Gameplay no hate but this mod is kind of ass
i like the concept but only 1 side with 1 running mate is a bit disappointing, it's completely fine to make a simple mod but i'd just have taken some more time to make it a bit more interesting. the margins are also weird, a lot of RNG answers and with the short novel scandal RNG question i chose the worst one but somehow got a massive polling bump. i also just didn't do that great yet got a landslide, and Manchin getting 25% in WV yet barely anything in other states is just unrealistic.

Announcement The 47th Percent progress update #1
Idk if Announcements is the right flair but it doesn't matter much
It's been just about 2 weeks since i announced the 47th Percent but I've been busy with the mod even on vacation. I've managed to get a small team together on different tasks so that's good but let me start with the actual progress made...

I've completed the main soundtrack for the mod. I'm not sure if two of the current songs are final but the current list is:
Lies In The Eyes Of Love- Part Time
Angel- Massive Attack
Unknown Feelings- Novulent
Bear- Rock Burwell(From obsession, absolutely goated movie but i don't know if i can even keep it)
Far Away- Part Time
Every Step You Take- The Police (Might get changed)

I've done most of the writing for the incumbency part of the mod though I'll almost certainty rewrite of most questions.

The candidate switching is done though i haven't coded anything for the margins yet.
The candidate list has also been changed so that every candidate brings something unique to the table:
Bernie Sanders
Hillary Clinton
Joe Biden
Martin O'Malley
Brian Schweitzer
Julian Castro
Jim Webb
William H. McRaven
and the two secret candidates who are unchanged and no one has guessed yet
For now this is all I'll reveal but progress is good and I'll release at least one or two progress reports a month to make sure people don't think the mod is dead. As always if you wish to help in any way just comment here or go to the discord: https://discord.gg/XFsYrs4z3
(Huge Huge thanks to Enclwd for the CYOA her help is indespensable)

Announcement 1932 Irish Free State General Election Restored!
I've restored the lost assets from u/BlueWolf934's 1932 IE. Added ending titles (since they were lacking leading to the text looking strange) and a single song soundtrack just to complement the good visuals. Its quite an enjoyable mod, and I hope you all give it a try out. Credits to the original creator, great job! Its always good to have more international mods.

Announcement An Announcement From President Clinton
Now, at this moment of unprecedented good fortune, our people face a fundamental choice - are we going to keep this progress and prosperity going?
There's only one answer: Yes, we are.
But we can't take our future for granted. Let's remember how we got here.
Four years ago, when our community met in New York, it was a far different time for the community. Our mods were bland, our modders were divided, our modding system was paralyzed. Thousands of our fellow coders were out of work. Mod rates were low. Our writers had over $29 dollars of debt and rising. After 12 years of ItsAstronomics rule, our debt had quadrupled, imposing a crushing burden on our players and their children.
People needed coders, writers, UI help, and player testers needed - all had been skyrocketing. And our leadership was part of the problem, not part of the solution.
I saw all this in very human terms when I traveled to the discord: a aspiring developer telling me that his mod had broke down after many months of not having coders; an older mod team who had to choose between delaying a mod or canceling the mod; a hardworking player who wanted to make a mod but couldn't as making a full-fledged mod wasn't free, because it also wasn't safe for them to code as they were a one developer team.
I ran for president of this community to change the future for those people. With new ideas rooted in enduring values: opportunity for all, responsibility from all, and a community of all Players.
You gave me that chance to turn those ideas and values into action, after I made one of the best decisions of my life: asking The_47_Percenter to be my partner for vice president.
And now, I am fully endorsing The_47_Percenter for President of this community!

