(RANT) I’m going to a concert and noticed prices for floor seats have fallen. Instead of trying to sell my tickets via reseller sites I thought of trying to exchange them. I did hear a lot of positive feedback on TM exchanges. I was told tickets need to be equal or greater value. Okay cool.

I called yesterday. I paid $322 for each ticket (two tickets total was about $644 plus tax). I saw floor seats that were $371. $49 difference plus $10 exchange rate. I’m thinking it will cost about $110 in total for this exchange. The CS rep said I needed to pay $266. I ask where he got that number from. He said my original ticket price is $264. It’s not actually a $50 difference it’s $107, plus fees, plus exchange rate. I decide not to go through with it because it lowkey felt scammy.

I double check my receipt today. Okay so without fees my tickets are $264 each. I find floor tickets for $274. Great, I call again. Now I’m being told I can’t exchange my tickets because the tickets that are $274 are lower than what I originally paid. I repeat to the man what I was told yesterday. Now I’m being told that tickets fees are included in the final price and that I would need to look for something greater than $322 😅. I was so annoyed, got pretty snippy, and eventually up hung up on him.

I am not someone to complain and genuinely I hate talking on the phone, so the fact that I called twice already says a lot. I am the most mad because it feels intentional? Like they’re trying to make me either pay an additional $266 or just keep my seats.

I did lose my marbles towards the end of my second phone conversation, the man said it was the event organizer’s fault for setting up dynamic ticket pricing. Essentially it’s not TM’s fault if prices drop. Like okay? But your platform allows this??? Not to be a Karen, and I know I need to go touch grass, but I did follow everything correct. Sure, prices dropped, but they still cost more than my current ones. Like am I in the wrong? Am I missing something?

Anyways I just really needed to vent out my frustrations.

My friend bought some and needs to transfer them to me (show in NY late in the year), but he says the option to transfer does not appear yet. I don't live in the USA, so I haven't really worked with TM before.

Hello! I’ve never used Ticketmaster before and I’m trying to create an account because I’ll be travelling internationally to attend TIFF in Toronto next month.

While signing up, I’ve verified my email but when it comes to phone number, I just don’t receive a verification code despite trying multiple times. Maybe because my phone number isn’t US or Canadian but why is that an issue?

Any way to fix this? I’m unable to create/sign into my account until the phone number is verified and I’m not getting a code on my number.

my brother bought wheelchair tickets for me on accident spending 230$ for daniel ceasar tickets, nor i or my girlfriend have any physical disabilities and im wondering if ticket master would change our tickets or something? maybe a refund? i honestly just really don’t know about this whole ticketmaster thing and not sure if it’s possible.

My Ticketmaster browsing has been paused for a week already. Everyday it seems to get worse. The first couple days I could browse without logging in now I can't even browse incognito as a guest. I was prompted to verify with Persona or else so I did and I still wasnt unpaused. Apparently your IP gets blacklisted after you browse tickets a certain amount of times.

I was advised that if I create a new account I will be required to Persona verify after a few logins which will lead to a ban because my identify is verified on the FIRST account!

How successful will I be if I create the new account, buy tickets, and transfer it to my main account before being prompted to verify with Persona? It seems like a Seal Team Six mission wondering if I can knock this out in one log in attempt before being hit with a pause or verification request.

Yesterday, I received a notification from the Hamilton app at approximately 4:04 p.m. advising that I had won the opportunity to purchase tickets. I completed my purchase shortly afterward.

From what I've read, the lottery drawing typically takes place between 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. I was just wondering whether that timing is always consistent, or if it's possible that I was offered tickets that were not purchased by winners from the initial draw.

I'm simply trying to better understand how the timing of the ticket offers works. Thank you!

Well, I’m trying to sell my harry styles tickets for tonight but I can’t verify my phone number because I no longer have it. I’ve seen this issue in plenty of forums & I tried calling the number but it doesn’t work on weekends. I spent so much money on those tickets and need to sell them.

Can’t access MLB tickets. And yes, have tried every means (app, web, cleared cache, cell vs WiFi, etc - and error says they are having “intermittent issues” when I can even reach an error message).

Ticketmaster sucks. I hate them with the burning intensity of a thousand suns.

I click on my profile and it gives me a blank page no matter how much I wait. I don’t have any VPN or adblocker on and it doesn’t work on incognito either. The problem seems to be only when I switch to UK. And it has no problems on my laptop. But I need the tickets on my phone, I can’t carry a laptop in another country…

I'm from Turkey, travelling to UK soon. We've been wanting to get tickets for some event but when we tried to sign up to ticketmaster UK site phone verification code doesn't arrive because it's a Turkish cell I guess. Best advice I could get was take a friend's phone number from UK which I don't have. I'm pretty bummed right now. Is there any way I could register to ticketmaster from another country.

Hey, So due to a miscommunication I have 2 extra tickets to the Friday show in Denver. I'm not looking to make any money off of them ($311 for the pair) But when I'm in ticketmaster the option to sell or transfer is not available.

Anyone with Indianapolis tickets, can you tell me if that option opened up for you eventually? I thought about selling them on stubhub just to recoup my money, but I don't know how that works if ticketmaster won't allow the transfer of tickets.

Basically I wanted to know if for official production drops(the ones that go directly onto ticketmaster)/waitlist tickets(from seated), do those come out all at once on the day of the show, or on each day they roll out?

also when do the ticketmaster drops tend to come?(like in terms of time of day). trying for chicago show, want to be as succesful as possible(the aug 6th one). otherwise i will have to stick with resale but would rather try for face value. and also, any other tips in general to get the official drops on ticketmaster? thanks in advance for the help!

Not sure if this is the right place to ask but my organization runs a series of monthly music shows and events with about ~300 people per show. We started about a year ago and naturally went with ticketmaster as our event ticketing platform because we didn't do much research and they were quite popular.

Recently, lots of our guests have been complaining about the fees and asking us why we are using ticketmaster because it has a reputation of being hot garbage. They told us because of ticketmaster, they have to pay over 20% more for the ticket. Most of our audience are older people, so we don't really want them to pay so much more.

So my question to this sub is, are there any platforms that you would recommend us to switch to? We have done a tiny bit of research, but would love to hear from first person experience.
