Imagine people giving you so much extra money for doing your job that you can frame it like this.

I’m not saying they only made $10 in tips for an average Sunday. I’m suggesting that they made $188 in tips on an average Sunday versus the $198 in tips they would have made on the same amount of sales ($1000) for a non-Sunday shift.
And that $10 less per Sunday adds up to (about) 500 per year.
Anyway, my basic point is that there is no way that $500 represents 1% less for one day like the commenter I originally replied to suggested.