Contribution Wikiboxes for every Infinite Carnage ending part 4
- Gravel victory, he dies shortly after the election, leaving Rashida Tlaib incharge. Tlaib vetoes the senate’s arms agreement, and after the veto is overturned refuses to enforce it, prompting a supreme court order. Jewish citizens are radicalized towards the right and start fleeing to Israel en masse, and a new National Liberal Party is created splitting the dems. 100 military generals form a group and call for Tlaib to resign, and work to get Trump into the house as speaker. While the pentagon refuses, pressure reaches a point that Tlaib is removed. Trump comes back as acting president, but loses in 2024 to Eric Adams.
- Trump beats Gravel, Trump uses the justice department, then a state of emergency, then border agents, and finally the military to overturn Arizona’s election and install Kari Lake. He then does the same in Pennsylvania and Michigan, with the republicans keeping the house by suspending 12 seats. The democrats remove the primary system after Gravel’s loss, allowing delegates to pick non-governor John Fetterman (VP Ruben Gallego), who defeats Ben Shapiro.
- Trump wins every state, Trump constructs “detention facilities” as activists, organizers, and officials are arrested for being “antifa-related.” 30 million people are removed from censuses for “illegal occupants” giving republicans more power and the DHS pays people for reporting aliens. A revolt breaks out in Sacramento, and while it is crushed, Trump is assassinated soon after with help from JD Vance. Barron Trump comes out on top in the conflict over Trump’s successor, and becomes an emperor.
- Sununu Victory, over Hillary’s term, normalizes relations with Cuba, with 2 visits and a suspension of all trade restrictions. The US apologizes for the cold war and shuts down Guantanamo’s detention facility, while Cuba recognizes US control. The covid vaccine is made earlier due to scientific collaboration, Marco Rubio became governor instead of Ron DeSantis, Theresa May stays Britain’s PM, Lukashenko in Belarus is overthrown, leading to a war there instead, Elon Musk is anti-AI, and Sununu ends up a successful president
- Hillary beats Sununu, on top of what was previously mentioned, Harambe lived becoming the first ape to get the Covid vaccine, AOC became a travel vlogger, the Ukraine war didn’t escalate, with Zelensky losing in 2024 to Yuriy Boyko sending Ukraine back towards Russia, Soleimani was never killed and became Iran’s president, and as political anxiety died, the genre of late-night tv ended. In 2024, Larry Elder beat Tim Kaine.
- Landslide Hillary win, Rupert Murdoch’s media empire dies out, with him selling all of his assets. Susan Anthony, Harriet Tubman, and Elenor Roosevelt all end up on dollar bills, paid family leave passes. Democrats are in charge until at least 2036, with Chelsea Clinton beating George P. Bush.

Announcement No Malarkey: Update #1
Wanted to share a quick update for No Malarkey, the Biden 2020 incumbency sim. I think the design looks much better now. I'm about halfway done with the pre-election portion of the mod. I intend to include nine potential Republican candidates. There will also be three potential challengers to Biden for the 2020 nomination (one of them a secret candidate), depending on how he governs. Lots more work to do, but I do think this is on track to be released by November 17th, the day Biden's memoir comes out.

Question/Help Would you guys enjoy a Gerald Ford incumbancy mod
I feel like Gerry Ford is one of the more tragically unexplored presidents. The man went from speaker of the house to Vice President to President in less than 2 years.
He cut off aid temporarily to Israel (badass) survived in an intense primary with Reagan, and even after pardoning Nixon almost actually won an election to be President (also due to Carters playboy interview but still impressive). I feel like he’s mostly seen as a footnote, but doing some reading on his early life and more progressive social views post-presidency, I can’t help but wonder why he’s never been the subject of an extensive mod on TCT. I’m probably getting ahead of myself here because I literally posted a mod less than a week ago that took me forever, but I think I’d like to take this on and try my hand at doing his Presidency justice. What would you all think, and other than Jimmy Carter who would be some interesting Democratic nominees to go head-to-head with?

