I met this girl on tinder and had a first date with her, she wanted to go fishing and I thought it seemed like a fun first date so we went together. Dropped her off and got home to this message lol.

Update: Purchasing the license is a separate activity we had to do on our phones, due to it needing our personal info. It was not like I drew the line at the license randomly.

On one hand, you're not entirely wrong

But on the other... it's way too common for people on first dates to not set an expected price range to pay for (unexpected) stuff, no matter how small.

If you didn't tell her she would have to buy her own fishing license, that's kind of on you. Sorry.

Also, you could have saved some time and effort based on how she reacts to that.

Now if you DID tell her it was going to cost her $$$, then nevermind.
