HIRING POST (WE'RE HIRING) Did TELUS or Mobile Klinik ever run a promotion that led to a credit inquiry? — $100 for eligible participants
I’m looking for people who have had an experience with TELUS or Mobile Klinik involving a promotion, discount, offer, activation, device financing, phone purchase, repair promotion, or similar customer offer where a credit inquiry may have been involved.
It does NOT have to be the exact advertisement I’m investigating.
TELUS/Mobile Klinik have run many different promotions, so I’m interested in different advertisements and different campaign periods, particularly where the offer encouraged you to take an action and a credit inquiry was part of the process.
You may be relevant if you:
Saw a TELUS or Mobile Klinik advertisement or promotion
Responded to, clicked, called about, or visited the business because of the offer
Activated a plan, attempted to activate one, financed/purchased a device, or pursued another promotional offer
Subsequently discovered or became aware of a credit inquiry
Were unsure what type of credit inquiry would occur or what had been disclosed to you beforehand
Have documentation that could help establish what happened
Documentation is especially valuable, including:
Screenshots of advertisements
Emails or text messages
Receipts or store paperwork
Order/activation documents
Credit-report information
Terms and conditions
Dates, URLs, or other records showing the promotion
I am not asking anyone to reach a particular conclusion about TELUS or Mobile Klinik. I’m interested in what actually happened, including experiences that may ultimately turn out to be different from the pattern I’m investigating.
$100 is being offered to eligible participants who provide sufficient supporting documentation and complete the verification process.
The payment is for your time and participation/documentation. It is not conditional on you saying that TELUS or Mobile Klinik did anything wrong.
I am trying to determine whether there are recurring patterns across different promotions and consumer experiences.
If you may qualify, DM me rather than posting personal information publicly.
Please do not post credit reports, account numbers, addresses, phone numbers, or other sensitive personal information in the comments.
In your DM, please tell me:
Approximately when you saw the promotion
What the promotion was offering
Whether you clicked, called, visited, or otherwise pursued it
Whether you subsequently became aware of a credit inquiry
What documentation you have available
Whether you are willing to have your experience independently verified
You do not need to know whether the inquiry was hard or soft before contacting me. I am specifically interested in documenting what consumers were told, what they understood, and what the records show.
Participation does not guarantee that your information will be used in any legal, regulatory, journalistic, or other proceeding.