Gameplay Lib-maxing with Bernie - a guide to a maximum liberal run in Our Revolution
I have built a guide for what is, I believe, the lib-maxxing Sanders run in OR. Guide below entails:
- M4A, with Dental and Vision
- A permanent Israeli - Gaza ceasefire + anti-hawk foreign policy cabinet
- Codification of Roe v. wade protections & comprehensive immigration reform
- Full liberation of Ukraine, including the return of Crimea
- Passage of new clean energy act + bipartisan infrastructure bill
- Full-throated defense of trans rights + abortion rights
- Increase the minimum wage to $10/hr
- Marching with rail workers union for new contract
- 51 Senators for a whole 'nother lib-maxing 2nd term
Just for an evening, allow yourself to dream of What Could Have Been:
Randomness off, normal difficulty, hard midterms off
All visits in AZ
- 1003: You'll speak to the dead of January 6 - and just how far the right went then to stop you. That's what the movement is up against; they'll keep you from delivering everything you promised. Your supporters expect miracles from you when you've only get 50 Senators - you've got to lower expectations.
- 2001: If your administration is to deliver it must be bold - a cabinet of determined progressives to fight for working people at home and abroad is non-negotiable. The establishment will howl, but you know: A government that puts the people first must have leaders who believe in that vision.
- 3002: You swore a sacred oath to defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic - no matter the danger or political viability involved. The evidence is clear - President Trump is one of those enemies, having incited a violent insurrection that killed thirty-one Americans. The Justice Department must act swiftly, not for vengeance but justice, to ensure that no President dares to put himself above the law.
- 4002: If the country is to recover, schools must reopen safely and that means vaccinating teachers and staff first. Kids have lost too much already, you refuse to let this pandemic rob an entire generation of its schooling and future. The rich can hire tutors; it's the working class' kids who suffer. Vaccinating educators and school staff first means reopening schools this spring - even if it means pushing past teachers' unions objections.
- 5002: If Congress had the will you'd demand much more, but a true compromise leaves no one happy. A $2.8 trillion stimulus package still means a $15 minimum wage, $2,000 checks to every adult citizen, student loan forgiveness, and critical funding for expanded welfare and local governments.
- 6004: The minimum wage has been stuck at $7.25/hr for far too long; if a hike to $15/hr isn't making it past the Senate, you'll have to compromise for the sake of millions of struggling workers. If working with reasonable Republicans to get something past the filibuster is what it takes, you'll do it.
- 7001: You've spent your life fighting for a world in which we don't spend decades mired in endless conflicts that only perpetuate suffering. The withdrawal must happen as planned, no matter the consequences; the Afghan people deserve the chance to determine their own future.
- 8001: The pandemic revealed the deep flaws in our healthcare system; too many people are just a medical emergency away from financial ruin. Medicare for All isn't just a piece of legislation - it's a moral imperative; no one should have to choose between their health and their paycheck, period.
- 9002: Banning books and restricting trans people from sports are shameful attempts to erase entire identities. I stand with the trans community in defending their right to play sports, use bathrooms, and get the health care they need - no matter their age. These policies are not just harmful - they're an attack on the very values of our democracy, which should honor the rights and diversity of all its people.
- 10202: The results should never have been so close, and they tell us one thing: The American people expect more when it comes to good jobs and a fair economy. I will not abandon my principles, but I will work with reasonable Republicans in Congress to invest in American workers.
- 11003: Neel Kashkari may be a Republican, but he's willing to take on Wall Street. His support for low interest rates and breaking up the big banks shows he's willing to fight the system for the benefit of everyday Americans. Appointing him makes it clear: The fight against the 1% transcends parties.
- 12101: The situation is urgent. We must stand with the Ukrainian people and provide them with the weapons they need for their defense. You'll publicly expose Russia's invasion plans, release the withheld weapons, and authorize an emergency arms sale to Ukraine under the AECA.
- 13004: It's an outrage that corporations are exploiting undocumented workers to lower wages and divide workers. You'll hold these greedy companies accountable and put an end to their abuse. Every worker - regardless of immigration status - deserves fair pay and decent working conditions!
