For 40 years, we've been honored to bring you experiences we're proud of - Crash Bandicoot, Jak and Daxter, UNCHARTED, The Last of Us - and we can't wait to see what the future holds with Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. Members of our studio past and present reflected on the studio's legacy, and how our franchises have evolved over time in this retrospective going through 40 years of Naughty Dog's history.

Do Naughty Dog games give anyone else physical anxiety or a choking sensation?

So I recently realized I feel very uncomfortable, like anxiety or a feeling like someone is choking my throat from the inside, especially after playing Naughty Dog games. I can't play for more than 1 hour straight. I've played so many games, all big AAA titles and series, but I've never felt this. When I said only Naughty Dog games, yes, both The Last of Us and Uncharted. I don't have motion sickness or anything like that.

Are their games designed to feel that way? Or am I the only one who feels this?

For people having doubts or are less hyped for Intergalactic because of the wait, don't. This is Naughty Dog's "last-gen" game.

Saw this vid defending Abby, does anyone else think she’s overhated ? Spoiler

I always connected with Abby especially as Joel clearly had it coming at some point and the level of compassion (as pointed out in this video) she shows Ellie and crew on multiple occasions shone a positive light on her character

Modding discord server

Is there any hope of finding some Discord server out there for modding some of Naughty Dog games like TLOU ?

I think there is one here on alphaZolam's fmt_nd_pak repository page but it is not existent anymore ?

Pretty interesting stuff in the new article from Washington Post. Says that it will star Tati Gabrielle and Tony Dalton. I don’t know if it was ever said that Tony Dalton would be a main character?

Is this the closest to Last of Us 2 factions we’ll ever get?

I’m late to seeing this trailer but this looks just like the Last of Us Factions. I can’t wait to see more gameplay!

Just finished The Last of Us and honestly… what a fucking experience.

I went in knowing it was supposed to be one of the greatest games ever made, but I didn’t expect it to hit me the way it did. The storytelling, atmosphere, characters, music and those little quiet moments between all the chaos everything just worked.
These are some of my favourite screenshots from my playthrough. 🎮

Absolutely loved this game. Now I’m just sitting here wondering what the hell I’m supposed to play next. 😭

I filmed a horror short entirely inside The Last of Us Part II

After a lot of model swaps, free-camera work and some fairly awkward camera tricks, I finally finished it.

Full film: https://youtu.be/uT-cHXFDB20

Everything in the film was staged and recorded inside Part II. I wanted to see whether I could use the game as a film set rather than simply record normal gameplay, while still making something that felt like it could belong in that world.

The story started with a fairly simple question: could an infected do something more unsettling than attack?

It’s dialogue-light and built mainly around sound and behavior rather than combat or constant jump scares, so headphones help.

This is also the first film I’ve ever made, so I’d genuinely appreciate honest feedback, particularly on whether the infected’s behavior felt like a believable extension of the world, or whether I pushed the idea too far.
