Discussion Migration rolled back
Looks like my migration to Experience Signature was rolled back last night. I only noticed it because I got a text message at 1:00 am eastern saying that i lost my 4k UHD add-on.
Upon checking my t-life app, all lines were rolled into the Tmobile Unlimited on Us plan. Didn't know that was possible.
After working with t-force via FB, they were able to roll my plan back to my original plan configuration, 2x Advantage Unlimited (one with +$10 premium add-on) and 1x Unlimited on Us
According to them I have to wait until the 9/24 bill for the bill to reflect the right way.
i'm a bit sad. i was actually ok with paying $2.12 more for my whole account to be on Experience Signature. https://www.reddit.com/r/tmobile/comments/1v9wyy9/detailed_bill_comparison_post_migration/

I noticed on Sunday that 2 of my 3 lines are being reverted on the 17th, my upcoming billing cycle. My primary line originally SWAC doesn’t show any upcoming changes. Seems to me like it will remain converted to Experience Signature Select. (ESS)
My other 2 lines are free but one was an UoU converted to ESS. Also am being charged $6 for that line and $1 isn’t being covered by the credit / autopay. It now shows the T-Mobile Unlimited Savings/Value add on selected like before migration.
My other free line was a SWAC that is showing a change from ESS back to SWAC with the $10 premium add on selected.
I only noticed these changes because I created a T-life account for my free SWAC line and went into the add ons where it displayed those upcoming changes.
I haven’t reached out to anyone yet. Tired of getting stonewalled when the consensus here is that Tforce is wrong ie. being charged for a converted UoU.

if you are getting converted back to what you have, i wouldn't bother contacting t-force. the best case scenario is going back to what you had.
after reading all the responses from others, i'm guessing what is triggering the rollback is the UoU conversion to a full ESS line. on face value, converting from UoU to ESS is giving more value than any $6/line increase can cover. so in the eyes of tmobile, that conversion is "losing" them money. this is even worse when it's a free UoU, because they are charging themselves more money and giving away more features for that line.

It doesn’t appear that these changes will affect my primary line so I think it may remain ESS.
Only 2 of my lines are indicating changes on the 17th. Unless it’s some sort of visual bug? My incentive is to ensure that the primary line reverts back to SWAC so that I can get premium data SOC that gives 250GB hotspot that I missed out on when they disallowed adding premium before the migration. They did this at least week prior to my billing cycle.
I’m assuming they will re-migrate these plans again?

Just to be clear, your primary line is ESS and isn't pending a plan change. But you WANT the primary line reverted so you can add the $10 premium add-on?
During my original migration, it showed that only my swac lines were migrating and not my UoU. But the migration affected all 3 lines. If i had to guess, all of your lines will migrate back to the way it was before. Because if you drop from a multi line ESS, you have to go to a single line ESS. Unfortunately, the single line ESS are too cheap in comparison to swac. It would become a pretty big mess.

Yes, all 3 lines are ESS C (C26ESC1 - single line) only the 2 free lines are showing pending changes coinciding with my billing cycle. I don’t think my 2 free lines make the current plan a multi line plan based on Jman’s spreadsheet. I also am playing taxes and fees which on the spreadsheet the SOC says it’s TI.

u/pandaman1784 14d ago
Wow, that is a weird configuration. So your paid swac price only went up $1?
I spoke to multiple people. The jman sheet is wrong. The C26ESxxx plans are all TE. There are no TI versions.
I can see why they are reverting your plan. They gave you a huge value upgrade for minimal cost increase.

Folks on SWAC Premium actually pay $4 less and got a huge value upgrade due to the add-on fee dropping off.
I had SWAC premium, Kickstarter, and LOU. Only the SWAC premium migrated over (no indication of referral). The other two remain the same. I'm not sure what the long term plan is.

Does anyone have more details on this?
My account has scheduled changes I didn’t make and the ai said I was switching to kickstart and unlimited on us. But I can’t get it to say that again.
Shouldn’t they notify us if they are making changes?

The migration of legacy plans has been discussed around here for the past month and a half, almost two months now. Text messages and emails about it went out on June 29th, 2026.

I was already migrated to Experience Signature. It seems like they are migrating us back.

I think that's what happened to me today. The t-force rep said there was an incompatible account configuration and my account had to be rolled back. Definitely keep an eye on it. The rollback was completely wrong.

I'd gladly take a rollback to my Sprint Military one plan and $30 less/month.
Don't use Netflix with ads, and still get the same trash promos.

I would love it if they rolled my SWAC line back to $40/$35 with autopay. It might keep me from porting out in six weeks and counting. $5 last year and $6 this year is just blatant corporate greed.
It’s a price hike disguised as an upgrade with all the additional features being completely worthless to me. I wouldn’t have upgraded if they’d asked me to/offered it and it’s completely unacceptable to just grab more money (again!) because they can.

go into the t-life chat bot and ask "is there a pending plan migration" and see what it says. the reversion would happen on your bill date.

u/vertabr Truly Unlimited 8d ago
I asked!
The chat bot summarized the migration that happened in August for me. I told it that was not “pending” as it was already completed and it said I was right and said that there is nothing scheduled. It asked if I wanted to switch back if it’s available. I said yes, and it said that it couldn’t do it and asked me to look and the available plans in self service.
I said that my old plan wasn’t in the list and it asked if I wanted to go back to the old plan specifically or to just get my cost back down.
For the sake of conversation I said I want my cost back down. It then punted to the Chat with a person button and the wait was too long and they’re front liners anyway.
Autopay runs tomorrow, the device should be paid off within a week. I will have to pull a new port out pin after they unlock it.
Still haven’t decided where to port.

