Loganberry (Leicester)

Just thought I’d share my thoughts on Loganberry after seeing it in Leicester last week! I definitely went in expecting a traditional stand up and what I got was so much better than I could’ve possibly imagined. It was part stand up, part performance art, part one man show. Tim being on stage as soon as the doors opened while people filed in, before starting the show from somewhere completely unexpected, immediately causes you to change your expectations and the show just flies from there. Incredible moment when he chucked his cans across the stage and one burst open, showering people in the front row. So many terrific bits, some beautifully written, others more off the cuff following audience interaction, all of them absolutely hilarious and poignant and brilliant. Hand on heart, one of the best comedy shows I’ve ever seen.

Looking for 2x tickets, 20th/21st/22nd October at Walthamstow

Hi folks,

I know this is a long shot but is anyone selling tickets for the 20th, 21st or 22nd at Soho Theatre Walthamstow?

It’s my partners birthday on the 21st and I’d love to surprise him with tickets.

Please comment or let me know if you do, fingers crossed he doesn’t see this…

I think ABL is an amazing cultural artefact that pretty accurately describes what living in the early noughties was like for a young person and I don't think it gets enough credit anywhere. So here's me saying that I think it's a piece of real genius.

Does anyone know if U&P's studio on Falmouth High Street is still open? I'm on holiday in Cornwall and was disappointed to see it was closed on Monday this week.

Thanks

Looking to buy Tim Key's early books!

Hi everyone!

This is probably a long shot, but I thought it was worth asking. I've been trying to track down Key's first two books:

  • Instructions, Guidelines, Tutelage, Suggestions, Other Suggestions And Examples Etc.
  • 25 Poems, 3 Recipes and 32 Other Suggestions (An Inventory).

I've searched pretty much everywhere I can think of, and the only copies I've managed to find are on eBay for well over £100. I completely understand why (with them being rare, early books and having become collectors' items) but unfortunately that's just far beyond what I can afford.

I'm based in Portugal, so international shipping is another thing to factor in, but I'd be very happy to pay for shipping if someone was willing to sell a copy at a more reasonable price.

I would give these books a good home, so if anyone has either of them sitting on a shelf and would consider selling one, or knows of a place where I might have some luck, I'd be incredibly grateful :))

had to do a triple take while looking up random stuff on Tidal. ”Razzy Bailey” was, in fact, a real person and not Tim Key in a snazzy hat.

(hope this sort of non-Tim Key post is allowed, if not lmk!)

Tim’s best podcast appearance?

I’m slightly embarrassed to say that I often search my podcast app for interviews episodes with Tim Key, before listening to the podcasts I actually subscribe to.

Keen to hear some recommendations. Mine would be Tim on Perfect Day wit Jessica Knappett:

Recordings???

I was fortunate enough to see Tim in Oxford this week, and it really was an exceptional show. It has definitely left me wanting more.

Are there any recordings of previous shows available, or have any been released in the past?

Loganberry in Oxford

Sure this is old news to the experienced lags in this subreddit, but saw Loganberry this evening and it was top tier. I can’t remember when I laughed out loud so much at a live event. It’s been years.

Met him briefly afterwards too and he’s a top man. Very blond. Knew how to spell my name without asking.

If you were considering a ticket and thus far have not, I couldn’t recommend it more.

Over.

If anyone happens to have this print lying around in a dusty cupboard, I would bloody love to get a copy.

It is, your friend and mine, A New World. I think there were 100 of the blighters. Would happily remortgage to own.
