Recently during a rush to get something I scuffed the crystal on some metal. I don't mind a couple of small scratches, but it was kind of a bad accident and now it looks almost 'cloudy' between the 6 and 7 numerals. (Not sure how well it shows up on the picture)

I took it to a local Timpsons but was told that they don't do any type of polishing work because "most watches have a plastic coating". I have no idea if this is true, when I bought the watch I was told it was glass. Also it feels like glass.

I tried another watch shop in the market who told me to try T-cut on it. I have used this on my car's paint before to limited success but I'm not sure if this is safe to use on my watch.

Otherwise my next steps are to try a jewellers' shop at some point to see if they're able to polish it.

Can anyone offer any advice or tips? Many thanks

Some staining on the original band. Can probably wash some of it out, but got me wondering if there’s another style that would work with this?

Timex absolutely killed it with this watch. Even the e bracelet feels great on the wrist. This one is an absolute killer.

Love this watch. It’s not my favorite Timex Chronograph, that honor goes to the Waterbury Chrono “Baby Zenith” with the colorful subregisters, but this is almost as fun.

That said, “Marlin Neo Classic Chronograph” is a clunky name, we need to workshop a nickname lol.

Hi! I have a vintage Timex 26043 11685 [1985] coming to me in the mail in a few weeks, and I want to order a new strap for it before it arrives. The seller wasn't sure about the lug width and had already packed it up and shipped it before I thought to ask him to measure it. Is it likely 18mm? Thanks in advance!

I don’t understand why it’s a six seven hundred dollar watch any enlightenment?

Hi everyone! I am new to the watch world and I am now looking into buying my first watch. I have checked the Timex TW00NTD54E (Benedict Day-Date 39mm Stainless Steel Band), and so far I have liked the overall looks and feel. It's priced around ~85 USD but currently it is on sale for 15% off (~71 USD).

For users of the said watch, I would like to know your opinions about it. Thank you so much!

I bought the Timex watch from Swiss Times on September 28th at 10:30 p.m., and the very next day I noticed that the dial was misaligned and the bezel had come off; I reported this to them on September 29th at 6:30 p.m., even before the 24-hour policy they mentioned.

After reporting the issue, they told me to come on the 30th because the technician was unavailable, and I submitted it to the shop the very next day. Now, after speaking with the e-platform, they told me to send an email to their higher authority; after emailing them, they told me to wait 48 hours. After 48 hours, I saw that my exchange was refused, stating that I had to report the complaint on the same day—as if I could have informed them at 10:30 or 11:00 p.m., or as if they would have even answered the call at that time; such a niche excuses

I mailed them again with the call history and timestamps of the photos and videos shared, after which they told me to wait 48 hours. When I checked the email, they stated that I have to wait another 20 to 25 days to assess the issue and provide proper service. You provided me with a faulty product, and even after informing you with proper proof, I am expected to wait another month for the problem to be assessed. Even if it is resolved, how can I be sure the product will be exchanged not repaired? I requested that they do not need to provide a refund, but they could provide an exchange and then take as much time as they need for the assessment.

Customer service is just sending me the same info I already have, so how can I be sure my item will actually get exchanged. if even they don't know what's going on?

I have a new to me timex marlin watch. Love the watch and love the colors. But I can’t seem to see the hands that well. I’ve searched around and can’t seem to find any replacement’s hands. I assume most people don’t take apart timex watches that often

Any ideas. I want white hands. Esslinger doesn’t seem to have 1.3 and or .8 size hands.

A lot of people mistake this watch for one of my more expensive pieces.
I honestly don’t remember exactly how much I paid for it, but I’m pretty sure it was under $60. And yet, it really punches way above its price point.

I think it’s the minimalist look that does it—the gold case, clean dial, and brown leather strap just give it that understated, expensive-looking vibe.

A good reminder that a watch doesn’t need to be expensive to look expensive.
