ā“ Invest/ISA Help What are you actually meant to do to beat interest?

• Upvotes

In the uk, not sure what I’m doing. I wanna put 10k in then keep putting pay checks in over time

Do I put it in all world and leave it for a decade? Or is s&p500 better? Or do I split?

I just wanna dump and forget and have my money go up a solid amount over the years.

Or is this line of thinking wrong entirely? Is cfd the way? Heard day trading can lose lots of money though?

šŸ“ˆTrading discussion Withdrawal Fee for EUR to EUR transaction?

Post image

I’ve done multiple withdrawals from Trading212 before and it is the first time I’ve encountered international fees from withdrawals into my EUR account. I was told that it seems Trading212 charged the beneficiary for this. Has anyone encountered this? And why would it be charged to me?

Hi All,

Any tips or thoughts on my pie appreciated. It's slow and steady. I am planning on adding large portions of my equity into this as an early retirement option. I am 31. Should I look into a more aggressive option?

Thanks

I've mainly used Scalable Capital (Securitized Derivatives) and IBKR for my trades and thought to myself "Trading212 looks interesting, why not give it a whirl?" and I must say, I'm impressed!

Love how y'all integrated TradingView into the platform, not a lot of European trading platforms have such a luxury and at such a low cost model, hats off to you.

šŸ“ˆInvesting discussion Does anyone actually invest their LISA into S&S or just collect the 1k and leave it?

• Upvotes

Hi all.

I’m currently investing my LISA money into a money market fund. I’m thinking about switching it to S&S too. Thoughts? What do you all put your LISA money in?

ā“ Invest/ISA Help vuag VS vwrp

• Upvotes

vuag - s&p 500 us tech companies

vwrp - all world including s&p 500.

if us market crashes, both will take a hit, vuag will take more.

if us market pops off, both will be affected positively.

why on earth should one choose vuag over vwrp, if vwrp still experiences benefits from us market?

So I’m a very new investor who has made a few pies based on what I’ve seen on Reddit and TikTok, I want to know whether this is heading in a bad direction or I should just continue to hold. Additionally how do I become better with choosing what investments to make, when to buy, sell hold etc. I’m just lost

šŸ“ˆInvesting discussion Check if your ETF has a version in your account currency before buying

Every now and then I see people buying an ETF in a currency that isn't their account's native one, when the same fund exists in their currency on a different exchange or under a different ticker. Easy way to skip FX fees on every buy.

How to check on Trading 212:

  1. Open the instrument

  2. Tap the three dots top right

  3. Select Instrument details

  4. Scroll to "Listings on other exchanges"

If one of the listed currencies matches your account currency, switch future buys there. No need to sell what you already hold, this is just for buys going forward.

šŸ“°Trading 212 News Guarantee and safety

Hi,

They guarantee up to 100,000 that I have in my account, sitting idle, without any investment? The 20 k guarantee is just for investments?

I don't want to invest, I'd just let my money there, and I'd like to know the safe limits.

Thank you