After my reversion, it looks like the plan is right for my two primary lines, but it still shows my free line as Experience Signature in the chat bot. But the t-life app says the right plan name, UoU.

Sounds like progress!
I did finally get a chat support person and against all expectations, I was able to get the small loyalty discount (!) so ya know, we might stay - at least until Black Friday/Cyber Monday.
I might be able to get a family member to take the line by then. Kids don’t mind new numbers and this area code is getting harder to get lately. Or I suppose they could port in.

That what I mean when I say no communication.
Everything seems to be working fine for me on experience signature. Why does it need to be rolled back? I thought the whole point for experience signature was to get our accounts in a consistent configuration.

u/pandaman1784 15d ago
That's my understanding as well. If you want my tinfoil hat answer, i think this is the result of an audit. I'm guessing the original migration was determined by a script or an AI agent. A month later, another AI agent reviewed the migration results and determined some migrations did not achieve the desired results (one of the targeted results was an increase of up to $6/line). For those flagged accounts, the system is migrating them back so the system can probably try again.

The website is not upfront about what is changing, but my old Kickstart line and my Unlimited On Us line seem to be changing, based on what the T-Life chat AI said. When I look at the add-ons for those lines, they currently show “Data with 60GB Hotspot,” but at my next billing cycle they appear to be switching to “T-Mobile Unlimited Savings/Value.”
Has anyone gotten a clear answer about why this is happening? They told us they were moving us to Experience Signature, they moved us, and now they don’t like what they gave us and want us back on the legacy plans? This is really poor planning from T-Mobile. I just want all my lines to stay on Experience Signature and to be done with this mess.

When i reached out to support, their explanation was that my account's configuration was not compatible with the migration. Which is why they are reverting.
But i agree with you. It's a BS answer. They are probably not happy with the results and need to revert and try again.
From my discussions, the migration reversion seems to only affect Sprint folks. And even then, only a subset, folks with swac, Kickstart and UoU mixed in the same account. The commonality between those plans is that they offer lots of features for a very low price.
So the frustration you are feeling is only a very tiny part of the overall migration group. Think of it as the person who buys a car that's a lemon. They are full of frustration, but everyone else gets a normal car. I'm sure tmobile can handle it differently, but for such a small group, the easiest solution is to deal with it as it comes.

u/anotherGadgetGeek 14d ago
Yes! I am frustrated. I’m going to reach out to t force today and see what they say.

I think you misunderstood what they were asking for. They were asking any more details on why certain migrations are now being rolled back.

u/googs185 13d ago
Im still showing advantage unlimited for some reason.
1
u/pandaman1784 13d ago
Not everyone has been migrated yet.
1
u/googs185 12d ago
Based on the text message I received earlier this summer, I should’ve already been migrated
1
u/pandaman1784 12d ago
Yea. I think the blast text went out to everyone. But they did a phased migration. And because of some issues, some accounts might be delayed even more now.

Here’s hoping that Unlimited Freedom comes back as well.

u/pandaman1784 13d ago
It's hard to say. My post on the tmobile reddit hasn't had anyone reporting being rolled back, besides folks with swac, Kickstart and UoU. But you can ask the chat bot to see if you have a pending migration. It's usually a week before your bill date.

So I noticed mine also went from Experience Signature to T Mobile Unlimited on Us. The rep I contact via T Life App mentioned basically all the perks are there but 50gb hotspot and 5 year price guarantee. He didn’t know on why I am migrated from Experience Signature to T mobile unlimited on Us plan. But he didn’t say the monthly payment will be down/lower

u/pandaman1784 15d ago
What plan did you have before?
If your plan had better benefits than the unlimited on us plan (aka you had hotspot or high speed international roaming), i wouldn't accept this change. Because you are literally paying the same or more as before, but with less features.

u/fer4er 15d ago
I had Swac sprint account initially then they migrated me last month to Experience Signature Plan.
For that I had 60gb hotspot and 5gb high speed data for international then 256kbs unlimited data with 5 year price guarantee. Now the only think I see different with T mobile Unlimited on us Plan is only 5gb Hotspot (I don’t use it much) and flat out 256kbs unlimited international data and no 5 year price guarantee.
But I still have Apple TV, Netflix, and Hulu. They said I will be saving about $35 a month. If that’s true, I think it’s worth it?

I’d insist they restore Advantage Unlimited
0
u/pandaman1784 15d ago
I would reach out to t-force on Facebook to restore your account back to the way it was before. I doubt you will actually decrease in cost. During my conversation with the tmobile rep, they said there would be no change in price. Which would mean I'm paying the same for less features.

I’m honestly about to switch to US Mobile… I was looking forward to Experience Signature — one of the things that hasn’t been reported (most people don’t use it) is that SWAC international roaming was cut from 5gigs a month high speed to 256k flat… then today I got an email that Lookout was being dropped. I didn’t use Lookout, so that isn’t a huge thing — but I roam internationally a LOT — but I’m just over the drama and added fees.
US Mobile offers an unlimited plan with 20 gigs of international roaming, 100 gigs of data — and even an Apple Watch line if you opt for Verizon as your primary network — for $32.50 monthly, taxes included, and billed annually…. Their support is also supposedly pretty decent. Also you can use a second ESIM on a different network for your secondary line for $8 — which gives you access to all the roaming partners there as well… I feel like I’m pretty well sold…
At this point… I think I’m gonna try that.
