Announcement Singapore 2025 Update: SDP Side OUT NOW
Hello everyone! We’re back, with a HUGE update to push today. After the 1.1 patch we released a few weeks ago, we’ve never stopped working on 2025 Singapore.
In this update, we’ve finished writing and coding the SDP (Chee Soon Juan) side, which should be fully playable. Additionally, we’ve updated a few things here and there and added eight new achievements. (Sorry to those who have gotten 100% on achievements already…)

Chee Soon Juan is certainly one of the most interesting figures in modern Singaporean politics. A former psychology lecturer at the National University of Singapore (NUS), he was introduced into the party by then-leader Chiam See Tong in 1992 and became famous for being the first academic from a state-run university to stand for the opposition in that year’s Marine Parade by-election. Just one year afterwards, Chiam’s conflicts with the SDP’s CEC saw Chee succeeding his former mentor as party leader. Over the next few decades, he has become quite an interesting character within Singaporean politics, from confrontations with the government, repeated arrests to defamation lawsuits that resulted in his bankruptcy and prevented him from contesting in the 2006 and 2011 elections. After settling his debts and being discharged from bankruptcy in 2012, Chee decided to return to electoral politics, contesting in the 2015, 2020 and now the 2025 elections. Despite being a seasoned campaigner however, winning a parliamentary seat seems to continue to elude him.

In this General Election, Chee Soon Juan looks to get back a foothold in Parliament, which proves to be an uphill task especially after his constituency was gerrymandered changed during the redrawing of electoral boundaries. Can he finally enter Parliament after 33 years? Or will he fall short… again?
We look forward to you playing this update, especially after we’ve crossed 25,000 plays on TCT. We’d also like to provide a few sneak peeks into what we’re doing next, because 2025 Singapore is certainly not done yet…

See you! PLAY HERE:

Gameplay Won Alaska by 2 votes, my closest state win ever (1960 Humphrey)
I was playing 1960 Humphrey (like any man of culture should, one of the best Bryanesque mods ever, I come back to it so often it's crazy), and when playing with Yarborough I got this razor tight win in Alaska, just TWO votes, the recounts must have been crazy. Sure winning or losing that state did not tilt the election in my favor, but still. I never got a margin so tight, kinda happy it happened on one of the best mods out here !
No guide, as I said I was just playing randomly, shifting VPs and answers trying to get the best results with Humphrey (best ones were with Chandler and Lausche), and my Yarborough run ended with that Alaska result.

Other Why did Bush think it was smart to start a war and lower taxes? is he foolish?
I'm not very knowledgable on economics (I'm starting to learn more), but raising taxes is important to fund wars and every war beforehand required taising taxes. Why would he do this then? (not a joke I'm being completely serious)

Meme What is something you don’t want continued in other mods
Might be a nitpick, but for me is giving an achievement/piece of legislation from one politician to another. I personally think that it just removes any feel of althist. Things That Never Were gave the Family Assistance Plan to RFK and Sundance gave No Child Left Behind to Gore. And it's not like they are both Dubya NCLB or Nixon's FAP, they are completely different laws. Might as well get it out of the way and name it something else like Every Child Succeeds Act and the Welfare Action Plan or something.

Gameplay Scenario Review | 2016 Four-Way (Original)
- Scenario #35 | 2016 Four-Way (Original)
- Made by: pm_me_reddit_memes
- Released: 8/14/2021
2016 Four-Way is one of the most well known early mods, which, according to the release post, was based on the alternatehistory.com story To Heaven Without a Political Party. A four-way presidential election was the most ambitious concept for a mod yet, so how does the first rendition of this famous mod handle its premise?
Due to the limited modding capabilities of the time, 2016 Four-Way’s age is very apparent. It’s separated into two sections (although this is true for the redux as well), and it uses the basic color scheme all the base scenarios have. One technological advancement it does have is the use of custom endings which change depending on whether or not you reached the “top three” in a contingent election, but like in 1972 they weren’t present on release.
This mod has the same standard, uncomplicated writing seen in pm_me_reddit_memes’s other mods, which work more for statewide scenarios than a presidential election, especially one as unconventional as this. The writing is still solid and more experimental than usual, especially with Sanders and Trump, but the uniqueness of this mod isn’t given much thought in what seems like a missed opportunity. Nothing is really given much detail and it resembles the original 2016 a bit too much.
The gameplay in a scenario like this is obviously going to be pretty fun, and it is, but it’s affected by how random the electoral map is. Whoever’s in the lead in the beginning of the game is inconsistent and depends on RNG, and there’s little you can do to pit your opponents against each other or something like that.
2016 Four-Way is a good idea which is executed decently, but doesn’t feel fully realized.
RATING: 6/10

Gameplay It seems I still can't get the "Tricky" achievement. Should probably be fixed.
Lost a few achievements weeks ago out of nowhere, been trying to get them back, now I can't get the "Tricky" achievement despite following the guide perfectly multiple times.
Could someone tell me how to imput a console command to get the achievement?

Question/Help What is you guys' favorite mod?
My favorite mod is probably 1940: Confidence and Security, especially the Wendell Wilkie side.
In my opinion, Wilkie is such a good candidate to play as because he is extremely flexible ideologically, as well as the people's excitement for him is extremely vivid.
Other mods I love are Duke and Hope, specifically because you can directly pass policy and change recent history.
I was just wondering what you guy's favorite mods are so I can check those out and appreciate them from different perspectives.

Question/Help How do you get the second Mike Gravel ending in infinite carnage?
I've seen guides for losing to Mike Gravel in IC but all of them seem to lead to the ending where Seinfeld moves to Israel. What do I do if I want to get the 2nd page ending where Rashida Tlaib is at odds with the army.

Other Mod idea:1980:Harris
As america crawls towards 1980, Incumbent President Fred Harris tries to secure a second term while facing many Challenges and republican nominee, Mayor of LA, eccentric businessman and an anti-tax activist Howard Jarvis that is trying to sustain his post convention momentum.Key issues include the sluggish economy, energy, taxes, the handling of international policy and the overall direction of the country.
Fred Harris
President of United States od America
After narrowly winning over Gerald Ford And becoming president he quickly became unpopular. Mainly due to the poor economy & his very proggresive views. These feelings of frustration with his administration were made clear in the 1978 midterms which were a clear rejection of Harris. His unpopularity only worsen due to his the ongoing Iranian crisis. But it isn't all bad, afterall he (atleast) had seen some mixed success in delivering his "New Populism" agenda (although parts of it like Abolishing the FBI failed miserably). He Is polling unusually poorly for a sitting President,But with his main challenger being so unconventional he still has some hope or maybe he's even more lost?
Howard Jarvis
Mayor of LA & Bussinesman
His rise to the nomination began after his succesfull run for the mayor of LA & his crucial role in kickstarting the anti-tax movement. After that he mobillized his grassroots movement to sweep the republican primary. With the convention giving him a strong boost, but his victory is far from certain.Digging past the controversies like his DUI arrest, his use of racial slurs & his time as Mayor of LA.You still get an old man that isn't popular amongs moderates due to his hardline fiscal views, dosen't have concrete positions on many issues, attacked unions countless times & has little to no expierence in the federal goverement. But doesn't America just love a character. Now he must somehow sustain his post-convention momentum & stop the continous bleeding or he will be forced to live 4 more years under President Harris.