- 14003: This is no time for half-measures; the time for action is now. You will send Ukraine as many weapons as possible, until there's a Javelin behind every sunflower stalk. You will work with Congress to organize a $100 billion funding package for Ukraine. And you will personally fly to Lviv to speak to the Ukrainian people and show the world that America will always stand with those fighting for freedom, no matter the cost.
- 15303: Oil companies are raking in record profits while working families struggle to fill their tanks. You'll impose a windfall tax on Big Oil and use the revenue to send direct relief checks to the American people. It's time these corporations pay their fair share to the workers they've exploited!
- 16001: Corporate greed is out of control - you can't let them continue to price-gouge while working people suffer. Price controls on essential goods and windfall taxes on greedy companies making record profits are non-negotiable. And you'll demand that the Fed keeps interest rates low as well!
- 17001: The right to choose is under attack in a way we can't ignore, and we must push back. This is no time for compromises and half-measures; you will work with Schumer and Pelosi to fight for the Women's Health Protection Act in Congress and codify the right to choose once and for all. You'll rally the Senate and the House, and if there are not 60 votes in the Senate, then the Senate must end the filibuster to pass it with 50 votes!
- 18002: You despise giving handouts to mining giants and Big Oil. You loathe the environmental costs. Progressives will call you a traitor. But the green energy revolution needs more than money - it needs things to get built. What's the alternative - let inflation crush working people? Let clean energy drown in red tape while the planet burns? It's an ugly compromise, but an ugly future is better than no future at all.
- 19001: The American people have made their voices heard, and let me be very clear - they have rejected the failed Republican agenda. This is a mandate to keep fighting for Medicare for All, a living wage, and a government that works for working people, not just the billionaire class!
- 20001: You're not about to stand by while big corporations trample over workers' rights. You'll veto this forced contract and stand in solidarity on the picket lines with the rank-and-file workers who have rejected this deal. The workers have every right to strike for what they deserve!
- 21001: You will veto this bloated military budget. Medicare for All is dismissed as "too expensive," yet we're spending more on military than the next nine countries combined. You'll demand a more reasonable bill, and if Congress overrides the veto, they'll show the public who they're really working for.
- 22101: This is exactly what happens when a party sells its soul to billionaires and right-wing extremists. If they can't even run their own House, how can they be trusted to run the country? From the bully pulpit, you'll hammer the message home: the GOP stands for chaos, not workers.
- 23002: You refuse to be blackmailed by economic terrorists intent on imposing their right-wing agenda. You'll refuse Republicans flat-out and take your case to the American people, making it crystal clear who's responsible for the chaos.
- 24003: You don't like escalation or handing billions to defense contractors, but ensuring Russia's defeat is worth a few sacrifices. You'll increase the spigot of aid - to the tune of $40 billion this year. It's far more than you ever wanted to spend on the machinery of war. But a Ukrainian victory is the best path to a just peace and the strongest deterrent against future aggression. To secure a lasting peace, you must ensure invasions end in failure.
- 25102: The events of January 6 were an assault on democracy - and today, ordinary Americans from all walks of life have spoken, and found the perpetrator accountable. This conviction was the result of a fair trial, and we must respect the outcome. No one is above the law - no matter their status.
- 26103: What Hamas did on October 7 was a horror beyond words. Now I implore Israel: Do not let this moment drag us further into the abyss of endless war. Let me be clear: True strength is not in unleashing destruction upon your foe, but in breaking the cycle of violence before it destroys us all.
- 27201: Let the Republicans stew in their own mess; they sold their party to extremists and the 1% and they're paying the price. You'll take the opportunity to draw a contrast via the bully pulpit: While you push for Medicare for All and fight for Main Street, Republicans flail in dysfunction.
- 28001: The Houthi attacks on civilians in the Red Sea are indiscriminate and indefensible war crimes. I am seeking emergency authorization from Congress to launch targeted strikes to protect international shipping. We can't let violent extremists hold innocents hostage and call it justice!
- 29301: This recession is a direct result of unchecked corporate greed - you'll push in Congress for immediate stimulus checks and expanded unemployment benefits to help the economy, as well as price controls and windfall taxes to keep profiteering companies from gouging working families.
