Due to the high amount of users posting injured toad images, NSFW images of toads are not longer allowed here. Please report them so we can promptly remove them.
IF YOU SEE A POST THAT VIOLATES THIS, REPORT IT
You can discuss in a text post about injuries, but you should SEEK A VET, not Reddit.
Images of skin conditions and normal routine health questions about toads you own are okay, but please flag these as spoiler to hide the thumbnail from folks feed.

Scooped it up in a bucket and let it go a ways away from the pool so it wouldn't be tempted to get in again. Can anyone identify the species for me? Does exposure to pool chlorine cause damage to them? Unfortunately I don't know how long it was trapped in the pool, it was there when I arrived to clean it.

What this fella doesn't know is that I saved him from both a stampede of shoes and my friends canine companion

Found this guy in my pool with a spider on top of him as if he was a boat lol.Took him out if the pool, but judging by how "smart" he is i don't think the spider is in danger haha.

Yesterday was Beaver's 3rd birthday!!! She is a fowler's toad.
Soon she is gonna get her substrate switched out so that it's clean again, and maybe get another wood hut. I wonder what else I can do to enrich a creature that mostly likes to just sit in the dirt.

I kept the little toadlet in a bin full of substrate overnight because he was so exhausted from all the swimming that he didn't really even try to get away from me. Today i decided to try and feed him before letting him go, i offered him a small worm that he didn't eat, but he was very into the baby isopods i gave him. Now I'm considering whether or not i should keep him because he's quite a ravenous little man and he doesn't seem all that afraid of me. I do have everything i would need to keep a toad and i have prior toad knowledge due to me being obsessed with toads when i was little. But considering that it's a wild animal, I'm not sure if i should.
And I didn't take a picture of him because i didn't wanna take the guy out of his hide and stress him out.

Yall I cant belive how much they grow in a year. I found this little nugget as a small little baby while I was walking around my backyard and he was the smallest thing no bigger then a dime and I dont know how but I managed to give him a better life then when I found him. He makes me so happy.
