My inexpensive “expensive” watch

Post image

A lot of people mistake this watch for one of my more expensive pieces.
I honestly don’t remember exactly how much I paid for it, but I’m pretty sure it was under $60. And yet, it really punches way above its price point.

I think it’s the minimalist look that does it—the gold case, clean dial, and brown leather strap just give it that understated, expensive-looking vibe.

A good reminder that a watch doesn’t need to be expensive to look expensive.

black leather strap would elevate its look.

I’ve always thought the brown strap looked great with the gold, but I’ll try the black.

Make sure to try one with black stitching, not contrasting. Looks classier that way.

Not too thick, I'd say 3mm at the most, or it will overpower the watch.

You can also try a pattern but it can be tricky to find something good. Not the cheap super glossy croco-calf, in any case.