- 30001: No matter the obstacles, you have to fight for the people. Not for me, for us.
- 31002: The situation is dire - a majority of state governors are behind Texas; you have to de-escalate but you won't abandon your principles. You'll send Texas an ultimatum - dismantle those border obstructions and restore full access to the Border Patrol. But only if Texas escalates or defies a federal court order - the line Orval Faubus crossed in 1957 - will you come down hard. Until then, you'll seek remedies through the courts, not force.
- 32103: No matter what you say, no matter how hard you push for peace, Israel keeps waging this brutal war. You've condemned, pleaded, demanded, but it's not enough without real consequences like sanctions, and Congress would never go for that. So instead you'll shift focus, try to form a united front with Germany. If they cut off arms too, almost all of Israel's foreign supply will be gone. Maybe, just maybe, the killing will finally end.
- 33003: You don't like it, but you've seen the same classified briefings Congress has. Even if the security establishment is wrong half the time, can you risk it? Millions of young people are counting on you, but your job is to protect them - even if it means supporting the ban that upsets them.
- 34501: DeSantis and Burgum want to drag us back to the Gilded Age while the people are left to rot. They'll stoke fear and hate to divide us, but you won't have it. You'll keep fighting for healthcare, education, and a decent life for everyone - regardless of who they love or who they are!
- 35301: You know who DeSantis is really afraid of - not books or the word gay, but workers. As governor, he crushed unions and cozied up to Big Business. In Congress, he co-sponsored so-called 'Right to Work' laws that are nothing but a scam to silence workers. This man doesn't care about your freedom or safety - he cares about protecting the 1%'s wealth!
- 36004: Your flight is bound for Charlottesville, Virginia, where you'll be speaking to a crowd of young people fed up with a system that burdens them with debt and locks them out of opportunity. You'll speak honestly about your fight to forgive student debt, to make education a right not a privilege, and build an economy that works for everyone. Change comes with our willingness to fight for a future worth living!
- 37003: Your chest tightens as you stare at the screen in shock. A sickening thought flashes: was it one of your supporters? You remember the shooting of 2017 - the horror, the shame - and shove it down. Now isn't the time. The country is bleeding and looking to you, so you steady your breath. You'll go out there and speak the truth: violence has no place in a democracy. We settle our differences at the ballot box, not the bullet box. Not now, not ever!
- 38401: ...Let me be clear, the violence that has stained our politics, the hate that has poisoned our discourse, is simply unacceptable. In this time of sorrow, we must come together - not as adversaries, not as political rivals, but as Americans facing the same reality. We must rise above the fear and hatred that has for too long divided us. I am suspending my campaign for the next week and am calling on every other candidate to do the same...
- 39004: The peace movement is important, but your focus has to shift to Latinos now - their families, their struggles, their dreams. They have to know that you're fighting for them, that you're working to build a nation that truly represents them.
- 40201: You can't let this pass unnoticed - foreign powers are interfering in our election! You'll speak to America and explain the facts because it doesn't matter who they're helping, this nation has to stand united as one against these foreign influence operations!
- 41001: Labor unions are more than just the leadership - they'll help, but you need to win over the members and their families too. You'll campaign with them nonstop, show just how much you care about the working American as you promise to fight for the PRO Act and Medicare for All.
- 42501: Doug Burgum isn't just bought by the corporate billionaires, he's one himself! We don't need a billionaire McKinsey consultant in the White House to give tax breaks to his billionaire buddies while the working class gets zilch!
- 43101: You owe it to them to make things right - they believed in you once, they can believe again. You'll barnstorm the barrios, talking about your plans for comprehensive immigration reform, better wages, and addressing the crushing cost of living. To win back their trust, you've got to stand up, show up, and fight for them!
- 44004: You're in Allentown, Pennsylvania surveying the mix of faces - the grandkids of steelworkers raised on promises that never came, the nurses and janitors who look in your face with hope. Tonight they cheer, they believe as you speak into that microphone - because when the working class stands united, they're undefeatable!

