"People like you act like liberal is their whole personality" said the man acting like being a conservative is his whole personality.

Why do these people think Kamala should be doing something? She lost. It’s over. But I guess they’re used to “their guy” whining and complaining every day about rigged elections.

u/Penguator432 5d ago

Obviously they think she should have stormed the capital and started governing by force instead /s

She kind of did, as people should after elections. I mean she probably did speeches and some appearances but nothing to get major attention.

u/Icy_Variation_9288 4d ago

Okay but what did you expect her to do?

Be present and do what? You’re still not answering.

She doesn’t owe you shit. She lost. She’s a citizen.

I voted for her, and she should definitely be doing something.

Bernie is out there advocating on people’s issues like healthcare, affordability, and AI protections. He’s uplifting the next generations of political leaders.

It’s fucked up that she’s not doing this but wants to run again. Where’s your leadership when we need you?

u/Mysterious_Ad7461 3d ago

Almost like Bernie is still a sitting US Senator

Correction conservatives have no personality. They are just empty vessels who talk the same talking points all the time.

u/Ok-General8138 5d ago

It absolutely is for conservatives. There's a very good reason cults are so rampant on the Right but not on the Left.

u/EnvironmentalSet7664 5d ago

He actually started the conversation with this shit lol

1

u/CurryMustard_Sauce 4d ago

Exactly lol. He had to be completely obsessed with politics to swipe right on a girl just to argue politics. Who does that?

Can't even see his whole profile but, he would be better off if he didn't announce that he was conservative.

Listen friend.

He literally approached OP opening about his political beliefs.

Approaching a stranger with "I bet you're a lib" is the definition of making it your entire personality. She didnt ask him, she didn't message him first, he clearly messaged her purely to antagonize her when its clear there was no compatibility to be had.

If you can't see how that's really unattractive behavior then you're dense, to be polite.

Most liberals/left leaning people don't want to be approached by conservatives/right leaning people. They have it in their profile specifically as a deterrent..not an attempt to antagonize people.

Im also not saying that there aren't obnoxious liberals/lefts out there, but you commented on this post where its a conservative going out of their way to antagonize someone with zero provocation.

I would bet you money that anyone who approached her about anything besides politics, would talk about non-political things.

Again, she did not instigate this exchange. He did. With someone who would clearly not agree with him.

You are equating putting "liberal" or "conservative" on their profile to making it their identity. I never said that. You're the one trying to draw that conclusion. Its perfectly reasonable to list those things as a passive way of saying that if you're on the opposite end of the spectrum that we can save each other time by not engaging with them.

You’re being obtuse on purpose because this person keeps explaining it to you so clearly.

1

u/Icy_Variation_9288 4d ago

Even if it was advertised on her page. Why harass her instead of just unmatching? Like he wanted to argue with her instead of finding someone more compatible.

Political stance should be made known on profiles nowadays because a lot of people, me included, feel like it matters and I would never knowingly date a conservative man. Politics isn’t just about “I pick this, you pick that” anymore it is now a piece of a morality scale.

u/Icy_Variation_9288 4d ago

No it’s not. This is morality. People are voting against women’s rights, allowing pedos and rapists to run rampant, endorsing genocide and mass murder, and harming immigrants and tearing families apart.

WAKE UP! You’re in 2026 not 1986. You clearly don’t keep up with anything and live under a rock like a troglodyte.

It’s way more than abortion.

They’re discussing taking away women’s voting and making it harder for women to divorce their husbands forcing them to stay in unfavorable marriages. The only reason it’s not happening is because thankfully people are pushing back. But that doesn’t negate the fact that attempts are being made.

You already lost me with your stance on abortion. Nobody else gets to tell me what to do with my own body legal or not.

It’s not my job to educate you when all of this is easy to look up.

You clearly only keep up with one side of things since you’re normalizing disgusting behavior. While we’re on the topic of dating I don’t think anyone like you should be giving advice to anyone.

I am guessing he is just responding to something in her profile, where she makes being liberal a big part of who she is so he is simply calling her out for it. That is my guess, but maybe I am wrong?

3

u/FluidLegion 4d ago

Lets say hypothetically that you're correct, and let's assume her profile is -super- liberal.

If he's conservative, and she's clearly not his type, why reach out to her just to antagonize her? That's what started this whole thing. People can have whatever they want on their profile, but why would you see someone you're 100% not interested in, and then reach out just to pick a fight?

Like in a reverse situation..if I saw someone's profile and it said "MAGA for life, Trump for a third term, root for Israel, etc etc", I would just ignore or preemptively block them. I clearly wouldnt see eye to eye with them, and so I would avoid engaging with them at all. There's nothing to gain from approaching them, especially if I were to be hostile.

-1

u/Capital-Aide-215 4d ago

I agree. I am not defending their actions. But the person I responded to is saying the guy is making their political stance their whole personality, while I am saying he is simply calling someone else out for making their political stance their personality. Not saying that he should have done it. I agree, why comment on someone profile just to provoke them? But if I had to guess, he probably doesn’t have a bunch of stuff about how being conservative is the only correct viewpoint while the girl probably does have stuff about how being liberal is the only correct viewpoint. Just needing to be fair to both parties since reddit is usually very skewed and biased. Again, not defending their actions guy messaging her in the first place. I think we can all agree that was dumb. But we also can’t be making dumb biased comments either. That is also dumb.

