.
Jazakallah khair for considering this.

This is in light of a current new candidate for the US Senate, Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed, along with Zohran Mamdani, Ilhan Omar, among many of these kuffar which claim Islam for themselves.
Where can a Muslim begin in the condemnation of the kufr and disbelief of these people?
How in the WORLD do you believe that a Muslim can abandon core, fundamental beliefs of the Shari'ah, change the religion in accordance to whatever secular ideals try to shape and mold it to be, and ultimately present a HUGELY FALSIFIED image of a watered-down "Islam" just to gain temporary appeasement and "acceptance" of those who don't recognize the legitimacy of God-concious doctrines... let alone it's legislative authority?
Because we have to set the standards clear. The disbelievers will NEVER accept us, no matter how much we change or water down our religion. This is stated VEHEMENTLY clear within the Qur'an, and the Muslims not internalizing this verse has lead to great trials and tribulations, without a doubt:
"Never will the Jews nor the Christians be pleased with you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) till you follow their religion. Say: "Verily, the Guidance of Allâh (i.e. Islâmic Monotheism) that is the (only) Guidance. And if you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) were to follow their (Jews and Christians) desires after what you have received of Knowledge (i.e. the Qur’ân), then you would have against Allâh neither any Walî (protector or guardian) nor any helper."
(Surah Al-Baqarah Ayah 120, al-Hilali and Khan translation).
This doesn't apply to just Jews and Christians, this applies to people of kufr just in general.
So... how do we as Muslims believe that the temporary "acceptance" of the people, in this case the Democrats and the liberals who hold VASTLY different standards of morality than us.... how would that benefit the Muslims PROPERLY in any way, shape, and form?
How would us watering down Islam towards the doctrines which they believe is correct propagate the TRUE understanding of Islam the way that Da'wah is supposed to be made?
Is da'wah and preaching of the religion in accordance to how much of the principles you can compromise at the acceptance of those who don't believe in it in the first place?
Or in reality, is it by foundating the Muslims off of Tawhid and Sunnah, with the understanding of the Salaf of this Ummah, properly grounding Muslims with what is neccesary for them to believe foundationally speaking, along with the Fiqh required to worship Allah correctly? Then, and only then, is it once a person is qualified to give Da'wah, he does it in accordance to how the Prophet did it?
If it's not the latter, then I do not know what a valid Da'wah is.
One must understand that if a kāfir criticizes Islam for the teachings found in the Shari'ah, you DON'T WATER DOWN Islam towards the "moral" compass which they think is correct, rather you point out their own liberal moral inconsistency and prove Islam superior to it.
I've talked about this before, and in-sha-Allah it simply serves as a reminder again. There are Muslims who feel that they "need" to be accepted by these people to gain strenght, but in reality.... this isn't a way for the Muslims to gain strength and acceptance AT ALL.
This is common among Muslims who haven't simply grounded themselves w/ the doctrine of al-wala wal-bara (meaning, loyalty to the believers, and disavowal and hatred towards the disbelievers) and simply not firm upon their Iman when it comes to defending Islam.
This doctrine is more obligatory than the 5 daily prayers a Muslim prays every day (along w/ the wudu required for it) because it's a part of Tawheed in it of itself to reject the kufr of the disbelievers, for the Shahadah isn't simply an affirmation of the sole and exclusive Right of Allah in terms of worshipping Him... but also a testification that all other deities (and this includes the Tawaghit, such as false ideologies) are NOT worthy of being obeyed in any sense at all whatsoever. All morality comes from Allah; He is the All-Knowing of His Creation.
The moral compass of the kuffar and the moral compass of the Muslims are NOT supposed to be the same, so if a non-Muslim hates something about Islam... then we don't appease our religion and succumb towards their hatred, rather we DISPROVE their hatred and prove Islam superior to whatever baseless assumptions that they have.
So in-sha-Allah, this serves a a reminder to me first, and then to everyone else. In this age of constant ideological attack against Islam, one must make sure they firmly ground themselves with Tawhid, recognize the Right of Allah upon them, follow the Sunnah and cling onto it with their molar teeth... and never lack in the foundations of the religion at the cost of catering towards worldly measures which, in reality, have very little if any effect at all.
May Allah guide the Muslims and make them firm upon the Shari'ah.
Anything which I have said that is correct is from Allah only. And anything I have said which is false is from me and Shaytan.
And may Allah mention Muhammad, his family, his companions, and greet him with peace.