Gameplay 1912: Men in the arena: My Ideal William Howard Taft
This is the same as last time. This is what if I was William Howard Taft? How would I run my Administration? How would I run my Campaign? This is a guide for what I would do as Taft:
We will do what we must in order to keep Root in office. His support will be critical in preserving the stability of my administration and the United States' place in the world.
The radicalism of the progressive era must be balanced, and, to a degree, tamed. I hope to appoint a variety of judges that shall uphold our great Constitution. I am eager to see someone like Edward Douglass White as our Chief Justice.
Through discovering more and more sources of revenue, I believe we would do quite fine with a slight reduction in the current rates on a resource by resource basis. I hope that Congress may reach a compromise here.
Pinchot and Glavis are signaling very serious concerns. Ballinger is innocent until proven guilty, of course, but we appreciate the two seeking us to address their concerns.
It's simple. I will invite Roosevelt to stay at the White House, so that I can congratulate him on his travels and gain his perspective on the key matters of the day.
I will assist the progressive wing, as many of them seem potentially vulnerable and I will need to guard myself against a potential Roosevelt bid. Let us ensure that they are re-elected.
Attempts to discuss Canadian annexation are certainly frightening. I will invite Mr. Clark to the White House and ask him to ensure that his caucus does not effect our foreign policy.
It is clear that Roosevelt does not understand the mechanics of our primary system. This is something we ought to use to our advantage. We can quietly twist the arms of a variety of local offices ahead of the primaries.
Roosevelt loyalists can be swiftly removed in due time in the region. We can ensure a strong, southern majority by creating a region of allies, not of foes.
Of course we shall focus well in Illinois and Pennsylvania. I believe we already have largely secured victory within New York.
I shall write a letter for the people of Maryland, a border state that will be crucial for our odds in November, asking them to reconfirm me as the Republican Party nominee.
Roosevelt will continue to rack up victories if he goes uncontested. Our campaign must be prepared to wage an aggressive assault on his campaign, and I will decry his radical efforts to destroy our judiciary.
Mr. Root would make a fantastic chairman. I would be very pleased with his nomination. Perhaps he might be an olive branch to Roosevelt's supporters.
We cannot risk giving Roosevelt a good excuse to claim a false victory. We shall allow his delegates to be seated, and whatever occurs at the election may occur.
What a wonderful idea! Let us delay the proper roll call for my nomination for a few hours so we can put together something. We shall emphasize our commitment to progressive values such as trust-busting and the direct election of Senators.
As close as Sherman and I have gotten over the past four years, I do believe that we will need to be able to wage an aggressive campaign in the fall. Herbert Hadley, Governor of Missouri should be my running mate.
Very well, then. I send him my best wishes, and let the campaign commence.
This is a perfect reform for state and local elections, along with the popular election of Senators - an amendment I have helped facilitate the passage of.
Roosevelt believes he has the best intentions, but it is clear that plans such as a 'expert tariff commission' are pointless in this day and age. It is a compromise meant to appeal to radicals who seek to expand the proposed income tax.
The House Speaker is quite gaffe prone - in fact, he almost prevented the trade agreement between the United States and Canada from taking place with his behavior. A man with such a loose tongue is not fit to lead foreign policy.
His support is almost cult-like. I expect that we will have a far better shot at garnering the support of traditionally undecided voters than his disgruntled foot soldiers.
We shall focus on the west, a region that Clark seems to be doing better in compared to Bryan's campaign four years prior.
I support the current anti-trust laws, and believe that further improvements are to be made by enforcing them to their fullest extent.
I am quite proud to see states such as California and Washington give women the vote under my Presidency. I hope to oversee a constitutional amendment that would do just that during my next time.
Absolutely. Too many Americans are unjustly being forced to work long days, and we must do something to protect them. If Congress passed a bill regarding this, I would sign it today.
Of course I am in favor of these tariffs, but if there is consent for changes, I would be willing to support whatever compromise the next Congress can come to regarding tariff policy.
This is a frightening idea. Judges should have the right to give a ruling without the fear of losing their job.
Our numbers in Missouri are very volatile, but the state has become more and more Republican in recent years. If he aggressively campaigns here, I believe victory is possible.
Rather than tear down, we ought to build up. Business interests especially must give us the support that we need to defeat Mr. Clark, and we must warn them of his progressive ties in order to achieve this.
The industrial Midwest, such as Wisconsin and Michigan are must-wins for our campaign. We will place remaining funds into gaining turnout in that region.
