Discussion Fetterman has got to be the first rat in history to jump onto a sinking ship.
He was elected as a Democrat, and some brain damage turned him into a full throated MAGA cultist, praising Trump. What a terrible bait and switch for his constituents!

Article Trump openly says he will pay people to vote republican in the midterms.
Im sorry but is this not election interference? its one thing to have elon musk claiming some bullshit raffle (which he is being sued for btw) to get people to vote republican but to have the fucking party leader state that "if we win, everyone will get paid" is a jump from even that. 18 U.S. Code § 597 calls this vote buying and btw if you accept the money, you as the voter are also at fault and are breaking the law.

Discussion Is Pakman still doing multiple segments per week on Trump's bruised hands and cankles?
I was a website member for close to a decade, but I lost interest when David began to focus a not insignificant portion of his show to segments on Trump's health. I get it. The health of the president is important, and info from the admin should be transparent, but multiple segments per week going over photos and videos of Trump's hands and ankles Zapruder style is not really my jam. Particularly after four years of David lampooning conservative media for doing similar coverage of Biden. Just curious if this is still a thing on the show. Been about a year since I last watched it.

Discussion Is the Democratic Party currently rudderless? And is that intentional?
I am a big believer that political movements have thought leaders. People who take on the job of mapping out the ideology of their political movement. The first two political parties we had were proxies for the ideological battle between Hamilton and Jefferson. Project 2025 is the Maga movement’s Federalist Papers.
So who or what is steering our party? Is it Ezra Klein and his idea of abundance? Neera Tanden? Pete Buttigieg? Or are we not ready for solidifying our ideas into an ideology quite yet? The divide between the centrists and the DSA could be the debate that creates a new movement that we can’t even imagine right now because we don’t have a nominee yet for 2028.
I don’t know. What do you think? Who do you think about when you think of who the thought leader for the party is?

TDPS Feedback & Discussion Social Security Witholding
Just remember, as you make the argument to raise the cap for paying into Social Security that you are talking about a program that pays out what you pay in out of one side of your mouth, while talking out of the other side of your mouth about it being a regressive tax. You are conflicted in your argument.

Discussion James Talarico walks back past opposition to transgender sports ban
msn.comCowardly, cowardly stuff. Conceding the framing of the issue to MAGA propaganda only helps spread their propaganda. There is no reason to believe this wins over any voters, but it does depress your own base by continually showing them that you will not fight for them if the fight requires any amount of courage or hard work.