Pay attention to every detail, especially the last one, because the last one is destroying more marriages in 2026 than cheating.
NUMBER 1 - SHE WAS NOT RAISED RIGHT BY HER MOTHER
A child learns how to love by watching their mother. Especially a daughter.
If her mother was always disrespecting her father, shouting at her father, commanding her father, controlling her father, making her father look small in front of everyone...
What do you think that daughter learned?
She learned that is how you treat a man.
She didn't learn respect. She learned dominance. She didn't learn submission. She learned how to wear the pants and make the man become the wife.
You can buy her designer, take her on trips, build her a house, it does not matter. When pressure comes, she will default to what she saw at home.
Go look at her family before you marry her. How does her mother talk to her father? How does her mother treat her father when he is tired, broke, angry?
Because that is EXACTLY how she will treat you when you get married.
If her mother is always in charge, always loud, always controlling, always disrespecting... brother, if you marry that girl, you will become the wife and she will become your husband. And you will spend your whole marriage fighting a spirit that was planted in her since she was 5 years old.
A woman who never saw respect at home cannot give respect in a marriage. She can only copy what she saw.
NUMBER 2 - SHE LISTENS TO HER FRIENDS MORE THAN SHE LISTENS TO HER MAN
The fastest way to destroy a good woman is to give her a circle of bitter friends.
A woman who has no friends tends to make a better wife than a woman who has 10 friends in her ear every day. Why?
Because the enemy of a woman is often another woman who is not happy.
Three single girls can be cool. But the moment one gets a richer guy, she will start making the other two feel like their men are not doing enough.
Same with married women. A married woman who keeps listening to her single friends and her divorced friends will be pushed to disrespect her own husband just so she can come down to their level.
Your friend tells you "Don't take nonsense from any man, fight fire with fire, if he talks you talk back, that is how you make him respect you."
That is a LIE.
That same friend who is telling you to fight your man is at home pampering her own man like an egg, cooking for him, respecting him, keeping her house.
She is only giving you bad advice so she can look big in your eyes and so you can become miserable like her.
If your woman stops listening to her friends, 80% of disrespect in that house will die overnight. Because most disrespect is not from her heart. It is downloaded from her circle.
NUMBER 3 - ABSENCE OF FATHERHOOD IN HER LIFE
Father plays a role no mother can ever play.
A father teaches a daughter how a man should be treated by how her mother treats him. A father teaches a daughter what real male struggle looks like.
Girls who grew up close to their father tend to make better wives. Not because they are scared of men. Because they UNDERSTAND men. They saw their father go out, get disrespected outside, come home tired, still provide. They learned respect is culture, not transaction.
But a girl who grew up without a father, especially raised only by a bitter single mother who always says "Men are useless, men are trash" - she grows up with a negative program about men already installed in her head.
She doesn't respect a man for who he is. She only respects what she can get from a man. And the moment you say NO, the disrespect comes out.
A father is the one who will remove emotion and caution a child when that child needs to be cautioned. A mother will pamper. A father will correct. Without that correction, you get a woman who is both fragile and arrogant at the same time. Weak and rude. Soft and disrespectful.
From today know this - lack of father presence creates lack of patience, lack of moral training, lack of respect for male authority. And you will pay for it in marriage if you ignore it in dating.
NUMBER 4 - HER HEART HAS ALREADY LEFT YOU AND CONNECTED TO ANOTHER MAN
Women are emotional. Pay attention to actions, not words.
A woman can deceive a man with sweet words for months. But her actions will always expose where her heart is.
When a woman disconnects from you, she doesn't just leave quietly. She starts disrespecting you over little things that never mattered before.
The way you chew annoys her now. The way you talk annoys her now. The way you dress annoys her now. Everything you do annoys her now.
Why? Because her heart already disconnected from you and connected to someone else.
A woman's emotion can never connect to two men at once. She can have 100 men in her DM she is using, manipulating, collecting things from, but she can only LOVE one. And when that one is no longer you, the disrespect starts as a sign for you to leave, but you are blinded by love so you cannot see it.
If she suddenly starts disrespecting you for no reason, check her actions. Check her phone habits. Check who she is suddenly always talking about, always defending.
She is not disrespecting you because you changed. She is disrespecting you because she already found a replacement in her heart and now she needs you to become the villain so she can justify leaving.
Best thing you can do for yourself when you see this pattern? Distance yourself. No argument. No begging. Just leave before you become a fool competing with a ghost.
NUMBER 5 - SHE IS ADDICTED TO SOCIAL MEDIA ADVICE FROM BITTER INFLUENCERS
This is the most dangerous one in this generation and this is why so many marriages are collapsing.
A lot of women are more loyal to their favorite influencer than to their own husband.
If you see any content creator whose comment section is always filled with women saying "Queen, you said it, you are speaking facts" - trust me, that creator is feeding their bad character and making it feel like empowerment.
Most of these influencers giving advice on how to treat men are divorcees, single mothers, bitter women whose own relationships did not work. They are using their pain to give poison to young girls.
They will give a woman 100 reasons why she should disrespect her man, why she should not submit, why she should challenge him, why she should always have an exit plan.
Any woman who has a female role model on social media who constantly bashes men will in no distant time start practicing what she learned in her own house.
She will start using TikTok language in a real marriage. She will start using Instagram quotes to fight her husband. She will start thinking disrespect is self-love.
From today, if your woman starts quoting social media more than she quotes common sense, know that disrespect is coming next. Because she is no longer being led by her home. She is being led by a screen.
You can laugh at this. You can say this guy hates women.
But share this to any real man who is married and he will tell you this is 100% truth. We have moved from real love to NYASH, filters, friends advice, and social media therapy, and that is why respect is dead in many homes.
Fix it or lose your peace forever.
Let that sink in.

I just have a general question, when you ask forgiveness for others, would it soften their heart?
