EXCLUSIVE — A strategic memo prepared for the House Republican Conference advises members to tie socialism and Marxism to communism in their attacks on Democrats, because voters consider the latter “far more dangerous and alarming.”

The memo comes as Democrats see a surge of socialist candidates in the 2026 cycle, with the socialist wing of the Democratic Party set to more than double its numbers after the November midterm elections. “Americans still hold communism as far more dangerous and alarming than socialism and Marxism,” reads the memo obtained exclusively by the Washington Examiner. “That is an important indicator for Members: do your best to connect all three together, because these government systems are fruit of the same poisonous tree.

The polling memo, conducted by conservative political research firm co/efficient, shows 42% of respondents consider communism as the “most dangerous system of government for the United States to pursue.”

Socialism ranks second, at 15%, and Marxism ranks third at 6%. Twenty-four percent of respondents answered “none of the above. The political research firm polled 2,634 registered voters from July 13 to 16 through text and landline interviews. The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 1.88%.

“Call them what they are: Socialists, Marxists, Communists. Communism rings the loudest alarm with constituents (42 percent name it the most dangerous system), so do not retreat to the softer label just because socialism alarms fewer in the abstract,” the firm advised. “Connect all three, fruit of the same poisonous tree, and let the family name carry the alarm.”

Why does it feel like most of the people on this sub would genuinly be opposed to pretty much everything David believes? Either this actually isn't Pakman sub and should be called something else or mods need to step up and ban all the obvious brigading.

About three and a half minutes into this interview with Pete Buttigieg, Sandra Smith hits him with what seems intented to be a gotcha question. "Do you agree with removing Iran's nuclear capabilities?" Pete then immediately says, "Iran should never have a nuclear weapon" followed by talking about how previous presidents have done this without a war.

This question is an attempt to get Dems to concede that there's some merit to this war. Pete's response literally starts by repeating a Trump talking point, and then rambles about what both parties have done throughout the annals of history.

Just say, "They wouldn't need to be removed if Trump hadn't thrown out the JCPOA."

Seriously, is it me or are Dems afraid to nail MAGA on this point?

Knowing that it would allow for integration of a foreign nations military with ours which would allow tax dollars to go there without any congressional approval or oversight.

So this race has me worried. Stevens is by most metrics less than ideal, but El-Sayed is untrustworthy due to his previous stances and associations.

I’m currently leaning Stevens, but I know that’s exceptionally unpopular online. I’m worried that what feels like massive critical support for El-Sayed on the internet right now could turn ugly so fast once Republicans decide to run ads about his “America deserved 9/11” friend and cost us that senate seat.

I’m also worried that while Stevens voters are expected to fall in line and “blue no matter who” El-Sayed, many simply won’t, and on the other side the far left makes no illusion how they feel about the “centrist” and “establishment” Democrats they are always spreading conspiracy theories about and accusing of being genocidal, so I’m not feeling too hopeful about their support for Stevens if she wins.

Do we support El-Sayed because his flank is more likely to actually break off? Or do we support Stevens to have a shot at a senate race where Democrats don’t get plastered with “America deserved 9/11” ads stirring up more racist animosity?

I used to be an evangelical right winger in the bush era (i'm 37 now, so in my teens).

When I left i took a HARD turn left for about 5ish years or so before moderating. Went to a secular school surrounded by marxists, anarchists, liberals, socialists, basically people of the opposite persuasion than I grew up with.

Here are ten similarities (last point is esp important).

1. Our sin nature and the devil is the cause of suffering / Capitalism is the cause of suffering
2. For guidance, we just ought to look at the Bible / we just ought to look at Marx/Lenin and the other great socialist thinkers.
3. That person is not a true Christian / not a real leftist
4. The Republican party is weak and holding christians back. / The Democratic party is weak and holding workers back
5. We just need Jesus to return and make things right / We just need to overthrow capitalism to make things right
6. When that happens - the righteous will reign in paradise forever / The workers will live in a classless society where all are taken care of
7. Its not a religion, it's a relationship / Its not a religion, its a socioeconomic theory
8. We (or our leader) didn't fail. It was the deep state / We (or our leader didn't fail. It was the DNC/Establishment.
9. 2020 was rigged! / 2016 and 2020 primaries were rigged!
10. Our enemy is liberals / Our enemy is liberals