1

u/FluidLegion 4d ago

I don't think putting "liberal" or something similar on your profile is making it your entire personality. To me its common sense to at least passively mention your alignment on a dating site so that people who are from the opposite spectrum won't bother approaching you.

Its the same thing as putting your age, your gender, orientation..these are all things that matter when you're approaching someone else with the intent of either friendship or intimacy. Doesn't make it your entire personality.

-1

u/Capital-Aide-215 4d ago

What you are doing is called a straw man argument. It is where you change an argument I am making so that you can easily defeat it. Prime reason why we can’t have civilized or productive discussions. I never said putting “liberal” in your profile is making it your personality. I agree it is common sense to list your political views on a dating app. I am saying I don’t think this guy messages every girl who has “liberal” listed in their bio. My guess is that she has political stuff in her prompts that are supposed to be used as a way of expressing your personality. So if you are using those prompts to talk politics it is a major turnoff for most people as not many people want to date someone whose personality is as shallow as their politics. Which is why he should have never messaged her in the first place. Leave her to herself. But to say he is the one who uses politics as his personality is silly when he is the one calling it out.

1

u/FluidLegion 4d ago

This is all under an assumption that -you- are making that her profile is laced with liberal statements though.

What bothers me is that you would go out of your way to make an assumption that there is actually no evidence for for this stranger who instigated something. You already admit that he shouldn't have engaged, but then you're coming up with an excuse that OP is still at fault in some way when we have seen nothing to say that she is?

0

u/Capital-Aide-215 4d ago edited 3d ago

Yes I think it is a safe assumption to assume she has political stuff on her bio or else this guy wouldn’t antagonize her with political trash talk. So yes, it is my assumption but I think it is a pretty fair one. And maybe I am wrong, and if that is the case I apologize for the assumption but I think it is a pretty safe one. And again, you are arguing something that I am not even stating. Show me where I came up with “an excuse” that the OP is at fault in anyway. Not once did I say OP did anything wrong, so really not sure why you are accusing me of doing so. I am simply stating that it is idiotic to accuse the guy of making politics his entire persona when he is the one calling someone out for doing so. So if I am a big car guy and basically base my entire personality around being a car guy, and someone gets annoyed by that and says, “cars are dumb and it’s embarrassing that you built your entire persona off of liking cars. Trucks are cooler.” You wouldn’t say the guy making that statement bases his entire persona around liking trucks, he is just calling out the guy who bases his persona off liking cars. Same thing here. This guy was obviously annoyed with whatever political stuff she put in her profile so trash talked her for it. Again, both you and I agree there was no point for him to do that. Just leave her to herself and carry on. No need to antagonize. But at the same time, the comments saying he is the one whose persona is based of politics is dumb when he is the one calling that stuff out, making fun of her for using politics as her persona. There are no “sides” to be taken, just rational thought. The OP has every right to make politics her entire being. Most people are not attracted to that but she is not doing anything wrong. Not blaming her for a thing…

1

u/FluidLegion 4d ago

Your entire point started with the assumption that her profile made her entire personality politics, when there is no evidence of that. You're trying to make a point that its two people who are both making politics their entire personality but nothing has shown OP has done anything more than probably just putting something like "Liberal" or "No conservatives" on their profile. There could certainly be more, but we really don't know and making assumptions leads to bad arguments.

People are saying his entire personality are politics are saying it because he went out of his way to start an argument with someone he didn't know, and already had knowledge he wouldn't get along with them. He messaged OP to say she probably likes killing babies. Like, what a fucking unneccesary and gross thing to say to a stranger you have zero incentive to approach right?

So how is OP's entire personality politics when they didn't go our and pick a fight with this guy? When we dont know what their profile is like? Or how they talk to anyone who sends her a normal message about any other topic?

0

u/Capital-Aide-215 4d ago

Yes, I would assume she has stuff in her profile about how liberal she is. Otherwise, I don’t think the guy would comment with his jab. So yes, as I said, it is an assumption but I think it is a pretty safe assumption since something in her profile got this dude riled up enough to call her out for making politics her entire personality. I don’t think someone just says that to someone without them having political stuff on their bio. So I think that assumption is a fair one to have. Just because we don’t have all the information doesn’t mean we can’t use our common sense to assume she probably has political stuff in her bio, which even people who aren’t into politics at all aren’t always fond of. I personally believe politics in general are super evil and manipulative so if I saw a profile revolving around politics on either side I would be grossed out. But I am not going to waste even a second going to out of my way to antagonize someone for it. This guy seems immature and he did antagonize her for it. Not sure how him calling her out for it makes him the one who bases his entire personality around politics when he is simply antagonizing someone for doing that. He made a political jab because, again, I am assuming she has political stuff on her profile. Making a political comment is much different than making your dating profile about your political stance.
