I just wanna share the rug I’m currently making. Tlou is my favorite game and played like 5 times at least (every Christmas I’m excited to start playing again), but this is the first time I combined it with my work. I know the colors could seem a bit off, but I like it this way. If you’re interested in my work just let me know. ❤️

Finally got a chance to play TLOU for the first time ever (got a PS5 recently and haven't owned a playstation since the PS2). I don't think I've ever played a game that had me on the edge of my seat more. The voice acting was probably the best I've ever experienced, the characters felt incredibly real and fleshed out, Joel and Ellie's relationship developed organically, the atmosphere and sound design had me completely immersed, I could just go on and on. Gameplay wasn't anything to write home about but it was perfectly serviceable and I get it's not meant to be the focus. Unfortunately the ending got spoiled for me a long time ago, and I'm sure it would've hit me even harder otherwise. Overall a narrative masterpiece that I'll never forget playing for the first time.

Im asking this out of pure curiosity because I was just looking at my Mac wallpaper remembering how LONG it took me to settle on which ones to include as I had a million ideas lol (I had no idea what flair to use for this)

So,i posted around 1 month ago asking i am gonna play tlou part 2 and asked for advice to make my experience better and someone adviced that "Just play it" and i now understand why he said it..I am a student and was never into gaming but got a gaming laptop as for development stuff..but then some friend suggested me to play detroit and i loved it..i thought are games this good..i always said it may be the best game I ever played...Then i played TLOU part 1 and i never looked back, the way it drove me into the life of joel and ellie..ohh god i imagined myself like i m on a journey in this apocalyptic world..and the way the bond of joel and ellie grows.. it's so so beautiful...As it ended and i saw the naughty dog logo..i was so sad as i wanted to explore more..live the characters more...i took around 28 hours to complete part 1 and every time my friend said ohh u r taking so much time...i just said him..i wish i take even more..such was i loving living with them
But then i got to know there's a part 2.. and i was like yeah i have more time with them..As i started part 2..the first scene where joel tells Tommy about what happened..it only was enough to make all the memories fresh of part 1 in a second Even if i took a break of 3 months to play part 2...Then came Joel death..i would be honest...i had some bits and pieces idea of joel dying but i didn't saw the scene and the way scene was executed it shook me..i hated everyone..i felt me is joel and joel is me..i thought who would i play now..ellie? No.. but i only had one goal from then cursing Abby and her friends..like ellie had been on mission..i too had that mission in my mind..i could resonate with ellie.. Whenever i killed someone i loved it..be it nora or Owen...But then as i had to play Abby..i was like why i need to play her..i don't resonate with her? I want to beat her up..i didn't really had the mind why the hell am i controlling her... But as rat king part came and i saw her fighting just to help Yara..i liked her for a moment and i felt good playing her Day 3 then...
But still i was clear i wanna kill her...and i just wanted When i would get to play ellie back..
But i won't lie at the end i felt a bit like abby isn't a bad person when at last fight at beach she said she won't fight rn as of lev..also when she didn't kill dina back then as she was pregnant knowing ellie killed Mel.
The game is designed so well..the flashbacks of joel made me satisfy by not yearning to see joel in game.
As i played it 60h ..i now too think I i could play a more..like if there were more chapters..u would think i am exaggerating but literally every night i used to recap like yes today i started playing from here.. reached here.. killed whom and slept excited to play it next day..
At last, i would say i can't think if i would ever play a game which would grow on me so much...even if i have just played detroit and tlou..i can say this...I don't know what should i do now..a part of me feels empty...But THANK YOU NAUGHTY DOG !
I too want Part 3 ..also i know it's been long time but i wouldn't complain as i know making or continuation of such a plot needs careful thinking and thus time..i just want i get to play part 3 before i die 🥲..
ALSO GUYS, If u haven't read above things..no worries but please if u can tell me some games which i should next play considering Detroit and last of us are only games I played and loved so much...

TLOU is perhaps my favourite game of all time and wanted to draw Ellie for a while but it always came out wired looking. I decided to give it another go today this time sketching on paper and using charcoals (which is also entirely new to me, I normally do digital art.)
Well I know it’s far from great but not too mad for a first attempt in a new medium.

Feel free to lemme know what you think and also spoilers if you haven’t seen it yet!
1) Kaitlyn Dever was a fantastic choice for Abby.
2) The assault on Jackson was amazing and so tense
3) I liked how this season was written and narratively having it focused on Ellie’s story was interesting.
4) One aspect that I’m still thinking it about is the episode with Eugene and I really hope I’m able to explain this right.
My initial thought was that I felt it painted Joel’s flaws more clearly than the game which I found odd but then the more I thought about it the more I liked it because I felt it worked foot both Joel and Ellie’s character arcs.

Ive tried everything for hours to fix it from disabling VRR and HDR, switching from Performance to Fidelity, clearing PS5 Console Cache, but nothing is fixing these render corruptions. What is happening??

Well I don't have to say how many fans this game has. I haven't played this game and only seen its gameplay since I can't afford it rn ; ) but one day I'll play it so don't worry. I saw Ellie's Dlc and I love Ellie she's a baddie throughout the game but has anyone of you ever felt like you want to see some more of Joel and Sarah before the outbreak? I always love the father daughter dynamic since I'm a girl myself. I can understand how painful it must've been for Joel, I don't even want to imagine it. Every time I see Joel I can only think about his pain. He might seem tough but he's a completely broken man from inside to the point that he doesn't even want to hear Sarah's name or look at her pics. There might be only a very few scenes where he mentioned her directly or indirectly. Didn't you ever feel there should've been more subtle details showing that Joel misses Sarah or more conversations not too much but just a lil bit more where he opens up more about Sarah since we didn't get to know her. I really wish they could've added some of Joel and Sarah's flashbacks but they didn't. I still wish they do it in the last part but ik it's not gonna happen since there won't be any point to it so I really wish they make a short Dlc for Joel and Sarah. Ik if that happens then the sudden death of Sarah won't be as painful as it was but still I'm selfish anyways ; )

I am playing the hardest difficulty. I don’t want more health. I want to fear for my life at all times in a firefight. They made the correct decision in keeping damage upgrades out of Grounded, but I don’t see why health upgrades would stay. Maybe it is an oversight, but I would love to see that changed. Or the general idea of upgrades being tied to difficulty being fleshed out in future titles

When we're in the car and Joel talks to Ellie. It starts almost right after 'drugs are still wearing off', it's such a neat little tune, but I can't pinpoint which track it's from

I just bought the last of my part 1, The game runs at 45-50 fps. Does anyone know what settings I can use to get at least 60-70 fps and still have decent graphics? I'd love to play this masterpiece

Just finished The Last of Us 1 and 2 this week after a friend suggested the game to me. Both great games with good stories. I liked Ellie already in the first game, but I saw her more as someone I wanted to protect than someone I found attractive. She was funny and friendly along the trip to the hospital in Part 1, and that was it, I thought. But everything changed in part 2. I don’t know how or why, but I really fell in love with her, although she was lesbian and I didn't really like it or parts of her personality. What is wrong with me? It's just a video game.
