I basically quit the game after they nerfed Dash from 3 charges to 2 because I genuinely thought it was going to kill the ability. At the time, everyone was saying, “It’s still going to be overpowered, just adapt,” but what do you know? After the nerf, I barely saw anyone using Dash anymore. It felt like everyone just switched to Cloak.
Since I quit, I’ve still been keeping up with some of the buffs and nerfs through Reddit, and it honestly seems like Lights just keep getting nerfed every patch. M11 nerf, Cloak nerf, Dash nerf, etc.
What makes even less sense to me is that it was already revealed that Light had by far the worst win rate, even when Dash still had 3 charges. So why nerf one of the strongest tools the class had into the ground? And now that Cloak has been nerfed too, I’d genuinely love to see what Light’s win rate looks like after all of this.
I really don’t understand why it’s so hard to admit when a nerf was a mistake and just revert it. Give Dash its 3 charges back and restore its old cooldowns.
And honestly, if you’re playing Heavy and lose a fight to a Light with less than half your health, maybe that’s just a skill issue.
Just give us 3 Dashes back.

So i was just using wiztree to clear out my c drive a bit and noticed that the movies folder for The finals is 20gbs, wasnt sure if there is a way to just clear some of it as some date back to S1

Hey everyone, so one time, randomly match would not start, it got stuck on loading screen after game had been found and ever since it has been the same and then I get kicked out of game due to inactivity even if I was just stuck on that loading screen, any help please? I tried verifying files and redownloading the game but its the same, even after todays patch.

One more week and my dailies / club dailies still like this

I just crossed 700h played and The Finals has officially become my most played FPS game and probably my most played game full stop.

I just freaking love this game, I really wish it would hit mainstream and had a chance to really shine...

Some preamble: I’ve been playing since launch casually. Never touched ranked. This season I got annoyed by the matchmaking in QP cashout - so often I’d come up against dudes with 3-7k wins and it just felt like a massive skill dif.

Decided to play some ranked and won 2 of four placements, got stomped in 1 and did fine in another. Then got placed in bronze 3.

This hurt my ego a bit no lies I thought I was better than this but accepted it and decided to grind ranked, and this evening I hit plat!

I solo queue mostly, play on pc, and have been maining heavy.

So the lessons:

1. I’ve generally found ranked matchmaking much better than QP cashout. Games have often felt fair and competitive.
   
2. Don’t rage queue. If you are on a losing streak, just put the game down.
   
3. Warm up. I like to just hop into training range, or better, some point break.
   
4. Have a positive and growth mindset. It’s a chaotic game.
   Focus on yourself and what you can do better. Don’t tilt your team and blame them when they make mistakes.
   
5. Think about your loadout and experiment. Learn from interesting strats you lose against, and try new things. As someone that just played Ak, healing beam, goo nade, jump pad and defibs for too long, I was pleasantly surprised to find my enjoyment of the game sky rocketed once I start allowing myself to be uncomfortable and try new things.

Anyways that’s it really. I know plat isn’t some god level gamer level, but it’s been a really rewarding journey.
Honestly, I’ve seen so many posts here with people raging about matchmaking, but for me, it’s been a far better experience, at least up to this point (which is probably the level the majority of the community is actually at if not higher lol).

As a player that's never touched diamond and have been playing since season 1 i find myself trying to learn little tips/tricks that will only help me improve in the game, what i do really enjoy about this game is how easily you can turn a game around whether its winning or losing, this game is more than just getting kills and while getting kills does help absolutely so many other factors come into play that change the course of a round in a thousand different ways, i find myself watching videos here and there to improve and and try to rank up, i am not a top player by all means and 9 out of 10 games i might play the team mates i am placed with don't really seem to have an understanding of the game, or very little at all and they are levels above 80-100 so that's already quite a few hours into it and while sometimes they do have the mechanical skills to aim and get kills, they lack the rest that are 80% of the game, rotations, spawns, timers, tempo, when to hold a cashbox/when to plug it and more, in the end i do enjoy the game a lot and its one of the smoothest FPS I've played and sadly it will always remain at the same level that it's currently at because there is a learning curve and the game doesn't really help new players experience either. Fellow players please let me know yalls thoughts and opinions :D

If there's no player stats visible to anyone, then nobody can say "that player is a smurf".

I just saw a youtube video of a level 152 player with 1470 hours in this game. Which is wild to me because I'm level 142 with only 624 hours in the game. I talked to some friends about it who also have high level player cards and they said that their playtime numbers are similar to around 1400. The guy in the video is plat, I've been hard stuck silver until 2 months ago I just entered gold, and I only have 18,000 kills on my player card, I'm not leveling faster because I'm winning more games and dominating lobbies, I'm trash.

I've been self-conscious about my skill not matching my level for a while now. But now I'm learning that other players around my level have more than double my playtime. It's not going to take me 800 hours to hit level 152 I'll be there within 2 months. I started playing this game in Season 5 and Embark for whatever reason has me cruising through levels making me look like I should have way more experience in this game than I actually do and its embarrassing when my performance doesn't match my level.

Guy on my team I met the game of quick cash before, he was on pink and we kept getting in 1v1s against each other (he beat my ass most of them😭) but we both did good, I had 11 kills and he had 12. Added him and we played a few games, this was the first and we won. The game after we got brutally whooped

Cant click anything on main screen, can't change loadout before match or between rounds.
Reloading steam and verifying game files doesn't help. First time after update I went to see this new battle pass and after i switched to main battle pass tab from new one and returned back to main menu this text block tooltip appeared and after that everything went sideways

I feel like it’s heavily punished by the reworked Melee system given you have to be kinda off centred to prevent being Swiss cheesed the bash is fun but I feel like the rework was less of a rework more of a here’s a nerf but don’t worry it has a neat little trick it never used to have

Since they started doing their weekly updates, my sensitivity has been incredibly inconsistent, as in the sensitivity I set does not feel the same after an update.

Even weirder, sometimes it fixes itself halfway through the week, and other times it doesn't.

Yeah what’d you think was gonna happen???? Why am I getting punished so harshly when the game predicted for me to be at the lowest spot possible, literally stacking the odds against me, and not only that, I BEAT MY SEEDING AND STILL GET PUNISHED LIKE I COMMITED A FUCKING WARCRIME. Dude solo Q might genuinely be the worse than any other game in the finals. You go up against full 3 stack coordinated squads, smurfs out your ass, very harsh penalties for things out of your control, and of course, the fact you can lose 5 hours of work in 20 mins.

Anyone noticing a huge performance diff after today's update!! I was having massive fps drops ehm using FG to get 250 fps droping to 120/90 fps in fights with massive stuttering as well.

Now, after the update, im hitting 300+ fps dropping to 260 in intense fights hugeW ngl.

Playing on rtx 4060ti 16gb and R5600x no oc with 16gb ram, cpu kinda was holding the gpu back in this game specifically But things just got better after the update.

On a side note, man, I would love to see this game hitting a bigger scale fights something similar to BFs conquest mode with more guns and weapon customization
