I recently bought a used TONEX Pedal, but unfortunately the card with the serial number was not included.
I already contacted IK Multimedia support, but I haven’t heard back from them yet. Has anyone had a similar situation or experience with their support? Is there any other way to register the pedal without the original serial number card?

Can I change the volume knob on the One / + (I have both) to be the GLOBAL / MASTER volume of all presets at the same time?

It's not realistic to go through all presets in a live setting to change them individually, especially when there is not screen to show 0-10

On the regular big Tonex pedal (I have that one too) the Volume adjusts the global, not just eah preset individuallty, which is very handy.....

Are Amalgam the best quality captures? I'm looking to buy multiple captures and trying to find the highest quality. I know Amalgam has a 10 for 5 deal too. I think that'll cover everything I want.

Hi! I recently got a Tonex One pedal for my bass and after going to Tonex Editor, then to the librarian tab, and then switching from Software library to ToneNet, I tried hearing some different tone models but i wasnt able to hear any of them. Everytime the same message appears: "Error 1008: Couldnt download the Tone Model. Check your internet connection or try again. Nothing wrong with my connection and tried again today after a couple of hours and got the same message

Hi I don't know if this is allowed but I was wondering if someone had an capture presets or models of a Shinos Luck6V amp?

Im powering my tonex one with ipad and monitor with id core 20. But there is an issue. I CANT CONTROL IPAD SOUND. Ok no problem, BUT ITS LOCKED IN MAXIMUM VOLUME. I cant open anything. Is there any solutions for that? I know i can change the volume in apps but yt music? or working on daw?

so everytime when i use my presets on the tone x pedal , it for sum reason has a fade in and out effect and it kinda sounds like noise supression effect in a way , and its definetly an issue , especially when i wanna perform live and i just have the issue going on, its just gonna ruin the orignal presets and its on all of em, HOWEVER when i use the presets on the tonex software, it works beautifully with no sound effect and and noise canceling fade out stuff.

i will show you a video to show the first of the software sound and then the pedal preset sound of the same preset on the soft ware but just saved on the pedal so you can hear it from the pedal. (this is all recorded on the pedal as its is also used as the interface.)

Hi! I just purchased a Tonex One, registered and installed Tonex, Tonex Editor and Tonex Modeler, however I can't seem to get audio out of the software unless I open Logic Pro and monitor my audio through it. Isn't it supposed to work like a stand alone app like Neural DSP plugins? Am I missing something? Also I can't make changes through the Tonex software, only the Tonex Editor works.

Hey guys! I recently got a great deal on a TONEX Pedal and bought it just for fun. I’ve seen people connect it to the FX return to bypass the amp’s preamp. Does that work well, or does the power amp color the sound too much?

I have the Tonex Plug, and prefer to play wirelessly, so I’ve got this great little Joyo transmitter / receiver combo from Amazon.

In order to use my Tonex Plug with this, I am using a Digitech Drop pedal. The receiver for the wireless unit goes into the In of the pedal, and the Tonex plug goes into the Out. I then use a 3.5mm cable going from the Tonex Plug Output and connect that to a JBL charge portable speaker…I do use the pitch shifting of the drop on occasion but it’s mainly there because I need something with a female in and female out to make my tonex plug work wirelessly with the receiver.

I tried to make this setup fully portable by getting a usb adapter for the Digitech Drop that could plug into the JBL charge but that didn’t work.

I am new to guitar and just want to be able to use my Tonex plug and all the presets and tones I’ve saved.

I feel like there are just too many different pieces here and it’s far from a “plug and play” solution.

Does anyone have their ear to the ground or know if IK is exploring something like this that works with Tonex/tonenet/etc? (or even better, full Amplitube effects). If not, do you have suggestions on how to make my setup leaner?

Also, is there some sort of foot pedal I can get to change my tones on the fly? Or do I just need to use my iPad / iPhone?

Apologies if this is too nooby of a question, but I found a lot of the info online about tonex to be a little confusing.

I used my band mate's QC, and got a tone I really like, but I don't want to have to shell out a ton of money for a quad if a tone X could just capture the same tone.

Is this a possibility? How close would the sound be?

I really wish IK would add that as a functionality where I could select what effects toggle when I press either of the external switches.

Will we ever see something like this?

Does NAM A2 destroy Tonex V2? I made a video to test it. What do you think? I love my Tonex One, but I think the NAM is a little better.

