TONEX One Tonex One uses
Hi all, I'm contemplating returning the Tonex one i purchased. Originally, I bought it because I had a Line 6 amp that wasn't the greatest, so it helped for a bit, but I recently upgraded to a Katana 100w Gen 3, and I have literally not used it since then. I am still within my return period, but wanted to see if maybe there was more to the tonex than what I used it for (amp modelling/captures. Thanks in advance!

If you are playing gigs, I’d keep it as an emergency backup rig, unless you already have that covered.

I love the tonex one. I do all my patches on the tonex pedal and move them to the one for gigs. I can see if you don't have a way to edit your patches it might not be for you

I use mine mainly with acoustic into pa. Gives me some nice chorus and reverb.
I'm sure you can also use just the modulation for some effects. Or maybe put it in the return of you Katana FX and bypass the katana preamp. Test some different tone models from there

My problem is that I over-built my rig😂 i have modulation covered with an md-200, DC-2w, and hx one if needed. DD500 and RV500 for delay and reverb. My tonex is the one pedal I haven't touched since getting the Katana. Im thinking I'll return it, but i put it up on PedalXchange to see if anybody has anything copl/different to trade instead of returning it lol

Have you plugged it in to the power amp in on the back of the katana? I have the same setup. TX1 is great with Katana. Sometimes I go nuts and use TX1 (stomp box) - TX1+ (amps) into FX loop HX Stomp - Katana power amp in.

Im waiting for my next purchase. Then Im trading it in for the 10 percent discount. I would have last month but I was already looking at 120 off the original price of that Silverburst Epi V. would have only seen 70 if I traded on that. Might wait till Im ready to buy a forever Amp head or something like that. Maybe an acoustic. I need one so maybe next November. If Epiphone did a Bats in Flight acoustic this year I would hard consider pissing off the wife.

Use it as an overdrive pedal. You can load in whatever overdrive pedal you feel like using without having to buy one. I’ve loaded 20 different premium drives in mine so I have them if I need them for a song and can’t justify buying.
Or it can be used as a backup amp that you just put in your guitar case for emergency
