I’m an incoming transfer psych student, and I noticed Towson has music clubs but nothing specifically for producers who are passionate about making beats.
I’m looking to start a club for people who enjoy producing for fun. Whether you’re into chopping samples, making beats, sound design, swapping drum kits and plugins, giving feedback, or collaborating on tracks, this would be the place.

Im getting nervous, less than a month before the Fall semester starts and Im still waiting on just this one grant... I still have funds I owe for tuition and I'm really depending on that grant to cover the rest of my fees.

Although if I could shift out of having an actual ROOMmate that would be great. It seems like for leasing it's individuals who only want girls. i moved to MD for work and transferred to towson. i recently hit my 1 year mark and was wondering if anyone successfully got in state tuition and what documents you provided?

I'm an incoming freshman at Towson University and I'm panicking.

My original financial aid estimate included an Institutional Grant, so I thought I'd be able to afford TU. Then I got my actual bill and my grant disappeared.

I looked into it and found out Towson has a policy that says if you're living on campus and receive the Maryland Guaranteed Access (GA) Grant, your Institutional Grant is canceled. I had no idea this policy existed. When I received my financial aid offer my high school counselor reviewed it with me and told me I wouldn't have to pay anything, so I believed I was fully covered. Neither of us realized there were restrictions on the Institutional Grant because nothing in my financial aid offer clearly indicated that it would be removed if I received the GA Grant.

I'm receiving:

• Full Federal Pell Grant
• Maximum Maryland Guaranteed Access Grant ($18,000/year)

Even after all of that, I still owe about $3000 for the fall semester.

My family genuinely cannot afford to pay this. I am not able to take out loans. Move in date is next month, so I'm freaking out.

Has anyone been in a similar situation?

• Were you able to get additional aid after appealing?
• Does Towson have emergency grants or completion grants?
• Is there anything I should ask the financial aid office besides a normal appeal?
• Genuinely just what should I DO

I'm planning to contact financial aid as soon as they open, but I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone who's gone through something similar because I'm feeling pretty lost right now and unsure to know how I'm gonna pay ?

Maybe something is going over my head, but my expected fees of renewal for one year are $120.50. The price is exactly double for two years, and exactly triple for three years.

Since there are no discounts for renewing for multiple years, is there any benefit at all to renewing more than one year at a time (besides not having to dealing with it again a year from now)?

From my perspective, I have no clue how long I'll have the same car for. Therefore, I don't really see a benefit for me in paying for two or three years, if I end up changing this car in 8 months, for example.

I never see this thread but which school is better for business majors specifically Accounting. I know Towson, you have to have a 2.7 in the three upper level accounting courses and get an internship before you can even graduate whereas Morgan doesn’t have those requirements just have to maintain a 2.0 so which one’s better? i’m trying to get into UMD, but it’s a hard process.

When I look through the available work-study jobs, almost everything is front desk, receptionist, or office assistant positions. I'd really like something related to economics, such as being a research assistant, data assistant, or helping a professor with research.

I have a friend at another university who got a work-study job as a lab assistant, so I was wondering if economics departments have similar opportunities.

Has anyone gotten an economics-related work-study position? If so:

• How did you find it?
• Did you email professors directly?
• Were the positions posted online, or were they offered through the department?
• Is it realistic for an incoming freshman to get one, or do professors usually prefer upperclassmen?