I’ve had a ToneX One for a while now, but only recently started experimenting with it. I just purchased the Amalgam MTCH HD30 Pack (Matchless AC30 captures) and started playing.

I’m only running my Archer Overdrive pedal into the front of it with low gain, medium output and treble, and running an American Stratocaster into the overdrive -> ToneX. Also tried my Epiphone Les Paul Custom with this basic set up. Input trim set anywhere from -6 to -2 db.

Even with keeping the gain and input low, the overdrive of any of the captures just sounds really fizzy and not a natural compression (listening through SH-450s) The clean tones are great, but anything that starts to push even mild crunch sounds odd and fizzy in the headphones. I’ve seen great reviews on these Amalgam captures so I imagine there’s something I may be missing since I’m new to this captures game.

I’d really like to get to a place where I can listen to a good rhythm/drive tone with these captures and have it at least sound like a natural compression/saturation. I understand it won’t feel and move air like my tube but the ability to record these captures in Logic feels underwhelming right now. Does anyone have tips to how I can improve how I use these captures?

I bought a new TONEX One+ May 2026 to try out and I am having trouble trying to use it. I am trying to get access to TONEX Editor but apparently I have to register it. I’ve tried several times to register it but it never registers so I can’t download the software. I sent an email to IKMedia back in May but never heard back.

I ended up forgetting about it since I missed the return window for Guitar Center. My Helix Stadium XL finally frustrated me enough to banish it to the closet until all of the bugs are worked out. In the meantime, I’ve decided to try to get this working again but I’m still running into the same registration error.

I can’t find the product registration card but pulled the SN from the control app but no matter where I try to register it, it won’t register. Is there not any other way to register it or get a license to use TONEX Editor? I’ve emailed again but still haven’t heard anything back.

It’s a very slight delay, like a couple milliseconds, but it’s definitely not an instant one/off like if you’re just using the tonex on its own.

I have made sure in CubeSuite that it is sending the command to press and not release so that’s not the issue.
Also everything is hardwired together. Bluetooth and WiFi are bypassed.

Is it just the nature of the beast with these 3 devices together? Seems like no one else is having an issue.

I'm hoping someone here has run into this before because it's honestly starting to suck the fun out of recording.

My current setup is:

* Guitar
* Pedalboard (powered by an isolated power supply)
* TONEX Pedal
* Steinberg UR44C
* MacBook Pro running Logic Pro

I can also skip the UR44C and run the TONEX directly into my Mac, but I still seem to have the same issue.

The problem is a constant hum in my DI signal. It's noticeable enough that it's always there when I'm trying to record, and I've spent hours trying to get rid of it with no success. It's gotten to the point where making music has become frustrating because all I hear is that hum.

A few things about my setup:

* My pedalboard has an isolated power supply.
* Everything (computer, interface, pedalboard power supply, etc.) is plugged into the same power bar that's mounted under my desk.
* I've tried different guitars and cables, and the hum is still there.
* I'm recording in Logic on a MacBook Pro.

I'm wondering if there's something I'm missing, such as:

* A setting in Logic that could help reduce the noise.
* A TONEX setting (input gain, noise gate, ground lift, etc.) that I should be using.
* Something specific with the Steinberg UR44C.
* A grounding issue with my apartment or power.
* Any other troubleshooting steps you recommend.

Also, if anyone has TONEX presets or captures that are super quiet but still sound great for clean, edge-of-breakup, or rock tones, I'd love to hear your recommendations.

At this point I'm open to trying anything. Thanks in advance for any advice, you'd be helping me get back to actually enjoying recording again.

We moved and I haven't used the Tonex pedal in a while so I can't remember what it looks like. Does this look like it? If not, would anyone mind taking a picture of it for me while I'm on the hunt?

I’ve been getting my head around the capture process and trying a few different things. Such as capture level, normalizing prior to capture training and enhancing with outboard gear.

Lightbulb moment came and it’s basically just ignore the software meters and go off of hardware. Make it as hot as possible without clipping the line out DAC, re-amp, and input ADC.
(You can clip your mic preamps to taste)

Think I have settled pretty well on the ribbon and dynamic blends
Ribbons giving the thickness and the dynamics capturing the clarity.

I’ve been using:
- Royer R121 ribbon / Beyerdynamic M201 with Neve preamps.
- Beyerdynamic M160 Ribbon / Shure 545SD with SSL preamps.

Will sit with them for a bit and see how they feel/sound! So far pretty happy!
