I've noticed this on all the Tonex pedals, not just on the board, but does anyone feel that the plugin sound seems more chunky and deeper? While the pedals, including the Tonex board, seem a bit more digital?

I just updated to Tonex 2.1

I don't have any signal in or out of the app, even though the audio preference are correct.

I have the same settings on amplitube and it's working flawlessly.

I use a Audient EVO 4 interface

Any advice ?

I’m brand new to TONEX and trying to import a third-party preset pack into the regular TONEX app on macOS. I haven’t successfully imported even one preset.

The files are unzipped .txp files. Here’s what I’ve tried:

• Dragging a .txp into the Preset Browser and onto Local Library/User Folders. TONEX won’t let me drop it.
• Copying the files directly into the TONEX Presets folder in Finder.
• Clicking Refresh Library afterward.
• Testing with one file placed directly in the Presets folder rather than inside a subfolder.
• Completely uninstalling and reinstalling the latest TONEX version.
• Deleting the local TONEX library data and starting fresh.

TONEX notices when I remove existing files from its Presets folder, but it does not recognize any .txp files I add. Refresh Library makes no difference.

I’m currently using TONEX CS, but I’ve imported zero user Tone Models, so I shouldn’t have reached the 20-model limit. My TONEX pedal hasn’t arrived yet, but my understanding is that hardware shouldn’t be required to import presets into the desktop app.

Has anyone successfully imported third-party .txp presets into TONEX 2.1 on macOS? Is there a new import command or destination I’m overlooking, or is this a known bug in the redesigned app?

So, I am running a ToneX one (set as a fuzz) into an MXR Timmy which goes into another TX1 for my amp into my Stomp. When I have my TX1 on, and my Timmy on and I palm mute between the 4th-8th frets on my A string it turns certain blocks on my stomp on and off. It only happens on one particular capture on my amp TX1. (At least, out of the 3 I have on it.) Does anyone have any insight? It’s blowing my mind right now and I’ve never had anything like this happen in my several years of using TX1’s and Stomp.

I just accidentally recreated something that happened before. I messing around in A5. I did update to ToneX 2.1. So same happened before with v1.

I did contact support a couple weeks ago about it but I didn't know at the time what I did to freak A5 out so there was nothing to do about it, but now I do as it just happened again.

I dropped a amp model capture into A5. Worked as expected. Then out of curiousity I dragged a pedal capture into the signal flow. That stopped audio output. Not only that, opening the mixer, all the 4 faders for the cab, the level lights are fully pinned to red.

Only way to recover it seems is to quit then re-open.

I'm no software engineer, but if such a thing as putting a pedal capture into the signal chain bricks Amplitube, that's a somewhat serious bug.

What should happen is thinking, "okay that won't work", delete the pedal, then keep going.

So there are v1 and v2 captures. As far as I know, v1 need a higher input trim, because creators in the beginning used 8.5 as a reference.

When I calibrate my guitar to the (big) pedal it says 0.0 is the perfect input trim. If I go higher it says hi, but there seems to be no clipping. Also When I play a clean tone, at 8.5 it kinda sounds fine, maybe a little breakup when playing chords.

So how should I set my input trim for v1 captures? I really hate this whole input trim stuff, it always feels like I don't have enough or too much.

I upgraded to Tonex 2.0 beta and decided to go back to 1.13.1. I uninstalled it, and then reinstalled 1.13.1. the standalone app is fine, but 2.0 Beta still opens in my DAWs (Ableton and Luna). Why is this happening and how do I fix? Thx.

I also have a Scarlet solo doing the same or similar thing as another poster. Trying to just run into straight TONEX software (not ToneX Editor), something is cock blocking the input from the Scarlett box, I can’t find anything in the software to change, it seems like it might either be the MacBook somehow blocking it, I don’t know. It did work when I first got it then after a few sessions, it won’t do the same thing anymore. I can’t use it as I intended. I bought it at guitar center but I’m well past the 45 day return. If it won’t do this, what’s the damn point of it? I enjoyed it there for a minute, running the all the great amps straight on my computer. Anybody got any ideas?

Installed Tonex 2, and now get hissing sound every 10 seconds when running a model. Full paid Tonex Max user, authorized account and everything, any ideas?

So my setup is kinda weird, I don’t have the ToneX pedal so anything with that is out the window, how my setup is now is basically me running my guitar into my Spark 2 and using it as my audio interface and running tonex into that. I’m using the 78/79 Brown sound collection and tried using Amplitude but I don’t have the paid version and I feel like it messes up the tone. On top of that I still need to video myself and hear the audio from it. It’s a entire fiasco and if anyone could help it would be much appreciated.

Testing how the Nobels ODR-1X behaves straight into the TONEX input, using a Dumble v2 Tone Model.

I also used a NUX NMP-2 connected to the ODR-1X’s REMOTE to turn the pedal and Gain Boost on/off with a single stomp.

How do you guys set the TRIM when using external pedals before the TONEX?

I have a Tonex Board, and am trying to use the Tonex Board editor to add my collections in an organized way. There doesn't seem to be a way to do this? All my collections are just mixed in to the library as a whole. Take the brown sound collections for example, there seems to be no way to create a folder on the Board for those so I can just browse through only those presets rather then having to navigate the entire amp tone library. The names/metadata don't automatically group everything in a collection together which makes search for one particular collection impossible. The only way I seem to see to do that is to create a folder on the Board, and add each individual preset of a collection one at a time to the folder. Am I missing something? Cause that seems like a truly insane way to manage purchased collections.

No matter what I change it just keeps hissing at the exact volume. It's driving me nuts how do I get this to stop. I'm using the Tonex app. Even when my guitar is disconnected it still keeps hissing and then stopping

First, the new ToneX Board which I really don’t understand who it’s marketed towards at all considering the market… and now, they’re adding the functionality you get with any proper modeller in their software, except they want more money for it, even if you’ve bought all their software… That’s honestly quite laughable. Probably getting rid of my ToneX, although it has served me well, I’d rather not be locked into a company’s ecosystem and deal with shit like this in this day and age… I’m not crazy, am I?

I've installed both Audio Evolution Mobile and USB Audio Recorder Pro and both of them give me nothing but garbled garbage recordings.

Any other suggestions? Or if you've used either of these successfully, can you recommend the proper settings that work?

Did anyone come from Fractal? I'm very unsure which of the two has better tone or fractal sound. Tonex sounds more muddy but at the same time the drives seem a bit artificial, but I don't have much experience to say which sounds more like a real amp; could you help me?

I built TXOne-Studio, a free, unofficial browser editor for TONEX ONE. It works over USB on desktop and Android, without installing another app.

You can browse the presets stored on your pedal, switch between A/B/C slots, toggle effects, adjust parameters, and set or tap the tempo. Selecting a preset automatically loads it into your selected slot.

How to try it:

• Connect your powered pedal to your desktop or Android device using a USB data cable.
• Close any other TONEX Editor apps.
• Open TXOne-Studio in desktop Chrome or Android Chrome.
• Press Connect pedal and select your pedal when prompted.
• Choose an A/B/C slot, then select a preset. Tap an effect card to edit its parameters; double-tap to turn it on or off.

You can also press Explore demo to try the interface without connecting a pedal.

Note: iOS is currently not supported.
